- I thought I make this video to answer a number of questions on how to change the temperature on the Samsung Fridge. The one I have in particular with the French door model that was purchased in 2019.
In order to change any of the temperatures or reset the water filter, you'll need to unlock the panel first. The panel is designed to be child-proof so the kid wouldn't be able to change the temperature and spoil the food in the fridge.
In this video, I'll show how easy it is to unlock the panel and change the temperature of the main fridge area, 2nd drawer, and freezer as well.

Hi mate my Samsung refrigerator is working but the freezer keeps on changing temperature I set it to -25 but it changes to 5 I have watched numerous videos but still nothing struggling to troubleshoot aswell
The displayed temp is the current temperature. If you changed temp, it will take time to reach that temp so it will show the current temp only. th-cam.com/video/W0wnOjE19Ac/w-d-xo.html

Samsung manuals are USELESS. They make one generic one for ALL models - they are so lazy! They don't even make one tutorial video for each model. They make one tutorial video for ALL models. @samsung

The manual was not real clear but your TH-cam made it easy to understand and I was able to make the adjustment in 30 seconds. THANKS! I just purchased my refrigerator so this helped us with the final set up.
Wow, that took all of 30 seconds to figure it out thanks to you! I went through the app thing because it kept showing up when I held the fridge button so I thought that was the only way to do it. I couldn’t get the fridge to sync and was very frustrated because I couldn’t lower the freezer temp. Thank you for posting!

I am a new owner of a Bespoke fridge but the manual didn't tell us to unlock the panel first in order to set the temperature. I kept pressing the Flex Zone button for 10 secs and more and I couldn't get it to change temp. I thought my unit was malfunctioning and was about to call customer support for a service call until I found your video. Thank you for the informative video, I would never have figured out how to get the panel to work.
Thank you for posting the instructions. The manual doesn't specify to unlock before changing the temperature. I hit the Fridge button repeatedly per manual instructions and all I got was the "AP" indicator.

The manual noted this as well: A few seconds after setting the temperature, the displayed temperature will return to the current interior temperature. It can take up to 4 hours for the display to change to the temperature you have set and up to 28 hours for the refrigerator to actually achieve that temperature, if the doors are not opened.
Omg the temp set up change the freezer no more 3 degrees celcius and the fridge no more 19 degrees celcius what happen to my refrigerator digital is there any idea?
The manual needs to start with “hold down the alarm button to unlock the settings!”

I'm not sure the setup you have there. Once the water dispenser inside the fridge is used up it will take 15-20 minutes to get cold water given it will need to get water from the exterior source.

We have tried many ways on trying to get the Samsung ice maker work but still in vein, we have turn off the main power switch even there is no ice residual and restarted by pressing the small button located at the ice box area with temperature at 0 degree but still can't produce the ice, we have also replace a new filter. The cold water will dispatch well but still no ice. Could you kindly advice on any other possibly issue that we have over look. Appreciated.
@@djokotandiono7599 Can you look if you can see if there are ice in the ice tray inside the compartment? If no ice there, time to look for parts or call an appliance repair.

Thank you. This vídeo helped.me to resolver an importante issue, to change from F to C. ManuL say to press 3 seconds cool select zone but the key for first time Users is to Unlock the panel first.

Glad to see that it takes a while for change to occur. Main reason I did this is my icemaker is making only crushed while set on "Cube". I read that freezer may be too cold. Mine was on -4 F..I set to "O" as it noted this could cause crushed only.. we'll see. If this doesnt work then what? Great video

Did you setup the freezer temp?
@@netman88 yes; we set it to 0 and it went to 0 but it's blinking at 0 and not sure why; the fridge is set to 37 but isn't blinking at all just the freezer

Good temperature depends on your climate in the area. The temperature in my fridge works well for us

Try to raise the temp higher than 34 f. Is 37 f the next level?

Hello there, thank you so much for making this video, it really helped me and my family out a lot. One thing though; I did what you said to do in the video, and the temperature did change back eventually and fix itself, however, now on the either side of my refrigerator it seems to get rather warm, id even say that Its hot in some areas. What does this mean? My refrigerator never had this heating up on the side issue before this point, and was wondering if this was something I should worry about? Thank you.

If your fridge isn't cooling the food inside, it's a problem. Not sure about heating up one side really matters if it's cool inside the fridge.

You can set temperature and close the door, the settings save or lock the door panel.

Does anyone know what temperature to make your freezer so it won't freeze your ice cream like cement? Mine is set at "0" right now. My old fridge just said "Colder" or "Warmer" LOL.

Not sure if it's the same model that I have. I think you would like to make it "warmer". It's probably too cold so the ice cream are frozen.
I have a deep freezer in my garage. Can I change the freezer temperature just like the refrigerator? So I can create more space for the holidays food.

Yes, encountered that once when no ice cubes came out.
yeah, and if you dont catch it in time it might get so bad you have to defrost the whole thing for a couple days just to get the ice tray out.
I have same model...6 months. I hear a lot of popping from back. Freezing up? 6/7 inches from wall in cubby. Howz yours holding up? Thx for simple quick lesson.

Since day one our RF27T5241SR model has NOT been 34F inside; in fact it's more like 44F based on using a digital thermometer placed in various places internally and using a laser thermometer to check inside food and panel temps.
My old Samsung works perfect. I set it to 34F to keep food colder so it doesn't spoil too quickly AND the thermometer reads exactly 34F in many locations internally.
This newer RF27T5241SR model is about 2 weeks out of warranty (June 9, 2023) and now I'm thinking I should have made a service call many months ago. 😣
I've used the service menu on the old Samsung (now in the garage) and was hoping this model could be changed so that the fridge sets colder!??

If I just installed my samsung refrigerator and did what you said on the temperature but for instance from 70 on the temp lowered to 40 and it changed the indicator back to 70 is that normal or how do i do it to stay in the temp I chose
It probably will take 12 hours to reach the new temperature. The temperature is the current temperature. The new temperature is what you setup.

I have the digital I have the Samsung freezer I have the additional one up on the top what number do I put it on how many little stars do I put it at because it's either too cold or it's not cold enough I'm all mixed up I don't know how to do it
My specific model I just received yesterday RF28T5001 Samsung similar this one I lowered the freezer temperature to -8° and its blinking.? My question is why & also is that a good temp for the freezer? Tyia
-8 deg appears quite low. I set mines to 0 deg F. Blink probably means it's the new targeted temperature.
How do you make it save the new temp. Mine goes right back to wrong temp
