You’re my favourite gardener to learn from as our circumstances are so similar. We have deer, bunnies, rural large property, full-time work away from home and share the love of sipping a frosty beverage while strolling the garden 🙌🏻. Im trying to be a better gardener and have learned so much from you. Thank you for being such an inspiration!
I love how you are so open to change when plants unexpectedly do not return from last year. And it really adds a lot when you explain what you did have last year and what you are renewing the space with this year. That is absolutely relatable and appreciated!
I appreciate these videos so much. Long, "fancy" edited garden tour videos are great too, but I LOVE seeing the weekly updates. You have so many plants and I feel like the frequent tour videos makes it more likely you touch base on every one of them over the course of the season. It also really gives each one a time to shine/give viewers a better picture of what the plant looks like in the real world over the course of the year lol. Great work!
Your gardens never disappoint - and always my 'repeat' channel as I will always learn and see something new when I watch again later. The new color on the door is the cat's pajamas!! Love that you don't follow any trends. Thanks, Erin.
I love your videos! So relatable and honest. Here in northern Illinois we are already dry, missing rains, lawns starting to brown a bit. Fighting bunnies in my garden and a "cheeky" chipmunk running amuck. My neighbor feeds them. Wish my gardens looked as interesting and full as yours. At 77 I am Fighting the Urge to do more!!
Hahaha! I thought you were saying you had a "lyme emergency," but, no, you had a lime emergency associated with your gin and tonic. Thank you for always keeping it real, and for sharing your knowledge, work and passion for gardening with the world.
All the wildlife, is totally incredible! We have hedgehogs, bunnies but not so much in the garden. So cute. Nothing in the garden; we're in winter and hanging out for flowers, scent, and wonderful, warm breezes. Got a wee way to go but I do have to mention, not that I'm rubbing it in or anything, but it's nearly the shortest day, then spring is coming our way. Look forward to our next stroll.
These sip & stroll videos are the best. It's in the 90's here in KY, but I ran out this morning and took out all the bags of soil and compost that was filling the back of my car. It was a good morning.
I laughed when you said gardeners are optimistic about plants not falling over. I was just thinking a few minutes before i watched this that my tickseed should be okay without staking because i planted it in front of my fence. I’d better go tie it up lol
My gardener’s mind thought you were talking about powdered lime when you said you had a lime crisis until you said it was for your cocktail. LOL. ❤ Everything is looking so lush before the heat kicks in. I’ve been telling Laura of Garden Answer to check out your climbing hydrangeas. She has a huge arbor in her south garden I think it would look beautiful growing on. Pesky critters are a nuisance! Squirrels bury peanuts in my containers and gardens…..a neighbor puts out huge bags for them. We have bunnies too. I put BBQ skewers point end up in my pots to keep them out.
Erin, those green and white Navajo Princess Mangaves, are beautiful and striking, I love them in the border. The foliage on your peony looks pristine. My peonies have almost finished blooming, but they have awful mildew, and I will need to move them this fall to an area with better airflow (or myself to a less humid climate). Wow, that climbing hydrangea is a real showstopper!
Everything here in Pemaquid, Maine is doing amazingly well this yr. My hubby says it’s all due to the rain we’ve had this yr. Not so much snow, though.
Love the weekly garden stroll! When you said “lime emergency”, I heard “Lyme emergency” and was immediately concerned. Happy to hear it was only a beverage crisis! 😂Anticipate heat in New Hampshire this week too.
Hi Erin. Garden is looking great. Your Itea Fizzy Mizzy looks like they are suffering from Chlorosis. I have three of them in my Northside of Chicago zone 6a garden, and for the last two years, all three suffered from chlorosis; I treated with chelated iron, and it worked great. They are late to leaf out and take a while to look okay. They lack vigor. Giving them another year and if they don't shape up, they are getting pulled. Thanks for enlightening me on Nepeta Blue Prelude; definitely on my radar for next year. Spencer.
Love these garden strolls. Your garden is beautiful. You are so real and inspiring, showing the best and worst (pests) of gardening. I’m dealing with bunnies and 2 groundhogs that live in my neighbors shed. Spraying a mixture of castor oil and Castile soap - so far is working.
Love your garden! Got a kick out of your Florida plants in containers. Fun to see plants I know and many I don’t. Your sense of humor always makes my day!
Love your garden so natural and easy flowing the way nature is, like the chipmunk running by as you film and the squirrel shaking his tail saying hi on camera, adds to the gardening fun. I have many rabbit families and lots of clover they seem to eat that instead of my plants, might help you too. Enjoy your gin & tonic look forward to the next vid. 🐿🐇🦫
