@@marierainwater1304 hello 👋 you can get surround sound with headphones if you want a quick and easy solution. Soundbars and TV speakers can simulate surround sound but it’s usually not great. It scales all the way up to getting an AV receiver which you then connect to multiple speakers in your room. The immersion is outstanding 😎

Hello, Valve checks the serial number and under what steam user name the Deck was signed up with. If you explain it to the support they should be able to work with that information. They probably want to make sure that the Deck wasn't a theft. Of course it would help if your seller could provide you with a screenshot of the sale. But try explaining it to the support. They have been very helpful and understanding in general. Good luck!

Try pushing the buttons for a few days and see if you can make it work. It’s usually residue from the plastic moulding. If the problem persists exchange it. The system itself is a lot of fun when everything works. At least once you have it working it doesn’t go back to not working.

Just got ours up and going and same thing with the left. After about 10 hard resets still nothing. I’ll try the buttons for a few days but then I’ll have to send them back.

@@deadstreet1675 Hey, that sucks that this problem is still a thing. It‘s a manufacturing problem and sometimes can be solved by just pressing all the buttons a lot. Of course this should not be a thing. If the problem persists you should exchange it. It is a beautiful system when it works and when you have a working one it stays ok, it’s not a returning problem at least.

@@tkhowie Hello, I am sorry you are having the same problem. I could fix mine by just consistently pressing the buttons. Most of the time it’s plastic residue from the button moulding. Terribly quality control. Keep at it though and if things fail exchange it. The system itself is a lot of fun once’s everything is working.

@ most videos that i watch the ssd they put in is 7mm thick. In the manual for the one i got it says its 6.8 mm thick. So i dont know ahha

Hello Andrew, I am sorry you are having issues. Since using the UMIK-1 I haven't had any more clipping issues and I've recalibrated my RZ50 in several different rooms now. Make sure you follow the volume guide using this website: mehlau.net/audio/dirac-live-2-mic-speaker-levels/

@@SamDansCouchI have it setup properly, I’ve used Dirac for years. There’s apparently an issue with Onkyo’s sub channel where it claims it’s clipping during calibration, but not in the beginning sound check. I had to set it 25-30dB lower than it should have been if I remember right. Another TH-camr had the same issue and posted about it saying to do the same that I did. It’s annoying and I hope they fix it. My JBL SDP-55 didn’t have this issue, and it has far more bass output it’s reading. I’m sure they’ll patch it in the next firmware update.

Hello knolez1546 👋 Thank you for your feedback. Great that you are enjoying the game on your M2 iPad Pro. Unfortunately the games need to be installed internally. With the big sizes of these games I'd love the option to install it on a USB-C device as well. Maybe in a future OS update. Apple already lets you record video on external devices with the newer iPhones. So technically it should be no problem once the option is in the OS.

Do you have any drops on fps or it is ok? I just ordered my M2 pro from ebay and waiting to play these games

Hello denvera1g1 👋 Unfortunately I have not been able to test this with any other headset. The adapter is pretty neat that it creates a virtual link port like that. I wish GPUs would have never left this function behind since it is so handy. Also adjustable lenses are really cool. Wearing glasses myself this is always a little annoying to have to wear glasses and a headset onto of it. In theory it should work. I have been running my VR2 without the adapter on an older virtual link GPU (2080ti) and that works flawlessly. I would think other headsets should behave the same.

Turns out most of the time the problem comes from manufacturing and little plastic pieces of the buttons trigger some of the buttons causing this weird behavior. Try messing with it of a couple of days, it worked for me. But if it is persisting you should get the system exchanged. Everyone earns a fully functional VR2 headset. It is a beautiful system after all.

Either try to work them in like I did in my video by pressing the buttons a lot every day for some time for a few days or contact where you bought your headset from to get a replacement. It is unfortunately a known problem but nobody is really reporting about it. Everyone earns a fully functional VR2 headset. It is a beautiful system after all.

