I enjoyed hearing about your retreat and stitching, but man nothing beats hearing the kitty purrs! lol Having him sit there and look at you like that, I love it 😂I get such a kick when my cat does this too.
He is definitely the star of the flosstube this week! He's always had a super loud purr, and then he was like right next to the mic. I guess I'll have to make a kitty ASMR for people to stitch to! 😂
I love hearing cats purr, my orange and white cat is a very loud purrer too. You are the first Flosstuber I have ever watched (I started watching I think back in May) and I got introduced to full coverage pieces because of your Deathly Hallows. I am only halfway through your video right now, but I also bought the Schitt’s Creek pattern because I liked what you are doing. I’ve never been to a retreat but it sounds like fun. Your videos are great. Keep them coming.
Thanks so much Tricia! Glad that I have enabled you into full coverage! haha! I need to pull Schitt's Creek out soon! I think in December I want to work on all my WIPs before the year is up! This was my first retreat and I would highly recommend! It was super fun!
Your old man Cat looks and sounds like my Maggie except she has more orange. Lol purring right into your microphone 😂 “Plans for 2025” *laughs* - that’s pretty much how it goes over here. Great to have met you, and I’m glad your Disney days were great, too😊
It was great to meet you in real life too! Yeah, I never really make plans or goals for stitching. I don't have a huge amount of WIPs, but I do want to finish some in the near future. But it's kind of fun to just enjoy it as a hobby and work on what I feel like that day!
Oh yes, best background ambiance ever 😂😂😂 I am just the spare human for my cat (he is in LOVE with my husband) so if he purrs on me like yours then I know something is up. 😂Lol I enjoy your videos! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching! I'm typically the spare human for this cat too. The orange one only loves me. He had everything he needed so I guess he just wanted attention!
You may want to look into researching one-shot adventures, mini-adventures, or Pathfinder. There are a lot of premade adventures out there and will make it easy to intro the family into the play mechanics. This also takes the pressure off of you to become the GM/DM (Game Master / Dungeon Master) who often have to lead/narrate/build the world + control all the monsters. etc. etc. etc.
Thank you! I'll look into those, I knew there were some pre-made adventures, which was an attractive way to start! And with only 3 of us I wondered how the DM would work?
Hey Kelsea, not dine with video yet, but so far, great as usual 😊 I always meant to ask you but keep forgetting once the video is done ... what microphone do you use. I really like the sound quality in your videos and would like to look into those lapel mics, or what they are called...no expert whatsoever 😅 thank you for your videos! Love your projects
Thanks for watching! I use the Tascam DR-10. You can find them on amazon. I use them in my professional work so I figured why not use them here. I've had them for several years and they are small, easy to use, and have been pretty solid!
great that you are going to play dungeon and dragons. Prob the most easiest way to play without a Dungeon Master is one of the table top board game versions. that way you can all play characters. they come with the board, minis and dice etc and they are a great way to start as you get all the stuffs. I have used and adapted the board game items in my table top games me as dungeon master - if you want to go full into the RPG table top the best way to go is buy the starter kit and all instructions are in there with premade characters to choose from. (cheaper route). So you have options. all the best and let us know what you choose.
Thanks for the advice! A board game might be good to start, especially since there are only 3 of us. Will that help learn some of the rules/abilities/game flow too?
@@x-stitchandchill yes it will make the game flow well. look up "waterdeep dungeon of the mad mag board game" and "tomb of annihilation board game" both by wiz kids - game play or unboxing in youtube. Then other games will come up in your feed. just to see what im on about. there used to be a few videos on them
I'm curious if anyone else has had issues with the playback in the last several videos or if it's something on my end. Seems like somewhere halfway to 2/3 through the video it'll always freeze up until I go move the location on the scrollbar. Not a complaint, but curious if other people are having this issue and, since I know you do video editing professionally, maybe you have some idea on what this may be and how to fix??
@@28abw82 thanks for bringing this to my attention! I’ve been having some issues lately with this problem! Not just for my flosstube either! I’ll have to keep a better eye on it in the future, so I can correct it before uploading.
I love Chrissabug's patterns! ❤
Such a fun update! Can't go wrong with stitching, Disney AND cat purrs ❤
Right?! We've got all the things!
It was wonderful to meet you at the retreat. I love seeing all the cool stuff that you are working on. Disneyland was amazing.
It was so nice to meet you! See I knew I was missing tags! Glad you had a great time too, hopefully I'll see you next year!
The retreat sounds like so much fun! Love your haul.
It was a blast! So many generous stitchers out there!

I was awesome meeting you and your mom at the retreat! I’m so glad we sat at the same table! Hopefully we’ll be at the same retreat again soon!
It was so nice sitting and chatting with you too! Maybe Temecula... :D