That last one, not an allium but Nectaroscordum Siculum (Sicilian Honey Garlic). Bruise it and smell it, you’ll know for sure! 😂 I only used it as a cut flower once, now it stays out in the garden where I can enjoy the look without the scent.
The container plant choices on your deck are phenomenal. I do think 'standard' containers are beautiful including the PW varieties - but when you take a different approach with quite unexpected plants it produces such a beautiful alternative - much like you would see at a wonderful botanic garden. Thank you for the tour.....
Haha, lime emergency! I can so relate. How could you just bypass that gorgeous ginko without a shout out?!!! Absolutely LOVE your videos. Keeping it real...
Hi Erin! Thanx for another friendly stroll around your garden, what a fun way to start a day 😊 Love the containers on the deck, purple bell vine really took off early this year and already looking stunning, I think it will cover the arbor in no time. Tokyo skies aspidistra is a real stunner! Gardens are looking amazing, irises the creek are loving their life, great addition! Can’t wait for another videos. Happy gardening!
OMG. Love the border with lime green pop of ladies mantle with the purple lavender!! The Coral back door looks so awesome! ( one of my favorite colors) Jealous of your bell flowers! (Failed once should try again). Erin such a joy to do these off the cuff garden tours. Thank you
I love your garden and I loved when you said you were almost done planting. I stewed over the fact that I still have lots to plant. I do plant annuals in the ground and in planters for two other homes and thankfully they are done. I am hoping to finish up my yard this week if I can work around the storms coming our way. I cannot remember when I have been interrupted so many times for rain during planting time, but rain is good. Part of the reason I have so much left to do is that my Winter Sowing was so successful that I am staring at more plants than I usually have in the spring. I live in Zone 4 Black River Falls WI so we are sort of neighbors.
I'm so jelly of that planter on the deck. It turned out gorgeous. Aspadistra (don't get mad if I've spelled it wrong!) is amazing. Maybe I'll be able to get one next year. That staghorn is huge. Your dogwood has changed over the week - it keeps getting prettier and prettier! It can't fade out yet. I need to see it next week!
11:35 I believe that is Sarah Barnhart peonies. They look like mine. I also have the Wine and Roses Wigelia in a large container. I like how yours is planted by your peonies. I am going to do a container refresh and plant the Wigellia by my peonies 😊 Have a great weekend!
Your peony looks like it might be a Sarah Bernhardt - my grandmothers peonies will live forever in my mind and that was one of her varieties. Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing. :)
Thanks for the garden stroll!! I am in Northern California zone 9b and we are hot and dry and past that first flush of flowers in the garden, so looking at your garden was a very refreshing change!!! ❤
Greetings from Washington State! I so enjoyed the stroll through your expansive gardens! I have just found you last week or so, but please forgive me if you have answered this already... Are you the lone gardener or do have any help? ( Its wonderfully huge!!) Do you fear the threat of your Climbing Hydrangea of overtaking the building? We loved ours here, and it thrived... too well! I had to cut that thing like crazy pants! We eventually had to cut it down and remove it from the brick fireplace. I miss it so much, I want to replant one! It was down our North path and it was a happy camper. Thank you soo much for your generous time and tours! I love the informal chat as we go and you are so good at giving the names of the plants you show. Blessings from the great Pacific Northwest! 💛🖤💛 Stacy
Love the Asperdista. I have the regular green one. I see it as a historical plant.i also have bunny problems. I have cages around all my new plugs and it is ugly but safe from bunnies.
Thanks for highlighting the Astrantia and Prelude Nepeta. These are 2 of my favorites and underused. Yes, the deer are a nightmare. My ranunculus is ending and was covered every night until this week. The deer came in and are every bloom and bud!
I love your vidoes! I don't feel intimidated by your garden 😅 You're so real and easygoing. We have deer, too, so always looking for ways to deter them! Thank you 💕
It's looking great! I love seeing the progression of your gardens , it reminds me to be patient with mine. As always, I appreciate you keeping it real!
"I'm done shopping for the year"..."but I should l look for some more watermelon coleus".😂
Same 😅
All in the same breath! Lol. That's a gardener!
Garden logic. 😀
I couldn’t find any watermelon coleus thisbyear
Erin, I really enjoyed the garden stroll. I like the casual feel and the pace of it. I get a lot out of your comments on the fly. Thank you❣️
That climbing hydrangea❤❤❤❤
The most enchanting thing I've seen all year.
Never knew there was such a thing. It's amazing.
Love the coral screen door!
It’s everything 😊
LOVE astrantia! Does great in part shade too.
Lady's Mantle border is superb!!!
I can’t get over your hydrangea on the shed/garage! It’s ridiculously beautiful!
OMG, Erin, that dogwood! Sooo worth 'fussing' over!
Climbing Hydrangea for the WIN!!!❤❤❤❤

