I really like this osw, my favourite so far. I think it's the landscape orientation, and the matchbook closure that's appealing to me. I'll be giving this one a go! Thanks Dave. X
Loving the OPW!!!! Still on Van Island…coming home next week with my sister in tow so not done any crafting as of late. But now with your ideas and skills have a ton of stuff to start when I get back. Thanks so much! And roll on end of January! Love from Edinburgh blah blah blah x
I love it. I’ll definitely be giving this one a go. Thank you.
I don't know how you continue to come up with new ideas for one sheet wonders. You are amazing! Thanks Dave, I can't wait to make one of these. Hugs from Texas, Ann
Hi Dave. Fabulous make. I think it will be my project for today. I believe I have strips of cardstock that are the right size for these. Tfs. Have a lovely day. Hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Gor-guss ❣️
Thank you so much 🤗😍😘
🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙
Octopus! 😍🥰
This might be one of my favorites! I just really like the matchbook closure and the overall structure. Heading over to get a 12 x 12 right now. Perfect for a journal pocket I need to fill. Thanks for sharing this great inspiration! Love and light ❤️🤗
Thank you, I love a matchbook closure too, I think they are an under used solution to keeping everything together. 🤗😍😘
Très beau folio. Quelle idée ingénieuse de recouvrir la ligne de pliage ! Merci pour ce partage.❤
Thank you very much, I’m glad you liked the tip on covering the fold line. 🤗😍😘
It really is a-door-able! It turned out just fabulous! You should very much be giddy 🤗 So much hard work you put into this house. And it shows! Love and light ❤️🤗
It’s a pleasure, I am loving how this is evolving before my very eyes. What a journey we are all on with this project 🤗😍😘
What a great idea for keeping it all organized. I do feel your pain when the measurements don't come out right. I had the same problem when I was making some boxes at Christmas, I had to make them about 5 times before I could get the lid to fit correctly on the box. Thanks for sharing the struggles that I think a lot of crafters have. I enjoy watching what you come up with every time. Have a wonderful day, keep up the good work.
I used to be really good at measuring but I think I need to have dedicated glasses for close up work, I just can’t see the fraction measurements. Or I guess I could invest in a digital measuring tool, although the they are quite expensive? However it’s a fact of life and so I just have to put up with it. I’d rather leave in my mistakes, I’m never ashamed of them, and I want others to feel confident about making mistakes too. So glad you enjoy the way I keep these challenges in and you are enjoying my videos generally too, thank you for your encouragement and support 🤗😘😍
Fantastic Dave!
Thank you so much 🤗😘😍
Hi Dave. What a great way to keep track of your makes and all the data you want to have.. Have a wonderful crafty day. Hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Aww thank you Jodi, I really love how this turned out 😘🤗😍

Aww thank you Jen, that's so nice of you, it's got me hooked that's for sure 🤗🥰😘
Hi Dave, The house is looking great, the chimney and door are perfect and make such a difference to the whole look. I'm loving watching it all come together and seeing you so happy was lovely. X

Hi Dave, It has been a joy to watch this video and see your reactions to your door! It is fun watching as you create and have big wins with your creativity on this project. Hugs from Texas, Ann
Hello Ann, thank you! I love creating like this with no set agenda, its so freeing and really makes me happy, great to know you are enjoying the process too🤗🥰😘
Your part 9 popped up for me today and l had missed all the rest! This is great - love how you started even though you weren't sure what you were doing. You've given me some famtastic inspiration here. I've had an idea in my head for over 40 years to make a cardboard house, but wasn't sure how to go about it. I used to make wooden houses about 45 years ago, but then kids came along and l just don't have the space now. I'll watch your next video now and get a few more ideas from you before l start. This is Davina from Bradford, snowed in with an empty cardboard box 🤩
Hey Davina, it that Bradford West Yorkshire, as in just up the road form me in Batley? or Bradford Pennsylvania? or indeed some other Bradford in the world? You should absolutely start making that house, as you say you already have the box and 40 years of pondering, and if I can help and if just watching me make the mistakes or learn as I go helps you then that filles me with joy. Please let me know how it goes? you can always email me at my channels email: dash_of_dave@gmx.com too. Have a fantastic time making it! Hugs 🤗🥰😘
@@DashofDave1 upt road from Batley 😂. I'll send you some pix when l get it started 🤩. Got a couple more of your videos to watch first.
Morning Dave. Wow this is turning out great. The door and chimney are perfection. Love them. Hugs🤗🤗🤗🤗
Shucks, thanks! I'm probably going to buy myself a paper trimmer with the money you sent, if that's okay with you? I just want one with Imperial and Metric measurements on. 🤗🥰😘
I’m glad you’re so happy Dave! It’s working out beautifully. 🏡
Thanks Chjristina, I am in my element creating this des' res' 🤗🥰😘
Hi Dave, Happy New Year from Scotland. Can I just start by saying thank you, thank you for thinking about us new crafters. I am so new, I haven’t actually made anything yet haha I have been thrifting and shopping but lack of knowledge and skills is holding me back. I am grateful that you mentioned us newbies and that we don’t know the terminology and that we need to ink everything, edges, cracks, in between, before and after etc haha I LOVE the carol music folder, it’s just wonderful. Thank you for sharing and please keep laughing at your own jokes and one liners, it really cheered me up 😂❤
Hello and thank you so much for these lovely and supportive words. I know what it is to be daunted to start something new in the crafty world, but all I can say is 'Do, just start, don't to have everything' I promise you, you can make some of the best things with the simplest of things. Even if you start buy gluing two bits of book page together to make a tag, or even gluing two pages together around 3 sides to make a pocket. How about doing some coffee or tea dying? something nice and simple, but once you have done one thing, learn from it, don't let comparison with other hold you back, it's not a competition. I absolutely know you will create things that you will think looks 'meh' but the rest of us think 'wow'! If I can help you, guide you, or just encourage you please do let me know, send me an email to my channel email: dash_of_dave@gmx.com and mention who you are and I will help you however I can. Just don't let lack of knowledge hold you back! Wishing you the very best for 2025 and may it be filled with inspiration to fly in your creative journey. 😘🤗🥰
@@DashofDave1 awwwwww thank you so much for your encouragement and offer of help. I have been crafting away the past few days and haven’t been able to stop haha I may just post a video and see what others think and what ideas they can offer. I’ve been coffee and tea dying. Painting pages, gluing pages, I have actually started an old book. I’ve ripped most of it out and glued pages together and made pocket pages. I have made little journals out of Amazon packaging and even put fabric on the outside spines 🤣🤣 my kitchen looks like a bomb has gone out but I haven’t felt as happy in years x
❤always love these one-page wonders.
Thank you, I'm so glad you are loving the series 🥰🤗😘

