    Nice job as usual, made me 😁😁😁 at the finish, AND telling some to do one (25:03)!! Seriously, you don't do it their way, it's a sin! Every time, regardless, read the instructions. And sometimes I'd silicone with the taps on, other times more convenient off. Up to you, job gets done. Time's something if you have it, if not then fair enough. Some just love to nit-pick. It should be standard for new builds with soil stack box-ins' to have a hatch built-in for access, makes so much sense. Was going to mention about the towel rail, but you've answered it already. 👍👍

    Bathroom look great! Well done! You have said that you will mention the prices (video nr 1 comments). Gentlemen do not talk about the money, we definitely don't and should not know your profit on the bathroom, but could you say very roughly, how did you priced the each part job? As a day rate? That fix in a nearby room with access panel, I still don't know how to price that sort of extras and usually end up doing it for free :(

    • @SmartPipePlumbing
      @SmartPipePlumbing 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I didn’t charge them any more for fixing the leak as I think I’d caused it doing the first fix. In regards to pricing I usually work out how long roundly it’s going to take and charge a day rate plus materials and other trades. Then I’ll add a little extra on the end for profit if there room left for some

    I'll only recommend connecting straight to the bath tap tails with your 22mm ONLY when you know for sure that in the future there will be ample space i.e no basin or pan restricting you so that you could go in and easily reach the pipes, cut and re-solder because each bath tap tails are going to be slightly different. Otherwise stick a full bore flexi on, also there's barely any difference with flow.

    Pipework is shocking imo & why reduce it down to 15 surely that will affect the flowrate during bath filling . I appreciate the different process with press but thats no excuse for thrownh about 40 quids worth of fittings under the bath whilst doing it. Wheres the finesse and pride in your work. Thats site work standard . Just because no ones going to see it is no excuse. Its having pride in your work. As for mdf bath panel stop using them theyre a disaster , make one out of plastic

      I prefer the composite one full waterproof and not flimsy at all. Don’t think it turned out bad at all the pipe work. There was max about £10 worth of fittings

      @@SmartPipePlumbing if you think that the pipework turned out OK then that's concerning ! It was a new install where if you had taken the proper time to set it out you wouldn't have had that carnage of copper pipework and strangled fkexys . You'd of already known tbe limited space at the tap end available because the bath was on site. But you just do what you always do on nearly every bathroom I've watched, you make mistake after mistake because you're rushing and no forethought goes in. You're either pricing it soo tight so you end up throwing it in. Maybe how you view it is different because you've not been shown how it should be done with time planning and forethought & preparation. 1st fixing properly is paramount on any job . That's where you trip yourself up because you're always in a rush or don't have the materials so make do with what's on the van. You know you have jobs coming up so you make sure you're stocked up.

      @@actorlyric alright mr perfect, mistakes happen and you learn from them. Everything does the work different. If I do it different to you that’s fine if you do it different to free down the road that’s fine. No one’s perfects everyone makes mistakes it’s about how you deal with them and move forwards. I don’t generally keep a stock on the van, not one that I keep up to as all the jobs I do vary that much. So I get what I need when I need it. Again it’s each to their own, if that’s how you run your business that’s fine but don’t come here criticising mine. Me making this sort of content isn’t for that. It’s for helping me learn and also maybe helping others, and also creating a community of like minded people.

      @@SmartPipePlumbing I wasn't trying to be a smart arse far from it . I was lucky to work for a company that drilled it in to me about doing things properly and if I didn't then I had to rip it out and do it again even If a pipe had a ripple in it ! Yes I have the value of hindsight and nearly 50 years under my belt. Certainly doesn't make me the best or a know it all. I see a really good guy stepping out on his own which is hard enough. I was 26 and terrified when I did. I have had things beaten in to me on how things should be even if you can't see them. So over time I became a perfectionist because if i didnt do it properly id be ripped in to, which isn't a good thing I also had my dad who worked for an engineering company who worked to tiny tolerances and had to be spot on so I had that to contend with. I was once told a great installer can chuck it in but a poor one can't do it neat ! I worked during the housing boom in the 80's on new build & it was like the wild west I'd never seen anything like that in my life as it was literally chucked in. Radiators hung in the wall with cut nails , pipes in the tanks burnt through with pipe. Probably that's why I never made alot of money doing site work because I was too neat! I wasnt going to sacrifice what I'd been taught. My perfectionism also comes from at the time undiagnosed adhd for the past 63 years ! Now I let things slide just a little as I dont do the big jobs anymore I do more reactive as my back and knees are fcuked .

    My pinhole leak from hot water pipe which destroyed a part of ceiling, fixed with a rothenberger kibosh emergency pipe repair kit. The pipe was in awkward area for guy to fix to replace pipe. So this was next best solution and it has worked. 👍😀😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

    Looking nice. Can you show some detail on the transtition between the tiles and the vinyl flooring when you get to that part? Do the tiles sit on top of the vinyl (for expansion) ? Thanks