Wow that climbing HYDRANGEA. ❤
Yes! "It won't flop this year". As gardeners we have to be optimistic, otherwise we wouldn't plant anything 😊
“Purple bell vine I grew from seed,” she says casually as if that’s no big deal.
It all looks amazing!
"Wild Kingdom here!" 😂
I appreciate these videos so much. Long, "fancy" edited garden tour videos are great too, but I LOVE seeing the weekly updates. Erin, so cool how some plants decide to put on an amazing show. That climbing hydrangea is going for it!
I love your garden walks. So down to earth. The climbing hydrangea is gorgeous.
Watching this video was such a beautiful way to start my Sunday. Thanks
Your house, your neighborhood, and gardens are all so beautiful, Erin. ❤
Hi Erin, thanks for the tour. It’s lovely as always! Love rosy teacups.😊
These informal garden strolls are the best! You have so many beautiful less common plants in your garden. Very inspiring!
Thank you for sharing your garden with all of us! It's beautiful!!
I love these walk through videos. Thank you for all of your knowledge ❤️
Your gardens never disappoint - and always my 'repeat' channel as I will always learn and see something new when I watch again later. The new color on the door is the cat's pajamas!! Love that you don't follow any trends. Thanks, Erin.

Yes love those 😂mangave look really nice there
I love that you grow unusual plants…the planters on the deck are very beautiful…
What is the climbing hydrangea growing on? The one that is growing up high.
I really look forward to these strolls every week. Thank you!
Loving Rosy tea cups and your coral door at the end there. 😁
Thank you for what you do Erin, I appreciate the heck out of you!
I still say crick and I’ve lived in Michigan for 30 plus years. Originally from Wisconsin. 💐💚🙃
Stunning climbing hydrangea!
These sip & stroll videos are the best. It's in the 90's here in KY, but I ran out this morning and took out all the bags of soil and compost that was filling the back of my car. It was a good morning.
Thank you again for another great video! Your porch planters, with the purple vine flowers, are stunning! I am so inspired by you and your gardens.
I laughed when you said gardeners are optimistic about plants not falling over. I was just thinking a few minutes before i watched this that my tickseed should be okay without staking because i planted it in front of my fence. I’d better go tie it up lol
That purple and ladys mantle hedge is gorgeous 😍

Same here, I thought it was lime for the garden soil 😅
Laura's Arbour is too sunny for a climbing hydrangea. It would fry there

Your garden is so unique 😊❤❤🐾❤️
Thank you, Erin! I so enjoy your landscape tours. We have ‘cricks’ here in Iowa too 😜
Everything here in Pemaquid, Maine is doing amazingly well this yr. My hubby says it’s all due to the rain we’ve had this yr. Not so much snow, though.
Gawd , the climbing hydrangea is beautiful !

a beautiful garden tour on Sunday is such a treat! Your garden is absolutely stunning.
I love your garden strolls, thanks for taking us along! You have a beautiful garden.
Thank you, Erin…I LOVE your Saturday unedited tours. ❤❤❤
Don’t pull out the muellin. I know it can be invasive, but the big yellow blooms are beautiful. I call it my Minnesota saguaro cactus.
Hi Erin. Garden is looking great. Your Itea Fizzy Mizzy looks like they are suffering from Chlorosis. Love the wide variety you have! What will a climbing hydrangea do when it runs out of room to climb?
Love the blue door! Looks beautiful lovely climbing hydrangea 🎉 I forgot you have that- great plant. Amazing 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Garden is looking Beautiful!!!!

I bought a Stand By Me clematis several years ago after watching one of your videos - no regrets!
Thanks for the stroll... I get you an being finished and just doing something if you feel like it 😆
Every year I seem to forget how big my comfrey gets. It has already topped 4ft tall. Blooms are close to done so I will shear it back.
So lovely, calm, refreshing even on video.
Thank you Erin.
Love the bandaid on your finger ! Reminds me of my own finger !
I enjoyed the video today very much. I like that you are natural with your appearance and video.
Very natural looking, pleasant on the eye.😊.
I loove bizzarre videos! Well yours as I think it is the most natural and best videos there is! 🥰
Love the Asperdista. I have the regular green one. I see it as a historical plant.i also have bunny problems. I have cages around all my new plugs and it is ugly but safe from bunnies.
I'm loving the shape echo of the mangave and Tokyo Skies :)
I love the door color! So many things are looking good! 🤩
Love the pots on your deck. Beautiful gardens
Love your casual strolling videos!
Erin,
Was that the plant known as "Hairy Balls" centered in the white, round patio container? 😯 That one always cracks me up. 😉😆
Thanks for highlighting the Astrantia and Prelude Nepeta. These are 2 of my favorites and underused. Yes, the deer are a nightmare. My ranunculus is ending and was covered every night until this week. The deer came in and are every bloom and bud!
Lovely garden. First time visiting your videos. I'm in zone 9b, northern California. Its just stinkin hot and dry. So nice to see green lush gardens.
I love your vidoes! I don't feel intimidated by your garden 😅 You're so real and easygoing.
We have deer, too, so always looking for ways to deter them! Thank you 💕
I absolutely love your gardens. Enjoyed so much. Wish I had a little creek in my garden.
Your property is beautiful. Just wondering if you have ever thought about putting a pretty Green house in? ☺️
It's looking great! I love seeing the progression of your gardens , it reminds me to be patient with mine.
As always, I appreciate you keeping it real!
Looking gorgeous!!❤
thanks Erin!🪴
