Welcome to Arsie’s Kitchen!
Growing up in the Philippines and later abroad, I loved the taste of many delicious authentic home cooked-recipes. It was no magical wonder my African American descendant husband who grew up in South Georgia and I, would commit our marital vowels for a lifetime: we both enjoy the aroma of the kitchen and sharing recipe traditions we truly love. My mother-in-law whom I wish I could have met before her death, was able to pass onto my wonderful husband a variety of delicious homemade recipes from the South. Mini Sweet Potato Pies - An Easy Homemade No Added Sugar Recipe Baked To Perfection In An AirFryer
Impress your family and friends for your next holiday or family gathering with this unique tasting creamy and silky smooth pie filling and delicious homemade buttery flaky pie crust.
You have to try these delightful bite-sized Sweet Potato Pie favorites that are very simple to prepare and are made with so much love! They are also a wonderful dessert that everyone will appreciate and is fun to prepare along side the kids. The filling that is made for these mini pies is very delicious and mirrors the traditional regular-sized Sweet Potato Pie versions in both flavor and texture but baked at nearly half the conventional oven baking time.
We made two mini bite-sized crust versions: 6 Mini (3-4 inch) Sweet Potato Pies (Non-stick tart pan); and 9 Mini (2-3 inch) Sweet Potato Pies (silicone muffin-cupcake holder). The silicone holder bakes well with our homemade 1/8-inch thick pie crust. However, when using silicone holders, it may require a little more baking time to get the crispness of the crust desired so watch them carefully. The silicone holders can be baked independently or in a muffin or cupcake pan. Most oven-safe bake ware including silicone and metal are okay to use, but see your AirFryer manual to be sure.
This sweet potato pie recipe will surely be your new holiday favorite go to dessert and will be a big hit for both family and friends. Enjoy!

Equipment: 6-Quart AirFryer; Food processor or blender; hand or stand mixer. You can also substitute the blender and mixer using a whisk or wooden spoon but a little extra arm-muscle effort may be needed.
Serving: Two 9-inch pie crusts yields 16-20 mini pies using any one of the two pie pan sizes described in the video.
Tips:
-When the pie is done, give it a nudge. The center of the pie should jiggle slightly in the center. If using an instant-read thermometer, make sure the internal reading is at 175 degrees F or you can use a knife inserted into the edge of the filling until it comes out moist but clean.
-You can tightly wrap and freeze the dough for up to 3 months - just thaw in the fridge for 24 hours before using.
-Make sure your dough is at the right temperature when you roll it out. If it starts to break, it’s probably too cold. Let it sit at room temperature a little longer and try again. If it’s sticky and hard to handle, it’s probably too warm. Refrigerate it again.
-Sweet potato pies like most custard pies aren’t ready to cut and serve right after baking. Allow your pie 24 hours to cool and rest before cutting into it.

If you all have never been to Jimmys hotdogs in ALBANY GA YOU SHOULD NOT BE COMMENTING!!!! These are not average hotdogs!!! They taste much better than any other hotdog. I always cook the hamburger and drain the grease. I can't stand it floating on top of chili. Doesn't taste good not healthy
Thank you for your feedback and yes the best time to skim ground beef is after browning it, when the fat has separated from the meat. You can skim the fat with a spoon which is the step we took in this video but you can also tilt the pan to drain it into a bowl or paper towels. Draining the grease from ground beef will make a dish healthier and is usually recommended. My husband would appreciate me saying that It is also important you do not discard the hot grease down a drain as it can cause damage to the drain. Keep in touch!
