I feel it might have done some to help Bullock, as I did notice in episodes following the references of him being a creep definitely died down. In the christmas anthology episode of The New Batman Adventures, he even gave money to a kid who's dad was a particularly notorious criminal so she could give her father a present.

I have always wanted Dr. Phosphorus to be properly adapted and creature commandos didn't disappoint. I like the small hints of the humanity we see in phosphorus several times in the series. From playing with the little girl to consoling the bride after a tragic loss to the team. While he is still a ruthless sociopath, deep down, he is a broken man who lost his family and tried to replace them with power and violence.

It was a privilege to have intersected with this show as a child, it showed how proper drama was done, and is still a high point in television.

I mean sure, the people creating it went actively out of their way to shit on the potential audience and then demanded they thank them for it. This went so far as to feature blatantly false advertising implying Kevin Conroy was voicing Batman in it, even *after* his death. This also included an extremely costly but staggeringly ineffectual advertising campaign where they were literally advertising the show on remaining AM news radio stations in the US, both of them, but not via mediums like youtube ads, commercials *on* the same streaming service carrying it, or more. They also essentially did no merchandising tie in comics or any other stuff to potentiially make the project more financially viable. This included deliberate misrepresentation of the show's premise, writing staff, length, audience, and more. On top of which, the project was very delayed, full of plot holes, and oft times more concerned about hamfisted messaging then telling a story. On top of which a lot of the voice acting and character reintepertation was just plain bad. Oh, and it was only available on one specific streaming service behind an *additional* pay wall for most of the people who could have watched it until very recently on top of that. It's totally a mystery why it failed. I'm sure the fact they seemingly knowingly, and purposefully actively went out of their way to systematically fuck over any chance of making this show last a season, much less the doubtless 3 or more they intended played absolutely no part in the inevitable and completely predictable outcome we've seen with rather depressing consistency from a good number of modern franchise reboots in general, much less the absurd notion that this series should somehow be an exception despite making all the same errors.

6:59 You may be right but the impression I got from Cale is her fear, distrust and possibly envy of a seemingly invincible entity (i.e. Wonder Woman), especially if that entity one day turns on those whom she's sworn to protect for whatever reason.

I know Professor Pyg is the villain who came second in the poll, but since he is so drastically different from the comic version, I really hope that you also one day cover the Arkhamverse Professor Pyg. Unlike most villains in the games who have too much screen time and dialogue to cover in one video like Riddler or Joker, the amount of time for Professor Pyg's mission and his dialogue is only slightly longer than an episode. There's the details in the bodies Batman finds with what Lazlo considers were imperfections, so much so that they weren't worthy of being Dollotrons, the confrontation with him, his dialogue in the car and GCPD and lastly his interview tapes talking about his son Janosz Valentin and the riddler story when you scan the poster for the Circus of Strange. The game's depiction does something better in my opinion for the character which is show his Dollotrons with porcelain expressionless white masks which makes them look even more like dolls compared to what they look like in the comics where they have crazy red hair.

A favorite episode, not because of the end, which is great, but because of the relationship, where Bullock has a history of hatin', "That filthy bat scum." We really get a nice look at Bullock's life with this one.

For a very long time I used to go by the handle of Dr. Blight with a very basic meme picture of Blight from Batman Beyond as an avatar that I made in a few minutes on paint because as a kid I found the mental image of a glowing green radioactive skeleton posing as a doctor and giving medical advice hilarious. Words can't describe how I felt seeing this video and finding out that silly nonsense in-joke is apparently, from a certain perspective, actually a thing in DC canon.

I really don't like DC's treatment of Harley Quinn over the years. If you're going to reimagine the character, Bruce Timm anf co were the only ones to do it well. Not a big fan of the BCC latex costume, but love what thry did to Dr. Quinzel. In fact of all the BCC rogues, she is the only one so far I'd say is a real (and lasting) threat to Batman. But thst Harley isnt Arleen Sorkin. But then neither is whstever DC did to the character. Sadly, Arleen Harley wasn't going to escape the Joker's grasp except in death. His rather than hers, at least. But I wss rooting for her right up to ROTJ, because I thougjt she deserved better. And I've continued to think so as DC has made her into just a sex object (for young men and women, they're inclusove, ha!) and then a mockery of herself… Arleen will always be remembered by me at least, but there's room for another jester who only laughs without the makeup.

Thank you! I point this out to people and they rarely want to hear it. No no Batman killes him! Whay by being there? Notably he did get the powers this treatment promised him in TNBA, and yet Matt Hagen remains a murderer at heart. He wssn't really diminished without Annie it turns out, but he remained true to form: a violent control freak ready and eager to kill.

I really enjoy the comic reveal of him being a old movie aficionado, and having a shrine to them in his apartment. I wish this had been transplanted to the animated series if only to show him as more sensitive than he let on. I could also see him being a fan of the Grey Ghost, and being at the signing at the end

I always liked Bullock in Batman TAS, gruff, blunt, a slob and roiugher than he needed to be, but supposedly on the good side. Too bad I don't remember seing him in following animated series, aside from the sequel series.

Ironically in the Comics Croc has been an actually misunderstood guy who fundamentally decent but was driven to crime by being a Black man with a skin condition. B:TAS Croc had only one small shred of decency..

if I remember right there's a nice little easter egg in batman beyond where bruce wayne has the grey ghosts costume in the batcave and even wears it as a disguise when inque breaks into the batcave.

With the generally down-to-earth feeling of a lot of Absolute Comics so far, I really hope an Absolute Green Arrow is inevitable. Troyoboyo had a great video about their idea for Ollie in the Absolute Universe, and I really hope if/when that becomes a thing it's not dissimilar.
