If given a choice I would go back in time and get married with only 30 to 50 people around. I would ask my dad to invest the 10 lakhs we spent. My husband's side didn't demand anything but my parents were adamant about grand marriage. If we had invested that money in 2013. Now it would have doubled. Atleast gold increases in value and all other expenses are absolutely waste. Saree draping, Make up, Candid Photography. Marriage doesn't need these things. People just forgot the difference between needs and wants in recent times.
Because now you have got the memories and experienced it you can easily say this , most girls want grand wedding as a kind of feeling or happiness.
