    I ordered my pump on Amazon for like $247. I don’t know where all these prices are coming from but it’s the same part number. They wanted $1200 for the Kabota dealer. Did you have to order new banjo washers for this, or did you reuse your old ones?

    • @KevinGreer
      @KevinGreer 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I just reused the old washers and did not have any leaks. As far as the pricing of the pump goes there are numbers all over the place. I went with factory replacement parts. I am not sure if I would do that again. I just replaced loader bucket seal yesterday. Kubota price 540.00 After market price 165.00. I did the after market, No leaks and holding pressure just fine. I think Kubota sells tractors so they can sell overpriced parts later.

    Hey Kevin, you must like that hydro-drive system to give a constant amount of love (A minimum of 268.oo$) every 200hrs to that tranny. My MX5200 shuttle gets the same treatment every 400 hrs with one less 78.oo$ filter. Your cost per hour on fluids is 1.34$ per hour were my gear drive is a measly 46cents per hour. I know the fluid is "contaminated " because l have let the captured old fluid sit for a year over top of a powerful speaker magnet and a lot of "metal fuzz" ,about 3 tablespoons in each 5 gallons. Have "Never seen or heard" a hydrostatic trany ,from any make or model last more than 1500hours Even with these meticulous, frequent, & EXPENSIVE fluid changes. All my friends and associates (90%) have the hydro-static-slip-o-howl-matics systems & Break-downs & Failures are a CONSTANT Issue around 600 - 700 hours if not sooner. That "GO -GO" Pedal is not worth it to me, even though l have one hydro unit with 1700 "Miraculous Hours" ( a 1988 Massey-Ferguson 21hp 3 range 1020) , l just don't trust it & limp it along, bought it 3rd handed for 3500$ @1400hrs & have been "chancing it" for 3 years. The "Kubogy" MX5200 shuttle shift @ 4 1/2 years and 825hours has run well. With another Massey-Ferguson 1736m power shuttle in my fleet, all tractors are well rounded & rested. Thanks for the great vidio Sir and happy safe Tractoring.

      My Mx4800 now has 2300 hrs and the MX6000 has 600hrs. It’s all about production for me. The type of work I use these machines for I can easily out produce DT models. I load/unload as many as 4 times a day cutting 1-5 acre parcels in some tight areas. This is where HST units shine. Basically these are just big lawnmowers. If I was doing long pass runs I definitely would use a DT machine.

      @@KevinGreer The good thing is that the tractors sound like they are making you Money. Just remember, every drop of circulated hydraulic fluid goes through the hydrostatic filter, the charge pump, then 0.0005 clearanced swash-plate plungers as "grinding compound". A "Very fine quality only Genuine Kubota" is only up to the task for 200hrs. By-pass happens after filter life expired an "clogages" then drive performance diminishes then comes a worn out used up machine way before it's destined 5000hr mark (maybe). You being "Halfway there" have bested 90% of said units out there & didn't even "bat an eye " on the 1100$ hydraulic pump. Good ventures ahead & keep the fluid pumping!

    Hello, I just bought an MX5400 and am looking for a grapple. I am looking for a good dual clamp root rake style like you have. Can you tell me what you have and whether you like it or if you have a recommendation for something you think would be a better buy? I like the one you have here because it looks like you can roll it back enough that it rests on the grapple itself and you aren't having to rely totally on the power of the clamps to hold the log. Thanks!

      Roger, This is the link to the one I have. It is 650 pounds, great root grapple but you give up a lot of lifting power because of the weight. Make sure you have an adequate amount of ballast if you go with a heavy unit.

      Buy the grapple from Everything Attachment. Better material, lower weight allows you to lift more.

      Land pride makes a good one and very lightweight but still durable. Doesn't take away from the left capacity so much

    I understand that big downed tree might have been heavier than what it looks, but I agree you can rev your tractor more. Plus it helps with the Regen cycle. And yes, get a real chainsaw, the vegie-saw is more for cutting limbs and small saplings.

      Yes on the rpm’s, but the vegie-saw stays lol.

      I will be replacing the 80volt Kobalt with the Milwaukee M18 chain saw when this one wears out.

      @@KevinGreer good luck with that. Why not just get a real chainsaw? I tried the stihl cordless and made the mistake of buying the Ego 18" They both are nice buy no comparison against a decent gas powered one.

      I have had “real chainsaws” tired of poor performance and endless repairs. For no more than I use them battery power tools and saws work fine for me. Never going back to gas. I have changed over to all battery tools with the exception of my air tools in my shop.
