My condolences Jim ❤️
Thanks mate
My condolences. Cheers for the update.
Thank you mate!
Condolences man. Loosing a life partner is tough. Keep busy.
Cheers mate!
thank you mate
My vote is for a lever you can rest your thumb on. But I understand that may be precarious for various jurisdictions. Maybe sell it as an aftermarket.
Cheers mate, you are bang on, if we have multiple versions, you will be able to choose and also buy them aftermarket.
I was gonna ask a question but....well....I hope you have some good friends standing bye.
Take care mate.
Really like that retro, standard stock. Reminds me of the SLR. British army. (Great gun!)
Thanks mate!
Condolences Jim from all on the fb appreciation page, your in our thoughts mate .
Love all your work so far . Cheers Ronan
Thank you Ronan!
Sorry for your loss, and thanks for your perseverance and the update.
While I imagine you already have your testers lined up, I am keen to support your project.
I am a qualified armourer with my own private range, located South of Townsville, and would be interested in helping with testing if needed.
I like the idea of having options for the lever profile that are user swappable, based on task requirements.
thanks good to know i'll put you in my contacts
Sorry to hear ❤ glad you have a project to keep you busy
Thanks mate! I agree, I think being busy helps keep the mind of the sadness. Jim is getting better every day but it will take a long time. He is hanging in there and the Eureka is certainly helping.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies ❤️
My condolences. love the work you guys are doing , looking forward to see the finish product
Thanks mate!
Sorry about your missus. Thanks for the update, can’t wait to see the end product. Interesting about the firing pin alignment issue. So many little things involved in producing a working firearm product.
yes indeed. This particular issue came from having different versions of parts and then over time it shifted. When we reviewed all the alignments, we found that it wasn't aligned anymore after all the changes were made. Always got to go back and test and check again. I am sure we will find a couple more before production....it never ends :)
So sorry to hear Jim, thanks for the update
Thanks mate
Condolences Jim, a life well lived no doubt.
Thanks mate
My condolences to you 🙏
Thank you mate!
Condolences mate....
Longer leaver you can rest your thumb on please!
Or maybe supply both?
Thanks again for the amazing rifle and updates building it around your customer base i ordered on day 1 video!
Is there going to an alloy/raw non coated version i think it would have popularity 👍
Looking forward to ordering the 308 version as well.
Thanks again Brod
Thanks Brod! Yes if we offer different levers (tbd) we will let you choose which one you want and make them available for after market purchase. The lever that Jim showed in this video can be used LH or RH, the other one that Rick showed, can only be used on either side, which is due to the design. The non-coated version would look sick :)
Hear hear on the 308 version!
@@nunyabeeswax2575 Yes 308 will come too, already starting to design it now that the boys are 99% done with the .223
@@AustralianSportingAgencies I say "Hell Yeah!", my wallet says "Why do you treat me this way? "
Condolences Jim. Like to hear more about how approvals from the various firearms registries is going including expected timeframes for approvals. From NSW. P.S will the steak knives be NSW compliant. Hope they don't have black handles.😂
We are in talks with NSW and QLD on this matter, when I have something concrete I will let you know. At this moment we are awaiting the first final lower receiver as the registries want photos of the completed gun, however we won't have those until next week. Stay tuned
haha thanks Greg
Condolences to you on your loss. Will you guys do a .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor chambering for the Stockade?
Regards,
Liam
Hey mate, yes we will be doing a 308 and are already starting to design it. The 6.5 is still open for debate. I would love to see one, lets get the 308 to market and then we will do a survey to see what's next.
@AustralianSportingAgencies yeah the 6.5 would pair extremely well with my Lithgow LA102
My deepest condolences Jim.
Thank you
Sorry to hear about your loss.
Keep the units in Tassie, I'll just have the steak knives please lol. Like the idea of resting thumb on lever and I agree with other people be good to see the lever release transferable for use by both LH & RH users. I only wish for 20 rd mags being available - IPSC rifle. Maybe a third-party company take up the possibility, sorry those states who can't have them.
Thank you mate. Much appreciated! We are still looking into the possibility of making those magazines, it however comes down to the cost of the molds. If we can get those down and the unit numbers up, we can do it. It is likely my next project.
thanks for thinking of Lorraine
Condolences Jim. If we had a choice between the two different lever lengths, in Qld , that would be nice , and it would be nice to be able to buy the other if we end up being uncertain about the existing one. .. thank you.
Thanks mate. Yes if we offer different levers (tbd) we will let you choose which one you want and make them available for after market purchase. The lever that Jim showed in this video can be used LH or RH, the other one that Rick showed, can only be used on either side, which is due to the design.

Condolences Jim.
My wish list.
Lever release transferable to RHS for LH’rs
LRBHO for easy fast mag changes and return to battery in confined spaces.
The mag release transferable to the other side would be great but I don’t think it can be done with Pmags as the mags are proprietary set up with the indent on the left side only.