Sorry for your loss and grief at this time. Remember you are loved, and you will meet again. Your mom is with the angels and is watching over you, ♥️
Thank you, it's that first year of firsts without her, stress and work / channel commitments also mean my grieving time is limited, thank you for your understanding 🥰🤗😘
Love it, love it! 😍 I so enjoy all ofyour one sheet wonders. I know I’ve said that quite a few times but it’s true. Lots of hugs ❤️🤗
Thank you lovely, I am glad you are loving this series 🥰🤗😘

Fabulous! 🤩 Of course I absolutely adore it. I cannot wait to see more. I love how you are binding the folders. You can keep that gorgeous cover more years. I just got back from a few days in Vegas for my birthday. So much fun, but I am getting way too old for this. 😂 Luckily my BFF and I are not gamblers, so we didn’t even drop a penny in the penny machines. But oh the shows were amazing! Anyway, I don’t think I’m too far behind on your videos lots of hugs ❤️🤗
Happy belated Birthday! Hope you had a fun time, I'm with you, I'm not a gambler either - we are obviously too wise! 😘🤗🥰
This is just fab❤ heart explanation🤩
Thank you so much 🥰🤗😘
Amazing! I do love a one sheet wonder and you always make them so easy to follow your tutorial! Thank you ❤🤗
Oh that so nice to hear, thank you 🥰🤗😘
Wow this is great! I love 1 page wonders. Have a fantastic day ❤ hugs xoxo
Oh that wonderful to hear, so glad you are enjoying this series 🥰🤗😘
Hey Dave. Great piece you made today. I was wondering with all these pieces you’re making with Tim Holtz paper, is there a Tim journal coming up in the near future ? I would love to see it. Hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I love these one sheet wonders!!!!! Xx
Thank you so much 🥰🤗😘
❤What can I say Dave ? You are the eighth wonder of the world ❣️
Lol, thank you 🤣
Can't wait to see you decorate. You always do such great projects. Love the construction of this ❤
The 2nd and final part is coming on Monday, I hope you enjoy it 🥰🤗😘
This is really cool. I have seen some use hand lotion to make the paper really soft and crinkle it up then use the ink to make it look almost like leather. I think it's called momagami or something like that. This is similar, and I think it looks great. Such a good idea to keep yourself organized. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I also make something similar, although not with hand lotion, there are a couple of videos in my back catalogue, of me making faux leather, although I use water and glycerine, I do however find that it has particular uses and it also difficult to glue down, seems resistant to some glues 😘🤗🥰
This is a genius idea. The so much for sharing the process with us
Thank you, so glad you are enjoying it 🥰🤗😘
Wow this looks a fab make ….definitely right up your street. ❤
It is indeed isn't it? Thank you 🥰🤗😘
Hi Dave, a gnu is a wildebeest! Love the folder, looking forward to seeing it finished. The pattern on the front looks a bit like abstract winter trees! Xx
Well thank you, I'm so glad someone knew what a Gnu is! I just love the word too 🙂, I've just looked at the cover again and I can see what you mean, thank you 🥰🤗😘
Fabulous Dave, love the aged effect xx
Thank you so much 🥰🤗😘
