I think you're way off base with this. I would argue that there's no good analogue for Trump, but the best one I can come up with is Sabo. Comes from wealth, but can't stand how his peers treat the poorer classes. The revolutionaries don't want to dismantle the world order, but replace it. The Marines will answer to Sabo at the end, but they will still be a thing. The Dems aren't just the Marines, they're Sakazuki. Entirely complicit in their oppression, and all too eager to fulfill the wishes of the actual people in charge.

I think Doflamingo is the best analog available within the story of one piece, but Blackbeard is a closer fit in some ways. Doflamingo's large but fragile ego, his position as a false savior to Dressrosa, and his birth status as a elite fit Trump well. The mafia-esque structure of his inner circle and his fixation on loyalty are especially similar. Blackbeard's mix of long-term plans and smaller opportunistic schemes remind me of Trump. His recklessness and overconfidence also seem to be shared. The 'flexible' moral compass and self-serving nature of Blackbeard align more closely to Trump than Doffy does imo. Doflamingo genuinely cares for the members of his family in a way that Trump hasn't displayed to people like Cohen, Banon, Guiliani, ect... Ultimately, I still think Doflamingo is a better comparison to make. Blackbeard is a pirate first and foremost, and Trump is a Con-Man/politician. The ideals of freedom are inseparable from Blackbeard's idealogy in a way that is incompatible to what Trump stands for. Doffy is, in many ways, a pirate in name only. He manipulates narratives and controls the production/distribution of goods and information to maintain and increase his own power, and harbors ambitions to sit at the top of the world. However, he ultimately functions as a puppet to the interests of the most powerful forces like the Government and the Yonko, and is bitter at that fact. If that isn't Trump, I don't know what is.

Big L here, the story is still very much the one piece that I have loved the entire time, and it is still going strong on its core ideals. Luffy isn't going to do anything because he's the chosen one, he has his own motivations not defined by his devil fruit. Its ok if the main cast takes a sideline for important developments such as momo and his retainers. Its happened before with marineford. Everyone has their turn - Pedro/Roger There are still many mystery's that need answers and everyone still has room for improvement and development. The world is rich with life and so many characters are on their own paths and I eagerly await for them to converge at the time of final resolution.
