      Not sure what you mean. Properly filtering your vapour gasses stops oil film coating your intercooler internals which in turn improves its efficiency and can see an improvement of up to 4c compared to an oil contaminated unit. So as a performance mod it is excellent .

    Hi I just discovered your channel while trying to find info to help with an over boost fault I've had on my Insignia VXR (2015) ever since I bought it 5 years ago. The problem got worse when I has a remap but got better when i gapped the plugs to .63mm but it's getting worse again. I'd love if you could have a look and also recommend any mods if I can get this problem solved. I've had it in several garaged including Thorney Motor Sports and no one can fix it.

      Is the maf sensor in the standard location. And also rotated in the original position and not upside down. Seen this cause issue before. Usually with aftermarket intake.

      @@garymgzs280 Hi Gary, I've checked and it is. I had a look at the wastegate actuator this evening. It won't operate with my vacuum pump - I trued up to 25 on the scale but U was able to move the rod manually - I could pull it out with a lot of force and it springs back. The specific problem I get is the over boost if I accelerate hard or say I accelerate too hard from 50 to 70 in 6th gear. When in VXR mode the problem is much worse and more frequent. If I accelerate gently then I don't get the fault. Any ideas? I've already changed the actuator switch and checked all the pipe work. Also had in in with Thorney Motor Sport who could not find anything. The only thing that has made a difference is, after speaking to Courtnay Motor Sport once, they advised me to gap the plugs to between 0.6 and 0.65 - they came when I bout the car gapped to 0.9 and Haynes said 1.1! I went down in increments to 0.62 and it was way better for 6 months but now these symptoms seem a little different and instead of the engine light flashing I get "Service Vech. soon" instead.

    I’m planning on rebuilding my Signum 2.8 V6 I may fit those rods are they just an off the shelf part ? Also do you use a standard or stand alone ECU as mine can’t be mapped so thinking of getting one , what ECU would you suggest

      Hi there. Yes wossner sell them off the shelf. And they are a direct fit. I don't know why your ecu cannot be mapped. We have plenty of signum in the uk running hybrid turbos and making 380+ bhp. Tuning was done by aura tuning in the uk. He has a Facebook page and can remote map aswell. A lot of tuners turn you down when you ask because the setup in our cars is not popular. So they will spend weeks and weeks perfecting maps to only have a few customers. They stick to the volume stuff like vw and bmw. I would only consider going standalone if making serious changes to the engine.

      @@garymgzs280 yeah I went to Wirral remaps and he put a map on the car and it wouldn’t start , then he reverted back to stock and it ran fine , he said there was a fault on the ECU , but I also got told mine needs a chip as is the very early 2005 model.

      @medievilassassin sounds like he put a map on for a 2007+ model which has different cam sensors and will not run. Aura tuning can definitely sort you out. Mapped my saab to 514bhp . There's been probably over 100 of these engine mapped by him now . Our original group of 32 saabs compelled him to get on board and start mapping them. The first car took many hours across 2 weeks to get the maps perfected . Since then he's been the main person in UK for them. He remote maps them also for people in other countries.

      Do it. Not every day something like this comes up for sale. The manifolds alone were £2000 to make. I think the build cost would be around £4000 and ontop of that countless man hours. It's ready to collect from swindo wilts and my customer lookin for £3000 .

      Hi there. That is the Purge valve . Normal operation is for it to click on and off intermittently to vent vapour pressure from the fuel tank into the engine. It sounds like yours is working as normal.

    Recirculating the Disgusting and contaminated Blowby ... Back thru the turbo.. the Ic... the Intake and back into the engine is inefficient and frankly a stupid (cheap) technique ... ONLY there to meet emissions decrees. Delete the entire system .. I did.

      255lph is lower than the stock pump . Stock pump is estimated around 300lph

      You have to pull it out and break off the securing tabs . There is no other way to remove it without breaking the tabs.

      Turbo x is totally different. You have a saddle tank with 2 senders. So under the bum of the 2 rear seat passengers.

    Just wanted to say you made a mistake disconnecting right bank from suction manifold. Here is why : left and right bank are internally connected throug timing chain cover . It means if you blow air from right bank vapour port , air will come out from left bank vapour port . At idle , which Turbo is not working hard , vacuum from intake manifold will suck both banks gases , and during high air intake situations, air pressure difference from turbo suck the glasses out of both banks . Now at idle you have more byproduct gases in both banks and you might have small leaks from not very worn-out gaskets. Now here is the answer to main reason to the first problem : all GM high future engines of this type have this problem because of poor ventilation inside the engine, also lack of oil splashes inside the valve cover due to the design of rocker arms and tappets. It means oil is not present to wash off the very top of engine. Re arranging pc system will make things worse than before.

      If your logic was correct than the standard PCV system would see both banks the same! As this is not true and they have the same rockers etc they cannot be the reason for the difference ‼️

      @@wensz1 engineers who designed the car are correct! Change the oil every 8000km with good quality SN oil , or dexos , every thing will be fine

      Could be timing chain jumped. Any error codes. Does it misfire constantly . I've seen a few injectors stick open . Could be that

      @garymgzs280 Yes, it's constant, I've even tried higher quality fuel and injection cleaner, and nothing is working.

      Could be the variable valve solenoids VVT's. They can affect performance. Remove and clean or replace

    Great vid and I was curious how you actually unclip the fuel filter strainer with the flat screw driver. I couldn’t seem to separate mine. Explanation would be great - thank you.

      It has a grip washer. So a bit of brute force and ignorance

      @@garymgzs280 hahaha nice and I’m assuming you push on it through the slot where you can see it, correct? Can the washer be rotated and more like a c/e-clip?

      Not sure what you mean. They stream in good quality. Lot of people use them and find them helpful. Maybe your country settings are changing what you can see .

      the us fuel pump assembly is completely different .