Best choice would of course be the biggest model of each series you can get your hands on. On Nvidia's side it would be the 2080ti (or Titan RTX but that's still expensive).

@@SamDansCouch Thanks for the reply. I did have a look at that list and did some price checking, thinking prices should be low for older cards. They are still quite expensive, at least expensive enough to stick with the PSVR2 PC adapter.

@@pequodexpress Oh yes in the end the adapter is not a fortune and with a newer GPU you also get much better performance. It's just nice for people who still have an older GPU to be able to jump into VR without the need for an adapter. Also less cables with is always nice.

@@SamDansCouch For the record, I have been able to get the adapter to work in cinematic mode with an active (USB-powered) HDMI to DP1.2 adapter cable (which was advertised as DP1.4). This is with a non-gaming laptop with an Nvidia GeForce 920M chip.

That's what I try to do with the videos I am making , so your comment means a lot to me 🙂👍 To my knowledge there is no tempest 3D port on PC so Sonys own games like Spiderman won't get the conversion of tempest 3D > DOLBY ATMOS like it does on PS5. I also installed the license for Windows Dolby Atmos but its usefulness between different games is always mixed. Xbox titles on PC usually have good Dolby Atmos support though which is cool.

@@aresm4618 you can download and play PS4 games directly to the external drive. PS5 games can be stored on the external drive. When you want to play a PS5 game, you just copy it from your external drive back to your internal ssd.

I know right, games from PS1 or Gamecube don't care as much for scratches but PS3 can be very picky. I am much more careful after this experience myself as well 😅

I know, I am shocked to see this is still a problem. I had hoped that this was only an early adopter problem but the production issue seem to have never been resolved. Once they work they stay ok, I've been using mine since I worked them in, but of course they should always work right out of the box. Sorry you are having these issues too.

Hello! It does speed up things like in Killzone, where levels are loaded during gameplay, the stutters become less annoying. Same in GTA4. And installing big games or updates like GT6 go much smoother as well.

Hello Ryan! I used the Harman bass curve for the first year of owning the RZ50. With the newer Dirac Live versions and especially with Bass Control you don't need an extra bass curve any more. Bass Control brings back the cinematic bass that was a missing before without manual input. Now the automatic does a great job 😎

It’s not worth it. It’s not as pronounced as this video makes it out to be. It was mainly made for multiple sub use. Rz50 only has one sub out

I could solve mine after a week and the problem never came back. If you keep having this issue you can try a warranty swap for the whole system. Sucks to see so many new VR2 customers having these issues. I hope you can find a good solution and get a working VR2 set 👍

Same issue for me with Resident Evil 4/8. But it's not a "hack," it's an unreliable workaround. I contacted Sony and they offered an RMA. Dell offered an exchange but they are out of stock...fun times.

@@BrandonWestfall I hope you can get new controllers. If you can't get it working within the first couple of days you really need controllers and the "hack" itself is no permanent solution.

@@Haywir3Gaming Yes just me owning it for a week and turning it on a couple of times per day. It didn't take hours of mashing. Just playing some games for about half na hour. Sometimes it really is just plastic residue from manufacturing and once that is rubbed off it works.

My setup sounds more home theater than ever. If it should be too much bass you can play with the curve of course but I feel like the auto function just hit the right spot 😊

@@TimoRepo if you don’t have a mic that works with your laptop you can still use the supplied puck mic and plug it into the RZ50 instead while doing the filters on the laptop. Take it slow and the reward will be big 😎👍

The controllers really seem to have a production problem and you feel absolutely helpless when they don’t work. In my experience I could get it to work by pressing the buttons a million times. Other people have used contact spray and such. Of course that shouldn’t not be a thing for a new product. The only good news about this is that once you have it working it will stay ok. It’s usually little plastic bits that are left over during production that need to be rubbed off. I wish Sony would try harder making this product perfect.
