khm… “missing a single database index” is something sometimes even senior or lead engineers can miss. let alone more juniors. Besides the modern “i detach you from the DB completely” frameworks can even mask this issue further that i interviewed dozens of developers completely unaware of basic sql or database concepts or functionalies. “the ORM will sort it” so while a 100% agree that Devin is as fake as it gets… lets not pretend that we humans dont make mistakes… do i really have to bring up the moment when the gitlab engineer wiped production database along with hundreds of customers codebase and data… ? :) as for juniors easily fixing “a missing package” :) yeah sure “did you run npm install?” [2 minutes uninterrupted swearing] … “nope” … :)
