IIRC the 4k disks work a lot like video streaming, where the video itself comes in a lot of small segments, not even as long as between keyframes. Some setups when you fast-forward you skip from one segment to another. This allows a sort of contents file to simply list the video and audio segments it needs from the disk sometimes even to cut or add scenes. I did not know that about the Japanese credits sequence. What's so unique about it?
