The amount of people in comments trying to make playing at low-tier as some kind of inexcusable offense is kind of funny. Personally I prefer low-mid tier for the difference in tactics and how the armor and ballistics factor in. At top tier ground, strategies that otherwise work at every other tier are negated by Thermals, APFSDS, and guided missiles, and armor largely means nothing. Meanwhile at mid and low-tier, there's more options for strategy and play that feel more rewarding. Concealment feels useful and breaking your silhouette behind some terrain bushes in a treeline and using binoculars to rangefind and snipe from a hidden position feels immensely rewarding. And armor vs weapons feels more like a fun rock-paper-scissors. The right angle, or the right position can mean all the difference in the world and it feels good to sometimes catch someone lacking by having a shot be deflected or eaten. I can't remember how long I've been at level 100, but I usually hover around 4.0 - 5.7 the most because the guns and amount of armor people have feel the most consistent in terms of performance. Guns are reliable but don't overperform, and armor doesn't render you fully invincible, but might save you from a few bad run-ins. Aircraft in Ground RB feel good to fly and dogfight in, and overall the experience feels really rewarding. Then there's times I just want to mess around at lower tier like 1.0 - 3.3 using tanks I haven't touched in ages and just want to enjoy the simplicity of. Do I end up overperforming in most of my matches against lower-level players? Yeah. But I was at their stage at one point and they'll learn how to get to where I am eventually when I had to face off against higher levels who knew the mechanics and strategies. War Thunder's engagements are an exercise in patience. People either need to learn not to rush too fast, or will die enough times to someone prepared until they also know when is a good time for pushing versus when is a good time for patient hunting. At the end of the day I can't unlearn the lessons I picked up about the game, and new players aren't going to suddenly improve without a little guidance and shown examples. I picked up all my strats from running up against higher level players and seeing some of the stuff they pulled, or the info they shared, a few I figured out myself, but it's a collaborative effort.

top tier is just "you exist? too bad, agm" you get tired of it after a few hundred hours. now i play italian and russian low -> mid tier cause its goofy as fuck. i actually get to play as a tank instead of having to worry about an F-15 just dominating the skies and then dropping an ungodly amount of ordinance on my poor leopard.

I often go low br, however i rarely ever go below 2.3. And even then i usually pick another player to follow and make it my mission to support them and keep them alive instead of just driving around murdering all the seals. Low tier is fun tier as long as you remember that its a game and everyone at that low br is only playing for fun. Its nice not being bombed from 10km away or sniped from across the map by someone you never saw. Plus its a much more even playing field without all the tech giving advantages to certain countries. Less tech makes actual skill more necessary. Also some of my best players in my squad i met at low br by helping and now days they spend their time kicking butt at high tier by supporting their teamates.

Because they got absolutely rolled in their mid to high tier game and want to feel better about themselves. The majority of people saying they 'like low tier' actually like the inexperience that players have at that level, and how easy/free some kills are. I say this as someone who's a little over half way through a tech tree, at 6.7 USA, because I do it too. You aren't fighting level 100s with years of experience every single engagement, so by and large, you can have more 'fun' in those games, and you can absolutely get double-digit-kill games with next to no effort. TL;DR: people like seal clubbing but they feel shame admitting this, so most are trying to insist that it's for other reasons.

As a Level 100 with WAY TOO MANY hours Ill say that I definitely prefer mid and low and mid tier a lot better then High and Top tier

This is just like enlisted. Experienced players go into br 2 and 3 battles with fully upgraded squads and gear and bully noobs. Where as br 5 games are filled with level 1 soldiers bolt action starter rifles and 1 m1 carbine with a grenade launcher. Balancing is a joke

As lvl 100 myself i prefer lower tiers with different tanks rather than 5 same tanks in every battle (T-80/90 series, Leopard, Abrams, Type 90 and sometimes Challenger)

Im pretty low level if I look at your definition and play the f5c, I did a lot of research to find out if it is the right vehicle for me and most of the videos told me that it would just be dogfighting with looking for missiles and I liked dogfighting and wanted to grind the US air tree, so I bought it and after a few matches I got some kills, I’m still learning to especially survive radar missiles and missile spam, (I never brought any bombs to those matches) but in my opinion it’s wrong to just call them noobs or insult them with other words, just because they have a low level, they can still be useful. In my opinion there are too many people being so frustrated, I don’t give anything to losing, even if the rewards are better, I just want to have fun and I think there are too few people having the same thought

I reached top tier American air in ~400-500 hours with the F-5C. I was lucky to have a mate willing to teach me the ropes of top tier and how to dogfight with *15,000 hours.* Im now doing Sweden with the JA37DI F21, probably should have gotten the J35XS in hindsight but oh well, this is still working really well. Currently at 7.0 air researched in ~100-150 hours.
