Whenihave done needlepoint in the past I have always done my slant in the opposite direction I’ve always done charted . I’ve never done cross stitch. I ready to give it a try. I’ve always done full coverage on a silk Penelope canvas. Have I always done it in the wrong direction. Please advise. Thank you

I'm curious if anyone else has had issues with the playback in the last several videos or if it's something on my end. Seems like somewhere halfway to 2/3 through the video it'll always freeze up until I go move the location on the scrollbar. Not a complaint, but curious if other people are having this issue and, since I know you do video editing professionally, maybe you have some idea on what this may be and how to fix??

great that you are going to play dungeon and dragons. Prob the most easiest way to play without a Dungeon Master is one of the table top board game versions. that way you can all play characters. they come with the board, minis and dice etc and they are a great way to start as you get all the stuffs. I have used and adapted the board game items in my table top games me as dungeon master - if you want to go full into the RPG table top the best way to go is buy the starter kit and all instructions are in there with premade characters to choose from. (cheaper route). So you have options. all the best and let us know what you choose.

I enjoyed hearing about your retreat and stitching, but man nothing beats hearing the kitty purrs! lol Having him sit there and look at you like that, I love it 😂I get such a kick when my cat does this too.

You may want to look into researching one-shot adventures, mini-adventures, or Pathfinder. There are a lot of premade adventures out there and will make it easy to intro the family into the play mechanics. This also takes the pressure off of you to become the GM/DM (Game Master / Dungeon Master) who often have to lead/narrate/build the world + control all the monsters. etc. etc. etc.

For D&D, I would suggest getting the D&D Beginner Set or Essentials kit. These make it easier to get started and include a starter adventure. You could also search for D&D one-shot adventures which are standalone and don't require a huge time investment. There are also alternatives to D&D that are more rules light, like Quest (by The Adventure Guild) and Mausritter. For a completely different option, you could look at more story driven boardgames like Lands of Galzyr. Good luck!

You are the first Flosstuber I have ever watched (I started watching I think back in May) and I got introduced to full coverage pieces because of your Deathly Hallows. I am only halfway through your video right now, but I also bought the Schitt’s Creek pattern because I liked what you are doing. I’ve never been to a retreat but it sounds like fun. Your videos are great. Keep them coming.

I love all ChrissaBug charts and it's really hard to choose. So far I've only bought (and started) one chart from ChrissaBug - Death, and it is lovely. I kind of want to finish it all in about a year but we'll see how possible that is. If I had to choose one from your patters though, I would probably go for either Freya or the last one with the couple.

I prefer to work from the bottom upwards. I planning to try full coverage soon, but I'm a bit intimidated, that everyone is doing it from the top down. It feels like I'll be doing it wrong 😅 Plus I actually started everything in the middle till now. And actually work with my project flipped to reach the bottom of the piece and then work my way up again. It's pretty much cross country 😂 Well, I'll find a way to make it work I guess

Deadly Hollows looks great! If all the black is boring, you could do a couple of strands of black every time you finish a strand of another color, just to mix it up a bit.

Oh my gosh, I do that too! You listen to a book or something while stitching a piece and then when you go to pick that piece up again, you remember exactly where you were in the book the last time you picked it up! Hahaha! Loved all the finishes! :D I have been so tempted to start EPP.....so tempting.

Hey! I have had the same issue with markup and finally found the answer on their fb group. If you hold down the markup pen (the one that you use to check off stitches) a screen comes up and the markup pen says erase. I’d bet there will be a ton of pink squares everywhere. These are the “stitches” that the app thinks you still have. If you erase them you’ll be back to the correct number! I have done this and it does make me feel good to see 100% but it happened to a piece I just finished and there were almost 4000 stitches I would have had to erase. I ignored them and called it done! 😅 Hope this works for you! Enjoyed the video as always - especially the puppy sighting 😀

Lovely stitching. You’re about the third or fourth flosstuber that has mentioned the throne of glass books. Maybe I should go look at them as I enjoy books that I can get my teeth in to and I also enjoy series as opposed to single books as I feel the character evolution is less rushed - I hate it though when I’ve gotten attached to a character and they’re killed off, especially when it does nothing to progress the story.
