As one of the game's writers I have to say I love how detailed and analytical this video is. You really get into the meat of how the game was put together and the function and messages behind many of the characters. Regarding Kiera, not being able to simply sidequest her trauma away is very deliberate. Part of the point is that you're not the main character in her life, and some problems are out of scope for the player to solve. You can be her friend, and that's all she wants from you. It ties in a little with the concept of the "dove's dilemma" in Syd's story. You can't fix every problem, but you can still try to do good in the world.

Having this video out feels so good. We'll be going back to BG3 to finish the mod series, then the Durge run. I need something lighter and less work intensive right now, haha. I know there's an oversaturation of mods for horned races, but I'd like to see Oni as a playable race; I'm surprised there isn't to be honest, especially with only one mod for ogres. Male-presenting bodies, either half-orc or Halsin. Female-presenting, either half-orc or Karlach. Subraces are elemental-based and colored as such; I would pick fire, storm, forest, and ice, or orange to red, blue to purple, brown to green, and white to cyan, having an Oni subrace for every basic color seems like splitting hairs, plus having a yellow Oni seems a little yikes and also I don't know what element it'd be, maybe earth but there aren't a lot of stone or earth-related spells/cantrips. I'd make their horns seamless with their heads just to make them distinct from tieflings, but that also feels like splitting hairs.

3:20 Thank you so much for the shout-out! Since I have gotten a few comments about it, I've now added a file that overrides the main file and removes the buff from the goggles. Also, I am working on a different pair of goggles atm, though it might be a while until they are out.
