Hi, I only just came across your post, as I too recently got one of these saws, although the Ozzie 'Sherwood' version. Did you figure out the out feed table and storage/space predicament? Just watching at the end, I had an idea that you could make a bench/out feed surface, which the table saw could fit under, as in pushed out the way when not in use. My suggestion could entail, as I will be doing with mine, to make a 'bench top' to place on my saw, with MDF to protect the entire surface of the saw, as well as use it as a flat 'light' work surface. If you then make a table frame with no top, you could have a removable 'lower' bench top (for out feed), and using said top protector, as I am, this could also be a 'light' use worktop. All you would have to do to push the saw out of the way, is pull out the lower out feed piece, and there you go.

How is the katsu now, still working? Any play in any parts which ruins the accuracy?

Just discovering your channel. Bought the Hikoki for the same space reason. Do you have a video where you show your new workshop? I'm thinking of building a bench around the table saw like you did, but maybe have some sort of panel that would slide on top of the saw for when I'm not using it.

I bought this machine second hand and I’ve got to say, now I’ve watched your video, I’m really all set to use the machine. Mine didn’t make the click as I wound the thicknesser bed up though!? I’m yet to switch on so let’s see if I need to adjust anything or it lets me use it without having had the click! Great informative video. Thank you 👍

Thx for the video. It helped me decide to buy one. The Metabo KGS 216M would be a logical choice, but I have limited room and this ons is a little bit smaller. I like the way it can be put against a wall. It will arrive tomorrow.

what about making a template by notching a single piece of wood, rather than stacking of so many blocks? other than that bit of criticism, a very nice build. your brain seems to work a lot like mine. because of that, I may have one of the largest piles of scrap lumber in the entire state...

That is the perfect French Cleat shelf I have been looking for for my Jig saw. I have a corded saw but I believe it would work. Thank you Sir!

Sir, there is a lot I can relate to. You work very much like I do. I have a small garage I turned into a “Shop”. I have French cleats on the only open wall space I have left. I enjoy doing word work - at least my version of wood working. I am dealing with depression; have been my whole life. Oh, and my wife says I am too grumpy at times.

How do you manage the sawdust ? I have built the jig and started testing it. The very first concern is that every two fingers, there is some amount of sawdust squeezed below the sliding piece of wood which prevents to do precise cuts. Any suggestion will be more than welcome. I’ve only just seen this video although I’ve had my set for months. My personal taste or style is to sharpen fairly constantly throughout a process of using a chisel or plane. Because of the limitations of the guide itself, it’s not easy, and sometimes not possible, to sharpen both chisels and planes without faffing around. So, I bought 2 guides and keep one for chisels and one for planes. A luxury? I don’t think so. Compared to the cost of my chisels and planes, it’s a great investment.

Ok So i am no wood worker however if you turned the adjuster screw once and not three time you would take of less and planed to the centre of the wood you might not suffer from blower out wood … maybe… or am I wrong sir ? Also if you used a second peace of wood you might not have to fight to keep the router plane …

had been looking at thsi and was in two minds, but does look OK. Would take out the majority of the waste with a chisel and then set your router plane to the required finihsed depth and just use it to tidy up.

Thanks for the review. Are you still using this sander ? What i missed is the balance of the machine. Does it tilt to the left (drive side) when loosely holding it in the middle of the handles in the air ? And how is the front to back balance, rear heavy ?

I bought a cordless Katsu a year ago complete with base and inserts, etc cost over £120 used it a few times probably 6 or 7 before the motor just burnt out smoking etc, total JUNK..... had to buy a proper Makita this time corded and what a difference - it works ......

Looks very similar to my Rigid saw. The Bosch aluminium router table (RA1181), might bolt right on the end perfectly like mine.
