Go BIG or go home!!! Please, please don’t forget to show regular updates; watching what happens to all the planter’s cohabitants this summer is going to be so much fun! Thank you, Erin! 😊
Erin, I love you and your gardening techniques in addition to your relaxed personality! You don’t appear to take yourself so seriously, but show a great deal of gardening knowledge and confidence ❤❤❤
I watch your videos for this very reason. You come up with the most creative and unusual plant combinations in your containers. This one is going to be a another stunner!
GO, Fiona! If she’s Fiona then #1 needs to be Shrek. Maybe you haven’t seen the movie? Either way, I’m rooting for them both to be glorious. Your container game has gone to the next level lately. I’ve always loved them and modeled some of mine after yours but this one is spectacular. Can’t wait to see the progress updates.
Your container planting this year has inspired me to do some non traditional planting in mine. I am interested to see the progress of the banana and all its companions. The original banana was so interesting to watch thrive 🎉
Ha! Love that you mix it up in containers (and the garden truth be told). If you’re calling 2.0 Chiquita, I think 1.0 needs a name too. I nominate “Hannah”.
Those colors are stunning Erin, and I don't know where you find all those amazing plants with such different textures but we sure don't have them around here. Chiquita is going to be one big, flat-out gorgeous woman by Fall. Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE this combination of plants!! Will be exciting to see how it all grows over the summer. Should be a bright spot in your Sunday strolls through the garden. 😊♥️
I love the dark purple-burgundy colors with the lime greens and peachy-corals❣️ 😘. I found a pot with two Abyssinian bananas in it last year and called them Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth. They grew in the same pot last year and this year they are separated in the ground. 🙃
Absolutely gorgeous. Even while you were explaining what you were going to plant my brain was going hum not sure about this one. But MY WORD ... STUNNING .. LOVE IT🎉
You have taught me to have fun with containers. Can’t wait to see it fill in around beautiful Chiquita. I planted a sunshine ligustrum two years ago in northeast Ohio and it’s doing great.
Alright, mine wintered over good. I have an old cast-iron cauldron in my yard I planted it in. Looking forward to seeing Chiquita #1 & 2. Happy planting.
Thanks for mixing it up and giving us new ideas for our planters. I don't doubt there is and/or will be a run on banana trees at the local nurseries and big box stores because of your videos! 😊
Someone in the city of Menomonee Falls must have seen your banana plant as I saw 3 banana plants in the median strip on Appleton Ave. When I saw the plants, I immediately thought of you.
I found your 1st video on winterize the banana plant. I found this second video I pray that it worked. I have my 2yr old banana tree in the grown NJ for first time. My problem at my mom's house is space. We place all the plants in the basement lol is truly a jungle.
You may have outdone yourself this year! Love it and love all your "experimentation" with your pots this year. Going to be so fun to watch them "grow up"!!!
Love the bromeliads. They are stunning grouped together. Love how you got the colors nailed with all the plants. And I love your choice of music. It's fun, which is what gardening is all about.
Summer is officially here when Erin brings out the bananas! Loving all the colour in that planter. So fun. I am stealing your “recipe” to brighten up some of my planters - I need something that will show up in our Nova Scotia fogbank. 😂
Yay!!! Banana time! What a gorgeous planter you put together, and if Chiquita is anything like the other one, she ain't gonna be little, that's for sure. So fun! Thanks for sharing with us!
Absolutely here for the banana plant love the Chiquita. I’ll have to find a name for my banana plant and then of course we need updates as well as we need the video on when you bring banana one out.
I can’t wait to see this one grow together! It looks beautiful already! I have totally been into the “sunset/sunrise” colored plants the last 2 years! I am crossing my fingers for you and that banana today though! This wind is brutal! I found one of my favorite plants snapped off. And an oriole nest fell out of its tree. 😢
Hi! I'm in Oklahoma, zone 7. I also grow red mohogamy hibiscus. I take cuttings of mine before the first frost. They root easily in water and the cuttings bloom indoors for me!
I use Sunshine Lugustrum in my southern garden as an accent plant. I have them in a very sunny border about 15 ft apart in with mostly dark green bushes and roses and dahalias.
Lolz i have a dwarf that will make bananas ... and a normal one that lives in the house... the house one literally is like a baby from the original that grew to be 6 foot tall before i rehomed it to a store I would have just left the jasmines in their cans and buried the cans ...they'll probably grow faster if they get root bound and grow roots out of the bottom of the can. Just letting you know ive bought and lost a lot of jasmine over the years Stephanotis is so hard to kill and blooms like non stop! Pink star is really hard to get going and to get to bloom but it smalls amazing! I've bought several types those 2 are the best
Erin, when you started showing the additional plants all I could think of is a clown car!🤡 But I guess that huge container can handle it! Love the color combinations and looking forward to following its progress over the summer!🍌🪴 I ordered my clematis from Brushwood , in fact I ordered a Indigo Sapphire and it is blooming! Hope Fiona loves her new home. I will have to keep my eye out for her next year.
Go BIG or go home!!! Please, please don’t forget to show regular updates; watching what happens to all the planter’s cohabitants this summer is going to be so much fun! Thank you, Erin! 😊
Agree! Yes, PLEASE. Erin!!!
Wow nice❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Banana #1 should be known as The Top Banana.
Nailed it!!!! That is gorgeous. I’m embarrassed about my sad little banana plant, lol.
Your creativity with planters is so much fun to. watch. You never do what everyone else is doing and I love that!
Lol 😂 "Hang in there Chiquita". I love my banana plants in Texas. Looks great.
Oh la! la! My goodness this planter is going to be a winner this year.
"It's Banana Time!" LOL!
You are the most creative person I've ever seen with planters...not to mention your gardens. Can't wait to see this in August.
Love how you throw in sailing terms into your gardening.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the breeze doesn’t uproot Chiquita before tomorrow morning!!!
Love this container too. All the different plants adds so much interest.
Chiquita Banana in that gorgeous planter with view of climbing hydrangea in the background equals chefs kiss if I ever saw one.
Erin, I love you and your gardening techniques in addition to your relaxed personality! You don’t appear to take yourself so seriously, but show a great deal of gardening knowledge and confidence ❤❤❤

OMG! Erin, those bromiliads!!!
What a fantastic combination! Looking forward to seeing how this grows. 💚😊💚
A possible name for Original Banana, What about "Dole"? You would have a Dole banana and a Chiquita banana. Just a thought
My goodness, Erin! 😳😍😍Gorgeous planter.
Love those bromeliads! So fun to see some out-of-the-box and adventurous planting!
Erin, you might have to temporarily stake that banana. Colorful! Excited to see that pot grow. My banana is smaller, but will grow! ❤
Nothing shy about that planter! Wowza!

Will be entertaining watching that box fill in. All my hopes and prayers are with Fiona Sunrise 😂