You’ll have to mail the steak knives to me at the Tassie units, they won’t let me carry them through airport security……
You are bang on with the mag release. Can't be done in the current design. If we release several levers, some will be swap-able. But all will be purchasable aftermarket if need be.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies Are we getting a LRBHO?
thanks mate
@@rvrski1 as of right now the mag will hold open the bolt. But you would need to pull the charging handle back to bring it back into battery before taking out the mag otherwise the action would close. I suggest counting your rounds if you are doing it in a competition scenario.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies I think that’s a missed opportunity, for all facets of usage. A couple of comments, to my knowledge Pmags aren’t designed to have the bolt group stop on mag polymer follower under spring pressure. With the bolt group resting on the follower I’m surmising from my Taipan that the mag won’t drop without the pressure released through pulling back the charging handle or physically pulling the mag down sending the bolt into battery.
Given most people will be using the legal 10 round mags when engaged with a mob fast and effortless mag changes would be a great benefit.
As always, appreciate the reply.

Wishing you all the best. RIP 🙏
thank you very much
so sorry for your loss mate .very sad. I hope you're doing okay . the rifle looks and sounds amazing I cant wait to get it.. but your health comes first . take time to grieve
Thanks mate
thank you for your thoughts it was very hard for her brain cancer is Fu#cken nasty
@@jimcohen1956 thats horrible mate .. bless her. she is at peace now no more pain . just make sure your okay as well . keep busy she would be proud of you for what you have done and are doing . just know all of us are here for you mate . big family
Some more info about the final customisation and order process would be great
Hi mate, yes it is coming, I have almost all the costs together and are starting to program the website. In short, you will be able to customise the gun via our website or your local dealer. How and when will be announced in the next 3 weeks. Cheers
Hello guys .... maybe removalable spacers to adjust length of pull ???
Unfortunately not if you live in Tas or NSW. The rest of Australia will enjoy adjustable length of pull options.
Great video! Super excited for the final reveal and some vids of it in action. Perhaps in a mock ipsc stage setup?
For me i would love to see an adjustable stock, even a folding stock would be a nice touch for thoes long hunting treks. Also when pressing the mag release im hoping the mag will fall out for speed. Pullling the mag out costs time. I would also love a lever release that i can rest my thumb on for speed, just a straight up and down technique. Being able to mount a holographic at 45 degrees on a 45 degree pic rail built into the exisiting pic rail would be exceptional. Specially for ipsc rifle where you want a scope and a close range dot. Finally to top it all off, caliber conversion kit to 9mm would make this the creme de la creme of multipurpose rifles. Making it suitable for pistol ranges where caliber restrictions are in place. I love the effort and attention to detail you all have put into this. Well done. Also different colour ceracote options? I would love❤it in desert colours.
We are hoping to take it to the IPSC nationals, but no promises have been made yet.
Yes, it is totally available with collapsible and adjustable stocks, similar to the Chimera from CelikArms.au.
I am unsure if the magazine falls out. There is a fine line between no movement of the magazine to increase pickup reliability and enough room for the magazine to fall out. I will test it when I have the final receiver. I am sure you can flick it out.
We will offer a thumb rest lever, I believe. However, let me tell you from experience that the flip-down lever in the video is much quicker to use! Promise.
You can just add a 45-degree offset adapter to your main Picatinny rail. Given the billet aluminum we use, there is no room to put an offset into the receiver without making the billet larger, which would make everything much more expensive. It is much cheaper to get an adapter. I will try to offer them as an add-on.
The 9mm will be based on a blowback mechanism. My understanding at this point is that this is not compatible with the gas-operated receiver. But I will know more about that in the next month or so.
Thank you.
Yes, FDE will be available. Actually, the first few will be in FDE because black is scary.
a thumb resting lever would be the best, that way theres no need to reach the thumb forward to chamber another round and it causes far less disruption to the shooting position. one of my biggest gripes with a lot of the earlier lever releases was that the levers were placed in the most inconvenient spots and it defeated the purpose of having a lever release in the first place. the Savage A22r had its lever as a small post in front of the trigger guard that needed to be pulled with the force of a thousand tigers just to chamber the next round.
I have one of those, worst gun I ever bought. Will probably just destroy it! I hear what you are saying, we will have different versions, but from experience the flip down lever is the best but it is hard to explain the benefits without actually showing footage. I will do a video specifically on it as it seems to be a big debate.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies awesome, i do understand that if your thumb rested on it it could cause issues if the mechanism is pulled during the ejection process, my A22r would sometimes jam if i pulled the release lever too soon.
@@novusrex2639 I can't tell you out of the top of my head what happens when you hold the lever down and the trigger, need to check.
I’m liking the new look. Can we get a 1913 rail stock adapter please🙏
Great idea. We will likely design one and make it aftermarket. Cheers for the feedback!
My condolences, that is genuinely very sad to hear.
