- As the BBC Celebrates its Centenary, Whovians mourn the end of the groundbreaking Jodie Whittaker Era in Doctor Who. Jodie has been an amazing ambassador for the show and brought so much joy and hope to the Doctor's adventures over the past 5 years.
Thank You Jodie Whittaker, you are a role model to so many. We will miss you.

Can’t say I’m looking forward to her last regular episode this coming Sunday. Sure gonna miss her.
Most fans and members of the public can't wait! Very few will miss her.
@@blastfromthepast8344 I agree. I haven’t liked the show since Peter Capaldi.
I have watched this show my entire life and 13 was rubbish.
@@reu9398 Worse than rubbish... if that's possible! LOL
Then you're not a real fan
I miss her too!
Jodie and her doctor saved my life when I was in a truly dark place and I will never be able to thank her enough for that. Brilliant soul and just so lovely to everyone she meets.
Forever my doctor
I late for a year. But absolutely the same.
The last season was great. I just watched Flux and it was very enjoyable, the episode before Power of the Doctor felt like a show the 90’s, which to me, is a good thing. Very nostalgic.
What a beautiful tribute! Jodie is and has been absolutely brilliant since day one as the Doctor and an ambassador to this wonderful show! Her and her Doctor is a beacon of light and hope that we all need in dark times!
Brilliant since day one? You sure? A beacon of misery and darkness that absolutely no one needs at any time... Just listen to the champagne corks popping and the cheering on Sunday night! The worst Doctor of them all has finally left the building. YES!
@@blastfromthepast8344 Ah the troll has arrived, where is your mate Michael?
@@booradley8895 And where's your friend 'Scout'...?
@@blastfromthepast8344 ?????
@@booradley8895 That was a test to gauge your level of ignorance. As expected, you failed. I shan't waste my time communicating with you again as you've just proved that it's not worth it. I consider your thoughts and opinions to be less than worthless... just like the Chibnall/Whittaker era of Doctor Who. Adios. LOL
Beautiful tribute! Loved seeing all the first reactions and different cast react to the news very nostalgic for 2017. Great use of the behind the scenes footage & other appearances, really hit home how sad Sunday will be!!!
*Garbage tribute to a garbage character
This is wonderful, thank you so much! I will miss her in the role. I hope she gets a chance to come back one day, or do some Big Finish audios or something.
She was terrible as the Doctor
Me, too :)
Broken to see Jodie go miss her already
Thank you Jodie
You were Fantastic 😊❤
Jodie Whittaker what a quality legend
I think Tennant and Smith brought heaps of joy and hope to the role as well.
What do you mean 'as well'? Jodie brought nothing to the role but disaster on an epic scale.
@@blastfromthepast8344 Okay you got me there. I was trying to avoid that which you say. I actually agree with you but didn't want to cop a lot of hate replies. Yes she wasn't the right choice to be cast as the Doctor.
Matt and Tenant could make you feel their joy and sadness. Jodie was just so fake in portraying any of these!!
@@priscillateo1691 Yes she was like a pastiche! I am so glad that era is over.
Bravo!! This made me tear up a few times. She made this show so unique and special for so many people, like me and that is what I’m going to miss about the show. This era may not be everyone’s favourite and all that, but Jodie as a human being is something so special to everyone in this fandom.
Thank you Jodie Whittaker for making me feel seen and special.
💙💙
Xxx
LOL
it is apparent you never followed her on Twitter or listened to her blast fans of 40-plus years. Sunday cannot come soon enough.
Oh she made it unique alright (not the good kind though)

I personally hope, really hope that I get to meet her at some point. Jodie basically brought Dr Who back for me. I didn't bother with the series for a long time after series 2, and I felt robbed. I have since caught up with a few of the previous series, namely series 3, 5 and 10, but Jodie's era just nailed it for me. As soon as I saw the series 11 premier and I saw her opening on youtube, I knew I'd love it. I did. I have all of her series, all her specials, I love the companions and Jodie was a revelation as the Doctor. I even have a series 11 duvet cover, cd soundtrack and a mug. She didn't do one single poor episode. The writing was top notch. Four outstanding episodes in her three series. Thank you, Jodie, I hope I get to thank you in person some day.
Jodie, you will be missed! You made an amazing doctor! I will never forget the time whan YOU were the DOCTOR!
LOL. As if.
April fools was 6 months ago
Are you joking? 😅
This is AMAZING... It's just what she is: pure joy and love. How incredible Doctor she is and I'll never forget her. She is my Doctor and always will be. So, I want to thank you for this wonderful tribute to her, to the woman who fell to our hearts. Thank you.
