The Truth Behind BLINDING HEADLIGHTS and How to Stop It
High beams are brighter because high beams are usually a completely separate light bulb AND housing from low beams! What you said is simply not true! I even had two cars with halogen high beams and HID auto leveling low beams. I keep my headlamps and my glass clean, but driving a normal car with LEDs like mine, is still impossible with tall vehicles(Cadillac, Jeep) or badly designed headlights(Tesla, new Toyotas) which use LEDs without auto leveling. Auto leveling used to be STANDARD on cars with HID headlamps(90s and 00s). Now with LEDs its not? Wtf
Thanks for your feedback. While it’s true that many vehicles do come with separate housings for the high beam, the bulb output in lumens is usually very close to the low beam bulb. For example on vehicles with halogen bulbs they are usually within just 5watts of each other /‘s not enough to make a substantial difference. The main difference’s is usually the reflector design and angle which projects the light at a higher angle almost like more of a flood light as opposed to a narrower focused beam with a more distinct cut off on the low beam. As a result they tend to help you see a little farther and more around you but simultaneously blinding other oncoming drivers.
Youre not talking about the fact that LEDs dont typically have auto levelers!!! Old HID headlamps had them required by law!
The main point of the video deals with properly adjusting your light level. The video is aimed at the entire world where many vehicles would never have come equipped with that feature or where it is not a legal requirement. Currently it’s only in the USA that bi-xenon lights require that feature and a lot of Europe. However for the other 90% of the world it’s not normally a requirement so understanding the fundamental issue will help users deal with it whether or not the vehicle was equipped. I agree it is a useful feature and one that should be standard on all modern vehicles but unfortunately that’s not the case right now. Many vehicles are coming with manual light level adjustment by means of a knob or dial in the cabin but that still depends on user input and does not help in changing circumstances while driving.
This guy is guyanese or from Barbados
They don't need them on in the day EVER. The average idiot has no common sense to even do what this suggests. Halogen lights were fine and only in super dark areas you used your brights. Remember when people got upset from normal brights on and would flash you. Now they are tolerating this crap!!! I'm the only 1 I see fighting them.
I love my nuts being properly lubricated before twerking 😂

There's only one problem - LED headlights are blinding us. I don't care how clean my windshield is, and LED's are going everywhere now - parking lot lights - too bright now. Lights on the sides of buildings - too bright now. The metal halides were fine for these things. Walmart here just changed out their rows and rows of ceiling fluorescent tube lights with blinding LED tubes. They glare over the entire store and reflect back up from their shiny floor. I can't even read the signs down the isle ways to find what I'm looking for. Everything is getting blurry when I have to see with LED lights. I will bet money that some time down the road they're going to finally discover the damage that's being done to people's eyes. We look at LEDs on our phones, computers, TVs, and now these blinding headlights - I literally will slow down and veer to the right side of my lane because it looks like some of these big pickups many of which have 4 headlights now might sideswipe me and I can't see. I don't like driving blind. If something's on the street and I'm being blinded by oncoming lights I'm not going to see what's on the street. There's a restaurant back in an industrial area where all of the big storage units have put big LED lights and they shine right at you when you drive past where people are parking along the street to go o the restaurant. If someone steps out from behind a car to cross the street to get to their care you won't be able to see them. I really think it's only a matter of time before someone gets hit there. Again, the ONLY PROBLEM is LED lights being installed everywhere now and especially in headlights. We could all see just fine before without these things. It's infuriating they're allowed - they are a road hazard to all oncoming traffic.
You may need longer nots hahah
Well documented, thank you!
Great video! Appreciate the humor and the conciseness.
I put reflective bag in the middle of my rear window. It blocks out 90% of aholes behind me. Also put sign in rear window "stop blinding us...." People read it and sometimes concede. Nothing bad for past few mos. Everyone agrees including the 1's doing this. It needs to STOP NOW
Contact your congressperson and pressure them to make law to adjust or change headlights. Tell law enforcement to fine anyone especially with them on in daytime. There is NO time we can drive or see now. Babies and animals are harmed also!!!!
How is it holding up?

