    The fact that Americans care about where their blood lines come from is a massive issue in america. We have to stop looking at where are ancestors came from and start only seeing are self's as Americans

    Oddly (unlike for other channels) your small-talk is routinely engaging. Insert a visual panel to let the impatient see where you shift to the main topic, it’ll be fine.

    44:00 Read Thomas Sowell. Blacks had a LOWER rate of unmarried mothers in 1950 than Whites had. Fatherlessness has nothing to do with slavery. It's a product of modern liberalism, feminism and the welfare state. Exactly the same reasons for White and Hispanic fatherlessness.

The Sick Man of Europe - Ottoman Empire 1688-1914 5. The Roman Decline - 300-650 6. (this is more for althistory) Massive Viking settlement of North America - how would that look?

    33:00 "mexico is much dirtier" Brother i wish. Maybe the SEA cities are making an effort but trash pollution is terrible here. Not the level of india maybe but it still clogs up rivers. Until industrialization we used to wrap food in banana leaves or threaded rattan and we threw the packaging away because it would biodegrade. We still culturally havent moved on from this and jusg throw trash by the roadside. Theres no real trash organized management either unfortunately.

  • @penzorphallos3199

    I think one easy way to first approach SEA societies for an American would be to look at pre Colombian mesoamerica and add to it hindu-buddhism. The animist folk religions are pretty similar, the people are similar, pre modern architecture is the same and before the ice age melt it was a big united peninsula.

    My biggest takeaway as a Singaporean, is that in the Malay Archipelago, the culture of Academia is Arabic Muslims, Politics is English Christian, and business is Chinese Buddhists. Plus the part about us caring more about affairs than alcohol, true. Swapping our official languages from Bahasa and Filipino to just English, Chinese and Arabic would actually make sense in the age of the internet, and the sooner the better, as it would give the common man an extreme edge in a globalised world.

    19:30 Rudy fails to explain that 'money' is a good like any other, especially when it's in the form of precious metals. Not only could you hypothetically make a better deal trading industrial widgets or opium in exchange for silks and spices, but if you have to give them all of your precious metals you won't have enough for domestic transactions.

    My family is a mix of Spanish, Portuguese, and Basque, but most came from Mexico, so a lot native blood is mixed in and I was born and raised in dry desert heat so even though I never liked the heat my body much more easily conditioned to it like I learned I can sit in the heat of the sun for a long time and so long as I don't move and slowly rotate to warm a different part of my body allowing the other half to cool I don't sweat as much but humidity is my enemy I can barely breath when it's at its worst

    I want to know more about how the Thai society assimilates various ethnic groups inside Thailand so fast. Like before the centralisation of the Thai state there has been Central Thais (Siamese), Northern Thais, Lao people, Khmers, Malays and various. Now they’re essentially all Thai. My grand mother born in Thailand as a daughter of Chinese immigrant (100% Chinese). She’s essentially a Thai in every aspects of her life, that’s a pretty fast assimilation.

    Rudyard, I am begging you, read 'The Scythian Empire' by Christopher I. Beckwith. The Xiongnu were Scythians, the Persians under Cyrus the Great were creolized Scytho-Medes. the Scythians referred to themselves as Harya/Arya/Aria and the Silk Road was their Empire, or was at least based on being the military that protected it and collected taxes. No public historians are discussing this at all, but none of the academic reviews are debunking any of the claims that are being made.

    1:12:53 Again, as a Nigerian, I can agree with you on this. There's a reason why most Anglophone countries here in Africa have a better opinion and diplomacy with the British, despite the history of colonialism. Colonialism was long happening beofre the Europeans came to Africa but the British set themselves aside by having better pokicies and more net positive impacts compared to others like the French, Arabs, local African powers etc.

  • @orboakin8074
    @orboakin8074 วันที่ผ่านมา

    51:45 As a Nigerian, i can definitely confirm this😂 It happened after colonialism ended here, and in much of Africa (except few smart countries like Botswana where their leader, Seretse Khama embraced and maintained the systems and structures the British left and improved his country) many of the elites/rulers were Marxist leaners and due to existing animosity from colonialism, many of them abandoned capitalism or free market economics for socialism and it had disastrous results. Thankfully, more of us, especially those of us from coastal sub-Saharan Africa and Southern parts of west Africa, have tribes and cultures that value trade, entrepreneurship, education and a level of openess. This has enabled us to gradually industrialize, develop and embrace more capitalism.

    Oh my God he took on the final boss first. You need to first understand India civilization. Chinese civilization. Since it takes influence from both of those. And the Western world. And the trends that make up colonization.
