- If you are a seasoned cross stitcher you may have heard about the 24 Hours of Cross Stitching. If you haven't, it's a weekend challenge in which you stitch for 24 hours over 3 days. I tried it out this weekend and I think the word I would use to describe the experience would be "a lot". Have you tried the 24 Hours of Cross Stitch? How did you do?

You did great! And it was so much fun posting progress in your discord. I didn't make the 24 hours this time, but I have high hopes for July! Thanks so much for spending the weekend with me.
Thank you! It was so much fun to see your progress though the weekend too! I'll be cheering you on in July!
Thanks for sharing your progress and experience!
Thank you for watching! It was quite the experience!
You did so well, especially as you had so much mumming to do as well!
Yeah I did have to mom-so-hard for a lot of the weekend! So I'm good with that!
The best way to ease the guilt is to get out of the house for the weekend if you're able. I am setting up a retreat in my local area at a hotel where we can stitch as much or little as we want for the July #24HOCS. I'm super excited for it!
That sounds great! I’m going to a retreat in November and I’m sure I’ll get in 24 hrs there!
So much fun!! Where is your local area? Details; if you're open to more attendees.
@@larrettamullen4023 my retreat in November is by Disneyland. It’s put on by The Cross Stitch Society! I’m not sure where @MarissaMcConnell is…
18 hours in three days is a lot! I would feel lucky to get that much stitching time in a month! Great job!
Thanks! I’m happy with 18! But I’d rather spread it out over more days! 😂
Hi! Just found you while looking for people who did #24hocs! I did 14 hours for my first time 😂 just subscribed so going to go back to your first flosstube. Cant wait to see what else you're working on.
Glad you found me! All the way to the start?! That's commitment! 😂 Hope you see something you like, it's been quite the cross stitching journey over here!
@x-stitchandchill girl...im in Colorado too! And I think you said you were from California....which I also am! And I use the weekend to catch up on flosstube so I'm sure it won't take that long.
@@she.bee.stitching I lived in CA till I was like 6, so I can't really say I'm "from" there. Haha! Where in CO are you?
This looks so fun! May I ask where you got the stand that you use to hold the cross-stitch? I would love to get something like that.
It’s the daylight stand, I got it from Amazon. But I just recently got a Lowery stand (like 2 days ago) but I’ve only used it a few times. I’ve had the daylight stand for a while and it’s been great! Much more affordable than the Lowery if you are trying to stick to a budget!
@@x-stitchandchill Thank you so much for responding! :)
@@dubitablymarie No Problem!
I was at Stitch North last weekend and think that I did get 24 hours in. Ballroom was open 8 a.m. to 11p.m. Did I stitch every minute? No. But I would be as close to completing 24 hours as I could be.
Oh yes! A stitch retreat would be a really good way to get that 24 hours in! Hope you had a great time at Stitch North!
I'm horrible at keeping track of my hours so instead I have a 2,400 stitch goal
That's a good idea! And that sounds like a reasonable goal for the 24 hours. Maybe I can do that next time!