did you ever make the video about the hubcentric spacers? cannot see it in your archive
Thank you 😊
Just got a cnc machine and wanted to make my own spacers so I’m watching videos on here. Was wondering why your accent sounded familiar. Shout out to my 🇧🇧 family💪🏽
"cun" what?
Excellent
Excellent delivery! I’ve been contemplating purchasing spacers for my 2019 Accord 2.0. What size would you recommend to show a good stand out from stock but will avoid the most complications?
but every time i change tires i have to tight it again on the right torque? or just the torque betwen the spacer and the car have to be right? sry if it wasnt cleary but i think is undertandable

I just put spacer's on my Mustang Gt and it's only been a few days.. The car feels more cat like.. But I have a feeling the driver side front spacer is torqued a little more than it calls for.. I am going to pull the wheel off this week and re do it... The fronts were a little more difficult to do because they spin around on you.. I put a pry bar in-between lug bolts n I used an impact along with a torque wrench.. They called for 150 foot pounds and I may have been over by 5 foot pounds, IDK I am going to take it out for a little ride today.. I already took her out on a long 1 hour ride on back roads that are bumpy and you have to make turns and also a lot of stop and go. Then I took her out on highway to check for any NVH, and everything felt smooth took the car up to 70 n 80 for a minute and so far so good.. I hated the way the stock wheels looked sunk in like that!!! th-cam.com/video/7Z9uTgZeKwU/w-d-xo.html
PSA - Wheel spacers are not an excuse. Steer your mustang away from crowds
it's been a year, where's the follow up on hubcentric rings?

Definitely more of these sit downs.
Good interview. Once upon a time the 20v men had the streets hot wasn't about the fastest car was mostly about the better driver. Would like to see some of that action on the track. Sentra men included. That is where the real action is at
Good stuff. War is in the ear.

Great video as usual! Keep up the good work.
Big up yourself FUR!!!!
There is a point when too much power will make you slower. Do the best you can at the lowest power before increasing it.
People are afraid of what they dish out. Can not face the lights because they can not handle the heat they are giving to others

Brilliant interview!!!😂
They can't beat you Russian.... Awesome. I like 'em 😁
I hear an optometric association has come out against super bright headlights being available. When people have the
The government is just not doing its job to protect public safety so what else is new
Okay here's the only thing you can do illuminate your brights briefly to give them a chance to dim. If they don't dim Grant them a longer period of exposure. My standard is if my eyes hurt they have their brights on. Pickup trucks have higher and more powerful lights which complicates the matter notwithstanding the fact that many pickup trucks are driven by Young punk males who really don't care Whether you can see. The automotive industry has refused to standardize headlight height.😊😊
You're completely missing the point. Vehicle lighting used to regulated and had a maximum acceptable output. Don't know if that has changed or if the government is just become lackadaisical especially the police who do nothing about failure to dims. The situation is making it much worse for people who don't have perfect vision are aged or handicapped who was previous sliding got by just fine . It's like somebody in the government took a huge bribe to allow the lighting industry to go forward unrestrained. Notice how many vehicles have extra lights that were previously considered equipment violations. I would like to know how many avoidable collisions hypocrite due to unregulated lightin andg
Does it harden after a few days ??
No not really, it has a slightly rougher texture than before painting as you would expect, dependent as well on how many coats or how thick you spray it but it doesn't get any worse after the initial dry.
Great video... ok, does it differ being Anodized or raw non Anodized? Are anodized ones as strong as non anodized ones?
Anodizing can make aluminum slightly stronger but for structural parts like this the main thing is the material type. Anodizing is more often used as a surface protectant to help reduce corrosion or for changing the color
Oh no! I’m one of the idiots that thought anti seize on lug nuts was a good idea.
Great interview! I'd like to see more interviews with others in the motorsport scene
i have a set of 2017 18" silverado wheels and tires that are in great shape.. i want to put them on a 2019 silverado, but they slightly rub the caliper.. could i use a 1/4" spacer to get the clearence, and safely run these wheels, so i dont have to spend 1500 on tires, and have a set of wheels i dont need laying around?? thanks for any advice
You’ll be fine dude , I ran stacked 4 inch spacers
