I'd just classify it as cosmetically damaged and recommend replacement. Not ID unless evidence of POC coming inside and to be AR it has to be at risk of becoming ID in the future and that's not really the case here, in my opinion. Other people might think differently of course!
Little tip for you, hook your tape on the wall outside measure to the front of the flue bend add 30mm transfer that measurement to the flue starting at the black clips that’s secure the flue together at the front. cut it and leave the inner 10mm longer. Perfect every time done 100s 👌
@@SmartPipePlumbing I've done the same on a Vaillant failed air territory test so had to take it all back out and you know what Vaillant flues are like with all the screwed clamps. Nightmare! 😂
I would have said that its Superficial damage that isn't affecting anything but I would have recommended getting it renewed but leave it to the customers to decide. I don't know if its right because I'm an apprentice but I thought I would put it out there.
It wasn’t at risk just cosmetic damage, and a lot of manufactures let you extend flues outside(past soffits ect,so that’s cosmetic too, customer’s decision that u can tidy it up if they want

Exactly what I did, gave the customer the option a week before on the service

Great tip is that mate 🙌
Nice work 👍🏽 I would check air intake before patching up otherwise you'll be ripping it all out if there was an issue.
Yeah it’s not a bad shout to be fair, now I think about it I’ve done it before where I’ve had to take it out as fga was wrong

That’s right mate I did exactly that 🙌
Depends what year the flue is. You can have white showing.
You sure on that! Let me know if you are!

Great work just one thing filter lid hand-tight please.
Should always give the a nip up with the tool it will leak otherwise
Also what did the flue integrity tests show.
It was ok, I advices customer I could do with changing and they decided to get it changed a week later
Flue should not be level, should be a fall back in to boiler

Think there a pump you can get with the tray do you sell that as well??? 🙂
@@strengthandpower3821 they do pal you can but the full kits
If it's been damaged before I would be inclined to fit a terminal guard on
It was due to someone dropping a scaffolding plank on it
At risk as no hole just slight damage and dent.
AR
Would change definitely
🤘😎🤘
🙌🙌
It’s just cosmetic, I’d leave it up to the customer. At risk has to be at risk of becoming ID this wouldn’t ever become dangerous.

@@SmartPipePlumbing Looks a lot neater flush to wall as well.
@@Danfrank24 did my best was a pain with how to brick had blown
Ncs
Why?
@@SmartPipePlumbing because it’s not Id or at risk but is not really how it’s intended to be so I’d say not to current standards.