Thank you very much! It has been and continues to be a tough time for Jim and his family, so thank you for your thoughts.
thanks mate for your thoughts
Reckon the debate around what type of lever could be solved by having some aftermarket options available or by making it a choice when ordering through the site
That's what I am working on, you are bang on. It is great to see people giving feedback tho, helps us heaps
My condolences. As points to add though, can you check if you can put pressure in the mag and it still feed fine please?
I am planning on taking this rifle to Finland for Finnish brutality next year and i would like it to be the best it can be.
Thanks again
thanks mate i have pushed up hard on the mags to make sure they don't contact the bolt or bolt carrier the mags do have the ledge under the mag catch and we have very little vertical movement
OP seriously re Finnish Brutality? Very cool man, are you going to film your stages for YT or something? 🤟🤟
@jimcohen1956 Thanks for your work Jim.
@nunyabeeswax2575 Yeah bro, I have a ticket for next year reserved. I may get my daughter to film it if I bring her.
The goal is to do all 3 brutality matches in the next couple years.
My condolences Jim . Do you see much work would be involved in making one into a 300 aac blackout? I would order a second one today if it was possible!
thanks Brad I suggest you keep watching this space
Can u make a left handed version
Keep watching the other updates, all questions answered :)
th-cam.com/video/fHIqkEZAeiE/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgwYUHQcTvVzSzULKct4AaABAg
Gonna be nsw legal?
Likely, but we won't know until we have registered the first one which should happen in the next 4 weeks.
So sorry to hear Jim, I only met her a few times down at the qppc and she is a nice lady.
On a side note, is there any provision to make the lever left hand friendly?
Yes there will be left handed levers for sure!
and thank you for your comments.
Sorry for your loss mate. Will the original angle cut fore-end still be an option? I’ll be honest it was growing on me
Thanks mate, maybe a bit later, I hope to make a few different forends in the near future. It was my idea and I liked it....apparently the majority didn't :(
Any left hand models
Yes you will be able to swap the lever and safety around. However there will not be a true left hand extraction version. Better than nothing hey :)?
Condilences mate, keep soldiering on.
Will the gun work with standard metal ar15 mags or will it only work with pmags?
We expect them to work with both: th-cam.com/video/fHIqkEZAeiE/w-d-xo.html
So sorry to hear the news Jim. Are you guys sending the test guns to other armorers/dealers for testing or would any of us average Joes be able to get do some testing with them?
We hoping to get to a few ranges and give people a go with them. Stay tuned, first I need my 5 units, then they will make the rounds.
Would there be different barrel lengths to choose from?
Yes two different length 20 and 16inch. check out eurekaguns.au
when did he pass?
Hi Sam, it was Jim's wife that passed. She passed last month.
hi Samuel it was Lorraine my wife of 48 years 17/4/2024 of Glioblastoma (brain tumor)
Don’t make it look like a crappie ar make it look like a fal with the side charging handle on the front left forehand
Thanks mate, it would complicate the design of the receiver, would add additional parts that can break and would require a redesign of the forend. Overall it would make the gun a few hundred bucks more expensive, so we opted for the side charging handle.
My 2 cents... to help facilitate NSW approval, don't put black foregrips and stocks on them. You know how they feel about scary black mAcHiNe gUnS. Maybe light green or tan furniture? Lots of people do their own cam paint jobs these days anyway.
You are spot on, FDE it is for the first few firearms we are making for testing. Fingers crossed
Just a respectful request from primary producers... can we see a medium weight barrel version that's 20 inches please? We don't do range or comp shooting and need a compromise in the velocity of the 223 cartridge to make it more humane and effective because it really isn't an ideal round for everyday PP use. If a 308 is ever available, a 20" version for the same reason. However I understand that we will be a small market, although mainly for the above reasons. In the future this will be a great selling point as firearm use potentially becomes more restricted for urban users.
They said the fluting in the match barrel takes out so much material that the barrel isn't overly heavy. Personally I'm tossing up the idea of getting a custom barrel for it but I'd have to get my hands on the rifle to feel the overall weight and the balance (as well as the accuracy) to see if that's a path worth considering.
FWIW I'm thinking about an 18" medium tapered fluted stainless barrel. Should make it nice and handy while retaining most of the ballistic performance of the 20".
@@Hiraeth91537 we're not worried about the weight. We're interested in the velocity gains particularly when using the heavy 223 bullets, which make the cartridge more suitable for more occasions. Everything straight-pull so far has been 16" that we ever see locally (happy to be proved wrong), I can only assume people are looking for AR15 looking firearms. A few 100fps makes a huge difference to the killing power of the diminutive 223 in variable primary production use.
@@gw5436 Oh, I misunderstood what you meant. From what they've said the stockade will have the option of a 20 inch heavy profile fluted barrel
@Hiraeth91537 that'd be awesome. Now if only a 308...
@@gw5436I hear you. Hoping this results in a 308 Win too!
