Crazy to think that this playlist is almost 5 years old. I've listened to this through relationships, good times and bad, countless flights and train rides, i can honestly cry due to the sheer amount of memories and emotions that come just from the first few seconds of this. Thank you to the artists and the person who put this together.

Please tell me I'm not alone in this thought. Ever since I started listening to synthwave, chillwave, dreamwave.. I feel a strange, but welcoming sense of calm. It's hard to explain. My coworkers, friends and family have said I seem more calm and relaxed. I'm not quick to anger anymore. I'm also having a hard time relating to people lately unless we talk about life, the universe, evolving... I have so much more to write and describe but I just can't put it into words. All I know is my anxiety and depression has lifted and I'm very inspired lately too. Anyone else feel like this?

To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1 liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate 💦 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time 🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone, 🎧 • a tea or coffee. One night, studying during my undergraduate many moons ago (2017-18) and feeling like a huge loser, this playlist came on and pulled me out of my funk. I'm in recovery and at that time I had only acquired about a year or so and I wasn't really working much, just going to school to work in social work and recovery services, to give back to the community that saved my life. I heard this playlist and it gave me so much hope, I'm not sure why this wonderful little thing and community gave me so much inspiration. I went on to graduate school to get my MSW, loser, worthless alcoholic me, finished grad school, I know, who would've thought. I am now listening to this as a Social Worker, working in an intensive outpatient mental health therapy program helping others get their life back, or a better, healthier life, and this pops up again. I am so grateful for these little moments we often overlook, and I get to cherish the old me and celebrate the new me.

I often put this playlist on first thing in the morning when I get to my office. The first song is the best introduction, a very ethereal feeling. W.A.V.E is a song that fills me with so much nostalgia from the past yet curiosity for the future at the same time.
This playlist was the one that got me into it as well, when I listened to home I was searching for more music like this. Came back to find this playlist, I forgot what it was called. I listened to this a lot before I graduated from school at the time, the time really does fly.
This video is old enough now that it makes me nostalgic for the first time I watched it three years ago. It was my introduction to synthwave. At the time I was an aspiring basshead and was looking to mine new genres for diamonds of bass. Luckily Slow was the first track on this video because I was so taken with it's bass and it's lofi dreamy vibe, it set me to exploring synthwave in search of more bass. What I found instead was the most awesome rabbit hole of music to fall into.

This type of music brings me back to the summers of my youth (from 2002-2015) when the summers in my hometown were just the right temperature, the ice cream at the local ice cream place was made perfectly, the pizza was just the right amount of greasy, and the days I spent playing video games were amazing. I wish I could relive those days again, I miss those innocent days before all the chaos from the reality we live in today. Anyone else miss those days?

I listen to this when I'm traveling in a plane and it is hella awesome. One time I was flying to Brisbane for a day trip and the coastline was so calm and the moonlight lit up everything. You could see every island every town and it was beauty at its best. The best part was how the moons reflection would turn the beaches and rivers into a white snake moving gracefully by the plane. Hard to describe it as I am not very good with words but it was beautiful and by far my favorite memory. Thank you for this awesome music
Revisiting this mix again. I used to listen to it a lot in high school and bonded over it with a class mate. Him and I got along well for a short while and after covid we became distant. I’m not sure why. I tried reaching out but he never responded. Today I just found out he died. So listening to this again reminds me of him but also feels like our farewell.

One night, studying during my undergraduate many moons ago (2017-18) and feeling like a huge loser, this playlist came on and pulled me out of my funk. I'm in recovery and at that time I had only acquired about a year or so and I wasn't really working much, just going to school to work in social work and recovery services, to give back to the community that saved my life. I heard this playlist and it gave me so much hope, I'm not sure why this wonderful little thing and community gave me so much inspiration. I went on to graduate school to get my MSW, loser, worthless alcoholic me, finished grad school, I know, who would've thought. I am now listening to this as a Social Worker, working in an intensive outpatient mental health therapy program helping others get their life back, or a better, healthier life, and this pops up again. I am so grateful for these little moments we often overlook, and I get to cherish the old me and celebrate the new me.

This playlist was the one that got me into it as well, when I listened to home I was searching for more music like this. Came back to find this playlist, I forgot what it was called. I listened to this a lot before I graduated from school at the time, the time really does fly.
This video is old enough now that it makes me nostalgic for the first time I watched it three years ago. It was my introduction to synthwave. At the time I was an aspiring basshead and was looking to mine new genres for diamonds of bass. Luckily Slow was the first track on this video because I was so taken with it's bass and it's lofi dreamy vibe, it set me to exploring synthwave in search of more bass. What I found instead was the most awesome rabbit hole of music to fall into.

I listen to this when I'm traveling in a plane and it is hella awesome.
One time I was flying to Brisbane for a day trip and the coastline was so calm and the moonlight lit up everything. You could see every island every town and it was beauty at its best. The best part was how the moons reflection would turn the beaches and rivers into a white snake moving gracefully by the plane. Hard to describe it as I am not very good with words but it was beautiful and by far my favorite memory.

Revisiting this mix again. I used to listen to it a lot in high school and bonded over it with a class mate. Him and I got along well for a short while and after covid we became distant. I’m not sure why. I tried reaching out but he never responded.
Today I just found out he died. So listening to this again reminds me of him but also feels like our farewell.
