  • Im preparing to install the Rally Raid level 1 suspension kit. I dont have a good fork vice so i left the forks on the bike for disassembly.
This would also work for the K tech fork spring replacement.
Tools required, small pick, 30mm wrench or socket, 10mm wrench and socket, 14mm hex/allen, 14mm wrench a wooden or metal bar or box tube with a 7/16 hole in the middle and 2 ratchet straps.

You make it look very easy. Struggling with mine

I struggled for 5 min and then built the jig to hold pressure on the rod. Then i pressed down on the large washer with a screwdriver and kept trying to get the pick under the circlip. It did not feel like i was winning. And then it just popped. I finally got the pick under it. Keep at it. You'll get it.

Thank you. My fork is already out and on a bench, using a sash clamp to apply the pressure. I'll try again tonight. Thanks for your reply 😊

Rally raid also has an excellent video showing the circlip removal. Adam has much stronger arms then me and just presses down on the rod.

Skip to the 19 minute mark. Thats where he starts working on the right leg with the spring in it.

Awesome!! Congratulations!! On with the suspension overhaul.
My bushings were badly worn. Im going to have to do mine again this winter and put new Ktech bushings in. They are much slicker and more slippery then the stock honda ones
