    The cheap wedge performed admirably. With the current outrageous cost of clubs something has to be available for the casual golfer. Do you want to see courses closing like in North America? You Brits get hosed on golf costs all round. I guess since you gave up your guns all that hobby money can go to the links. Personally I can't stand Ping clubs they sound terrible and really don't look as good as the other big 5s. Huge bias in your video on this one. 😢

    Well wedge manufacturers would like you to change your wedges every 50 rounds or so. Unfortunately with the big OEMs charging around 200 gbp per wedge you are looking at 600 quid probably twice a year for a regular golfer. Unless you get your gear for free or have deep pockets most people will have to put up with wedges that are well worn. I have an sm4,5 and 6 in my bag and they will have to do unless i decide to go for a cheapo wedge.

    Shafts have a big influence on distance and spin, it would need the same newish shaft in each head to be conclusive, also forged irons can move loft over a couple of years, and may need a bit of a tweak to bring it back to its stamped loft. Still, a good test with interesting numbers.

      Probably see a local pro. But I have a drill I like thats puts a small bit of dirt or stone on the hole/pin side of the ball and then the focus is hitting that away (the ball goes as a by product instead of being the focus). I recently found a device called a Strike Wedge (see my spin video), that could potentially help in this case as well.

    Concept of this is good. A fitted wedge should be better. Even that 1 degree flat can be a good difference. I play SM9s and switch every other season. SM4 may be used two years but it is many years old by design. Not a bad thing just isn't their newest (SM10). Cheaper wedges have reduced bounce and degree limits. They do tend to go higher for me when I've tried them. Key is whatever you have practice often and use the ball you tend to play with.

  • @ChinSleepCorner
    @ChinSleepCorner 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

    That cheap G-1 is way too underrated. I bought it 4-5 months ago and went several rounds of 18. It performs very well in rainy season (Thailand). The clip doesn't talk much about the build. It is a conforming grooves with milled face. The design looks alike old BV sm wedge. There are no options in terms of bounce and grind, they are given to the specific loft, which imo is like f grind from Vokey Design. I have 60°/8 and just decide to order another 56°/12 to replace my stock iron's 55°sw (RBZ Speedlite) Only con for me is the shaft which doesn't feel responsive to the strike especially in full shot compared to those better shaft like ns pro, dg s200 , but, guys, it's only under $50 😂.

    I think you should have also included swing speed in your stats just to give an indication if any of the variance was from that.
