@@foofootoo I've build a team with (yes, also shiny) Sandy Shocks with Rain Dance on Murkrow. I don't like using Peliper. Quaquaval as my 2nd rain boosted attacker. Tera Water, Mystic Water to sweep with Aqua Step. Brick Break and Ice Spinner as situational tech moves.
When I saw sandyshocks for the first time walking around the great crater it was like looking at some esoteric modern art piece that I didn't understand. Now, after your video I understand it's beauty 💋

One thing I love about Sandy shocks hat is that it looks like the little fuzzy tail on the back is coming out of the hat! I was thinking about low acuracy moves when the greninja raid was out because people were using gravity to ignore evasion! Seeing this used on a team is so awesome!! :D

I have been running Sandy shocks with blunder policy zap canon. Because either way you get a good outcome. I use rain with thunder (to make it 100% acurate) I find it cool and I think its a cool gimick because you don't see Sandyuu shocks, blunder policy or thunder and zap cannon. Alot of people don't even know what it is.
So happy to see you featuring my boy Legneton and making him put in so much work! I've been loving using him in draft but this strategy definitely makes me want to try him in doubles!
Also think about -focus sash iron valiant with hypnosis, taunt, dazzling gleam, and protect -maushold but now you dont need wide lens for population bomb so you can do band or life orb -sing users like scream tail or skeledirge -double rock slide flinch strats knowing that they wont miss Ive been running this team for a while on showdown and the biggest threats are garganacl / gholdengo because they cant go to sleep
Oh a Gravity team. I remember wanting to suggest that on the last video but just kinda forgot to do it. Glad you still picked up what I never put down 👍👍 One thing I've wanted to do was use the 50 base accuracy moves with Gravity as well. I don't know why Inferno only has 50 accuracy when it just has 100 BP but it might be a good way to spread burns, especially on an Assault Vest Pokemon. Gravity+Inferno is about 83% accurate while Will-o-wisp on it's own is 85% so it's not too inconsistent. Zap Cannon has the same 50 accuracy but at least comes with 120 base power and guaranteed paralysis. And also Dynamic Punch but honestly you're probably just better using Focus Punch or Focus Blast.
Yeah the 50% accurate moves are really tough to justify even in gravity because they don't become 100%. I think they should be more powerful than they are considering how unreliable they are
You should’ve added maushold to this team since gravity would always let population bomb get ten hits in with out an item to assist it allowing your maushold to run a more unique item. Could be great.
I used this team and I remade some parts of it. I noticed that iron valiant is a really strong partner to sandy shooks and espathra since it’s naturally fast and has hypnosis. If you lead espathra and sandy shooks get gravity up and sandy shooks faints you can now send in valiant and then put both opponents to sleep in a single turn. With blunder policy or agility you could even boost your speed with it!
i was running this with squawkabilly to counteract the hustle acc drop, squawk hits so hard with tera flying brave bird with hustle it's unreal (roll to ohko torkoal if you're life orb jolly), also i ran like covert cloak on espathra and tera ghost sandy so that fake out never stop it :DDD
I also used Hustle tera-Flying Brave Bird Squawkabilly in Gravity, but I gave it Choice Band to really maximize the damage output 😀. I just basically created a Huge Power Squawkabilly that can only use one move 😂.
@@glaudragonlord1896 yea i was honestly considering choice band myself, but it rarely makes a difference and being able to protect is nice. Banded does guarantee the ohko on torkoal instead of a 62% roll though
I like that you didn't actually use Tera for the second match, even though Tera-Ground Corviknight would have given it a better chance at resisting it's opponent's attacks.
Yeah it's not always optimal. If I did go for tera, Corviknight loses its immunity to poison moves and becomes weak to grass, so the iron moth could have gone for a grass move into it
I got my own shiny sandy shocks yesterday. Quickest shiny of my life, only one sandwich and it wasn't a sparkling sandwich. Probably used up all my good luck for the rest of my life lol. Nice to see shocks being appreciated here.
Yeah I found mine in one sandwich too! As long as you know where to look, the paradox pokemon seem ok to hunt! But this one is definitely one of the best looking
It's barely used at all in scarlet/violet VGC which is the format I'm playing, and I said the pairing was overlooked not the strategy. The fact that Espathra has Lumina Crash, and Sandy Shocks is not a particularly common paradox pick justifies the title imo
I always thought there should've been an ability that automatically set up gravity (for 3 turns) whenever the user came onto the field. Now I see that could be kinda O.P., & I want it even more now. 😂
i never noticed that the tera light effect also makes the sun move so it's not in view???? you can see at 8:18 that as hydreigon is sent out, the sun sets at a super fast speed behind it. It's funny. Zoooommmmmm
Thanks for all these new ideas for battle. So much strategy is involved and it’s a little tough finding time to stitch together a cohesive team bcos I live at work 😂. I would normally just try to win with my favorites but everything has gotten a lot more competitive (I battle with my friends but the family battles are blistering) so it’s good to see alternatives I can surprise people with.
I love this team because it's literally what a good balanced team looks like they work great together but all have their own ace up their sleeve so they can handle the battle without their counterpart
I tried something like this using gravity Sshocks to make maushold and Iron Bundle hit reliably without a wide lens or anything (you can even run blizzard on Iron Bundle). I ran Zap Cannon over Thunder to give it combined damage and speed control but it’s still around 85ish accuracy even after gravity
In the first battle they reveal their Tera on Hydreigon just to protect, instead of not using tera that turn and make the next turn more risky for Foo. There is literally no reason at all to do it in this order, and Foo says it’s a sign he’s “playing someone who knows what they are doing”
A couple weeks ago I learned gravity increases move accuracy. I never ever would have guessed it does that... I've been playing Pokemon for like 10 years and I don't see how we're supposed to know it does that.

I have never used pkhex in scarlet/violet even for shinies, my shinies are legit hunted for videos (my corviknight was actually my first shiny found in my playthrough at area zero). I don't even know how to use pkhex for these games. That's why I only upload once a week, it takes a while to get teams together lol

The use of Gravity here makes me wonder something: If moves like Gravity, Hone Claws, Defog, Sweet Scent, and Telekinesis exist, and are decently common, why is there an evasion clause?
The justification is that relying on luck makes for frustrating game for both ends based on how I understand it Unsportsmanlike and all that Then again, I haven't heard of paraflinch being on the ban radar
Genuinely just wish the paradox pokemon had hidden abilities, just so you dont have item clause or rely on weather and could open up so many more strategies

You could also use flapple on this team, hustle plus grav apple boost is really strong

covert cloak also helps vs like non booster energy iron bundle that likes to spam icy wind

Haven't watched yet but im fairly certain that Gravity + Inaccurate Sleep was banned from smogon doubles last gen so not exactly overlooked

The protect showed they knew their win condition was tailwind, but yeah the tera was not necessary if they were protecting.

You missed zap canon on sandy shocks with 120pw 100%of paralyse stab eletric. In gravity it has like 90%acc i think
