4 years ago in summer 2018 i had this super weird summer, no holiday, haven't been at the sea or the lake, not many evenings with friends, mostly just me alone in my apartment, had 3 weeks off from work and i did nothing but playing video games, watching anime, eating ice cream and doozing off to lofi on my couch, especially this playlist. Its odd but this was one of, if not the best summer of my life. There was no stress, no responsibilities, no work, just me chilling and doing what was fun, even though i was already 27 at that time lol. But i dont know, i just oddly loved this summer. Everything was so just so...calm. Today i went for a stroll with my 8 months old son and was listening to youtube music and suddenly this mix came on. I also love my life now, but i also really started to miss this beautifully boring summer. :D weird
I recently found this genre of music. We live in such a turbulent world. It's hard to slow down sometimes and relax. These playlists taught me to relax a little and let the world happen.
This mix has continued to help me get through the last 6 years honestly. No matter how many other mixes I've found through the years this is one I have always returned to in hard times when I've been stressed and need to calm down.
The opening tracks, and synical- sorrow throw me back to beaches in the late 90's-early 2000s. When times were more innocent. Those years of childhood bliss, with no Iphones, no pressure, no social networks. Real friends. real expriances. Unlike the dystopia we are living in today.
i remember listening to this so much in the summer when i was just 13 with not a single problem in the world, 20 now and this still sounds like a breath of fresh air

Same here watched the 1999 version and 2011 version and have to say that the 1999 version is much better, the darker more mature atmoshpere really fit the series. I can't imagine how the chimera ant ark looked if they sticked with the 1999s style.
