I remember being 10 years old seeing this with friends at the usual pizza and a movie bday parties we all did in the 90s. Such fun cheese back then and still enjoyable today. Ryu and Ken should have been more jacked is probably my only real complaint for a fighting game turned movie
Raul Julia was fighting cancer when he filmed this. He gave one of his greatest performances of his career hands down for the sake of his children, who were great fans of the game.
"Street Fighter" was one of Raul Julia's greatest film performances of his career besides " The Addams Family". Him playing General M. Bison was one if his biggest film roles of all time. He won a Saturn award for his roles as Gomez Addams and General M. Bison.
I would give Street Fighter a 10 out of 10 because this film was based off real life events between AN military an anti- terrorist fighting organization vs. Shadowlaw a fictional terrorist conglomerate organization that is like Adolf Hitlers " Nazi Third Reich" Empire and The Roman Empire in the near future. M. Bison a powerful world leader seeks to establish himself as a powerful dictator madman bent on conquering the world using Carlos Blanka as his first test subject. Colonel Guile of the AN goes after his archenemy General M. Bison to stop him and fight against him to free the 63 kidnapped hostages and confront M. Bison fight him to save the world from General M. Bison raising up a system of total global dominance where M. Bison has legions of perfect soldiers at his command.
Apparently Jean Claude was on cocaine constantly while filming this movie. Thet had to delay and reshoot. Jean Claude did admit he was on coke for pretty much the entire movie.
They originally planned on putting CGI moves in the film, but their time schedule on that ran out because the film crew was debating whether or not the super powers would make their "realistic" version of Street Fighter look cheesy or not.
Nah. Kurt Russell as Guile Robert Z'Dar as M. Bison Brandon Lee as Ken Masters Dean Cain as Ryu Billy Blanks as Dee Jay Gabriel Garko as Vega CGI for Blanka, Zangief, Dhalsim, T. Hawk, Sagat, Akuma (face only) and Chun Li (waist down).
Fun Fact: In the script of Street Fighter: The Ultimate Battle (1994), Vega was originally KILLED OFF when Ryu kicked his claws off and it landed on the ground standing up vertically. Ryu then Tatsumaki'd Vega ontop of his claws and was fatally slaughtered by his own weapon while lying down on a puddle of his own blood, like the spike-pit from Mortal Kombat. The film had to rework its way from an R-rating to a PG-13.
3:37 "You Still Refuse To Accept My Godhood? Keep Your Own God! In Fact, This Might Be A Good Time To Pray To Him! For I Beheld Satan As He Fell From Heaven.....LIKE LIGHTNING!!!"
Ryu and Ken were poorly miscast. The guy that played Ryu looks more like Liu Kang and the guy who played Ken looks nothing like them. Also they look too small. And that awful fireball and lazy shoryuken are cringe. Raul Julia's Bison stole the show.
Ironically I don't think the HADO or Psycho-pwr was introduced until the ALPHA SERIES and Anime stuff (aft this movie came out) Previous games didn't necessarily refer to the nature of their pwrs beyond generic "fireball" etc
This street fighter film was a big flopped in the united state but European countries loved it very much for everyone who loves the video game And middle east aducues as well
Salamara. Eventhough, Street Fighter The Movie flopped in the box office in american theaters it wasa commercial success here in america. It did exceptionally well overseas internationally and worldwide. There was a sequel to " Street Fighter" planned in 2003 but it was cancelled. There was a Capcom / Udon " Street Fighter" comic- book series that released 20 years ago.
Raul Julia made this movie watchable. R.I.P. to a legend.

Agreed
Mad respect for this man
Legend.
He played the hell outta Bison…

Bison: to u the day bison graced your land was the most important day of your life but for me it was Tuesday 😂. Still quote that to this day
That’s one of my favorite movie quotes
This movie is a guilty pleasure. I was happy to see jay tavare(vega) in metal gear solid 5 the phantom pain.... also love quoting m bisons lines.
The combination of classic action flick janky fight choreo and weirdly cut scenes makes this a final fight of all time

Bison : For I beheld Satan as he fell FROM HEAVEN! LIKE LIGHTNING!
Sagat being played by the bad Indian Pawnee guy from “last of the Mohicans” is peak 90s casting strat 😊
No, in that movie he played an Huron, rival tribe of the Mohicans
He should have been T Hawk, makes more sense casting wise.
"You come here prepared to fight a madman?...and instead you found a GOD?"
I forgot that Miklo played Ken in this movie. Vatos Locos 4 Eva.
🤣
A toda Madre o un Desmadre
2:11 BEAUTIFUL.
Too bad the Rolling Crystal Flash whiffed
2:29 2:31 Ryu being like,you first
someone should do a skit of vdam doing the same roundhouse kick in all his movies to end the main boss lol

This is the best movie ever made in the history of movies. True story
2:08 Hadoken
2:48 Shoryuken
Well, this movie made Guile and M. Bison rivaly stronger in the games.
2:08 Hadouken??
I always thought the same. And some sort of Hurricane Kick at 2:57
2:48
Lame ass Shoryuken
@thatguy7161 He did the light version of the Shoryuken as a weak punish counter lol
@@sultaa86Light Tatsu in KO
@@genmuzero808ify 🤣🤣 that was the laziest shoryuken ever!
Imagine a dragon punch at ground level, a tornado kick with only one spin and a fireball without a fireball.
There's a phrase for that:
"Buying Street Fighter II on Wish"
When miklo went to karate 😂
Great movie with JCVanDam is a great actor
Great?...they sidelined the main characters lol
He is not… He doesn’t even act and fight like Guile.
Casting aside he made Guile iconic enough to also be the lead of the US cartoon.
Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
Pretty solid movie I would give it a
(7 out of 10)

