A loss of a child must be one of the hardest thing a person can experience... My condolences. Mama bride looked stunning. Such a strong woman
My friend buried a 16 year old then my sisters son died of leukemia at 14. So sad for her.
The loss of a child or baby is unbearable. I lost 3 babies and it was the worst pain I ever had. I'll be praying that Jesus will comfort her and hold her close to him.
I rather die than go to my children funeral.
Even later in life… my mum died at age 65 and the grief it caused her parents was immense.

Lori and Monte made this bride's wedding. The loss of a child is heart wrenching, but She knows her child is watching smiling down on his parents wedding day.
Watching down from where? Heaven? If so why don't the parents honour God and marry first? Funny how people readily believe in Heaven when they suffer grief. God is real and should be honoured by getting married before having children.

My eight year old son passed away this past summer while on vacation. I believe he suffered a brain hemorrhage and choked in route to the hospital. He was the most amazing kid in the world. I miss him every single day. So.. to honor him his father and I decided to get married on his birthday. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ian flooded the hotel and our wedding had to be canceled but we decided that the date was more important then the location so we got married in our living room. 10/03 hopefully we can have a redo with family and friends. ❤
So sorry for the loss of his love on Earth but his Spirit will sustain you. You did a loving gesture to be married on his birthday. Blessings.

I lost my dad on the 2nd December and am crying as I write this, for you, for me, for Anna, for all mothers who have lost their children. I had 2 stillborn babies, and my daughter will be 26 next month, and I will never get to see her in her wedding dress. My son Liam was 24 in April and I am blessed by my one living son, who is 32 and the love of my life. My love to you on the loss of your dad, I still cry nearly every day, being a daddy’s girl from when I was a toddler. I miss him so much.❤️

I was in tears watching this. Everyone who made this possible for this grieving mother ... I mean this was one of the most touching moments I've seen on any of the bridal shows out together, hands down ... and I've watched plenty of 'em, let me tell you. 😁
My heart goes out to all the parents who lose a child ... it's unnatural and heartbreaking and how nice you were able to out a smile on her face ... and make her feel it's okay to happy. Lake is in a better place and maybe he was so special to God that He wanted him now.

To see her family support her this way and honor their beautiful boy was amazing. 🥰 It really gives me hope to see people still care about others. These are my favorite Say Yes moments to watch. There is true joy for these women in the midst of pain and suffering and that is more magical than any typical bridal moment. What a special lady and family. The love they have for eachother is so palpable.
Monte’s voice was subdued and partially choked as he said, “You look beautiful!” Such a somber occasion being made special by Lori’s and Monte’s loving generosity has to be one of the reasons SYTTD remains a great show…

I had 3 miscarriages and that was difficult enough. I cannot fathom how difficult and how painful it would be to lose a child that you have watched grow and develop into their own little person. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers..

Love Monte and Lori, and always look forward to watching their show. They've shown us before what big, caring hearts they have, and this is just one more special example of that. Many prayers and happy wishes for this bride and her family.
You can see how hard her family & loved ones are fighting to help her move forward. It must be so hard, because how do you get over the unfairness of a little boy who only gets 9 years, when so many of us get 70 or 80. I love that they're continuing to include Lake, to continue to love him & feel his presence. So sad, but so moving to see how a loving family copes with loss. This family is very generous to share their story with us.
What a beautiful and touching feeling I have at this moment.. I cried a lot and was affected by her for the loss of her son as if I knew him.. That look in the eyes of the father meant everything.. Aaaaah, it is hard to part with loved ones, especially children... Rest in peace, my little one. My love .

Loved this episode. Instead of some self-involved, whiny bride or rude, bitchy "entourage," this was heart-warming. Losing a child is devastating, but I sense that her brave, fun-loving son would have wanted her to go on with life & be happy. Praise to Monty & Lori for showing her a step on the way back to happiness, & for their generosity.
As a bereaved mother I really understand the mix of emotions for this bride and her family. I learned that joy and sorrow can sit side by side in our heart. Life can never be the same after losing a child. We have to carry on to honor their memory. That is what they would want because that is how love works.