9/10
10/10
I like how in the actual live action video game they included Akuma played by Ernie Reyes Sr.
Sr, not Jr.
@@ThatNoizyChild ah okay thank you for the correction.
He and his son should’ve play Gou and Dan Hibiki instead.
They weren't around yet.
This movie in general is hella slept on
Ryu:Vega!!!
Vega:Where were we?
Ryu:(after the kick)
YOU WERE LOSING
So cheesy and nostalgic
Movie still holds up 😂😂
nice
Apparently Jean Claude was on cocaine constantly while filming this movie. Thet had to delay and reshoot. Jean Claude did admit he was on coke for pretty much the entire movie.
And had an affair with Kylie Minouge. Legendary experience for him
That's what happens when he kicks it with "Micklo" (from blood in n blood out) 😂
They redid mortal kombat, why can't they redue street fighter!
They actually managed to reproduce the game moves in real life without too over board with the wires.
They originally planned on putting CGI moves in the film, but their time schedule on that ran out because the film crew was debating whether or not the super powers would make their "realistic" version of Street Fighter look cheesy or not.
Street Fighter: I'm the worst video game adaptation ever
Borderlands: Hold my beer
Gerald C. Rivers:"Like Cal Dodd says..."
"Daddy's home!"😈
Great movie
street fighter and final fight in one sentence
The fight scenes are like slow motion
I couldnt laugh less after watching Zangief n Honda wrestle each other... with funny Godzilla noises
you should try to laugh more if that is the case 😂
The perfect casting : guile dolph lungren.
Bison Arnold.
Jcvd ken
Robin shou ryu
Sagat bas rutten
Nah.
Kurt Russell as Guile
Robert Z'Dar as M. Bison

I wish they remade this movie.
There is upcoming street fighter movie
The only good way to remake this film is through a next-gen video game,
like how The Godfather has one.
I had to watch this clip cause the thumbnail looked like M. Bison was played by Jerry Seinfeld.
I think they strayed a lil from the source material.
This movie was the epitome of garbage. As a kid I wanted to see this soooo bad. But finally seeing it as a teen I wanted to rip my eyes out 😂
Sagat wanted some chon chon
Bruh
3:25 Vivan los Vatos Locos!
Hey Sagat, you're gonna fight conmigo Homs!! La onda a toda madre o un desmadre!!
Assisti esse filme no cinema guarani imperial praça da alfândega porto alegre Rio Grande do Sul amém
obstructed hadouken 2:08
Come on miklo! La raza
Ami siempre me ha gustado desde niño cuando la vi por primera ves en canal 5 a pesar de las críticas
This movie just needed Akuma and it would have been perfect.
With Bolo Yeung playing the role.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Note 10
Where is Gouki Akuma?
The filmmakers should've been added him,
Bolo Yeung would be great as Akuma.
1994.
Guaca-rate, vatos locos 4 ever
Vatos locos forever!!!!!!!!!!!
R.i.p to to rod julia
I remember watching this... for me, it was a Tuesday

that's not Ryu, but RaYu 😂😂😂
Shouldn’t it be Ken vs Vega and Ryu vs Saggat?
This movie destroyed live action games ….
Super Mario Bros and Double Dragon did it before this film.
Veeey gaaaah
2:08 wtf was that?
Vega, Zangief, Chung Li were done right the rest of characters look cos play
What about Cammy?
Filme mais bisonho feito
I'm pretty sure seeing a rough cut of this movie is what killed Raul Julia
So Bison doesn’t have his Psycho Power in this movie?
Ironically I don't think the HADO or Psycho-pwr was introduced until the ALPHA SERIES and Anime stuff (aft this movie came out)
Previous games didn't necessarily refer to the nature of their pwrs beyond generic "fireball" etc
Ryu Vs. Code Talker
Guile wins, FATALITY!
Find a God . wow
This is not Street Fighter movie but this is Suck Fighter movie.

Everyone Stop it! This was not a great movie. Childhood nostalgia, and that is it. As a fan of the game ....so many cringe scenes.😂

ゲームは歴史に残る名作。映画は同じく迷作。
The movie of mortal kombat is better
This is seriously the most awful fight choreography and cutting in any movie ever.
Nada a ver com a história original do desenho esse filme, quem deveria derrotar o bison era o Ryu e não o gaio, colocaram o gaio como o protagonista
波動拳攻撃力低すぎだろ
Fuckin miklo done did it
A terrible movie that I could still watch. 😋
gay, nobody fights like that
Jakie Chan did it better.
Kkkkkkkk
I was born in 80s. Still i find this movie crap !!!
Pior filme esse.
Lixo de filme
Pior filme que ja fizeram
Pior adaptação de um vídeo game
Nope.
It is terrible.
Trash
pure garbage 🗑️
The sorriest excuse for a Shoryuken in history!
Not as sorry as my casting choice.