She will be forgotten very quickly... most people have tried to forget her for the past five years. Certainly she'll be forgotten by all the licencees who saw their sales dwindle to nothing while she was in the role. She is your Doctor? I feel so sorry for you!
@@blastfromthepast8344 I agree, she was a complete disaster. Just not up to the task
You're not a real fan
She's an abysmal Doctor and will be forgotten by all true fans. Cope
Queen of the pig-snout expression, for sure. My Doctor(s) are Tennant and Capaldi, but I'm of the generation who belonged to Tom Baker in the first instance, though I do remember William Hartnell. This excuse for a Doctor will be consigned to the deepest black hole in fandom, I hope. God, I'm glad she's going!
This is amazing and better that the BBC tribute made 😊
christ this made me tear up. beautiful. i'm really really going to miss her. she was brilliant. 💙💙
No she wasn't fake fan
@@MichaelM28 ok mate you do you. Don’t really give one about what you think
@@MichaelM28 Fake fan because of an opinion? Hmm I guess that gives me the right to call you a fake fan by your logic :)
Thanks for being a steward for Doctor Who hope you go on to do amazing and brilliant things
Keep denying reality jodie bot
She literally knows nothing about Doctor Who and attacks fans. Worst "steward" ever
@@MichaelM28 bs you hate get off my doctor who video then
@@MichaelM28 Hmm proof? Because all I see in videos is her being very kind
She was a good Doctor, but the writing could have been so much better. I do feel that her finale on Sunday will be amazing and she will go out in style. Looking forward to watching and the regeneration at the end.
You're wrong about one thing. She was NOT a good Doctor.
I actually thought most of the stories were quite good
Going to miss jodie my favourite doctor ever
Then you're not a real fan
I don't think I really have a favourite Doctor, but if I did, she would definitely be in one of the top spots :)
Amazing way to pay tribute to the first female doctor! Jodie has been a inspiration to me. A timelord can be any Sexuality, gender, race and so much more. Thank you Jodie.
SO Beautiful good bye. I will miss Jodie as the Doctor. She was good in the role, even if the writing was always the best.
Great video!
this was fantastic
This is a beautifully edited video. Jodie Whittaker is tied with Matt Smith for my favourite Doctor and I will be very sad to see her go on Sunday.
Then you're not a real fan
@@MichaelM28 It's fine not to like her era, but patrolling around like a Dalek trying to exterminate anyone with a differing opinion is such a waste of energy. You could be spending that time rewatching an episode that you do like.
She cannot act and never had a moment that 'defined' her Doctor. She and Chibnall neatly divided the fan base and took the show to the ratings basement. Thank goodness this train wreck of an era is ending.
She can act well. Did it on Broadchurch and Black Mirror. I think it comes down to directing and writing here.
@@user-nv9vn8fm1d There are certain parts she can do well in, but she does not have much range
@@user-nv9vn8fm1d As Edmund points out, there's just not much range there, certainly no gravitas that the part requires.
@@allenrhys844 If everyone including John Barrowman has the same problem under these directors and writers, I think at some point you have to acknowledge it's not the actors that are the problem.
@@user-nv9vn8fm1d I didn't think Barrowman's problem was the acting.
An amazing tribute to this incredible actress, her portrayal has been magical, I cannot stop watching her in this role and what she brought.
How much did Chibnall pay you to say that?
Her portrayal was so "magical" 80% of the audience disappeared
I love so much jodie whittaker she is my favorite doctor ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Thank you Jodie, it took guts to take on this job, and I and many other fans enjoyed your stay. Hope to hear you on Big Finish.
Real fans hate her
She doesn't deserve Big Finish
@@MichaelM28 How predictable. 😂
goodbye and good riddence simple as that.
At last... some sanity on this page of delusion. Jodie did more damage to the role than anyone would have thought possible. Such a shame that most people on here can't, or won't, admit it.
Agree she was a disaster
Jodie's the best
She Is An Amazing Actress To Portraying The Doctor And I Loved And Adore This Edit Once That I Enjoyed It So Much 😇😎
She was good. Idk about her stories though or the writing. But to each their own
She knew barely anything about DW, she wasn’t a good doctor and her acting was bland.
@@DingleDangle66 Matt Smith didn't know anything about Doctor Who at the start so I don't care whether she knew much about doctor who. That's a pretty stupid complaint.
And she acts well in other things. Not her fault the writing is bad.
@@DingleDangle66 99% of the actor for the Doctor had never watched Doctor Who
@@DingleDangle66 Hartnell knew absolutely nothing about doctor who
@@booradley8895 truth!
Whittaker is a phenomenal actress. She was great as The Doctor, and I will definitely miss her portrayal. Her time in the TARDIS had its ups and downs, but that's clearly due to the writing and not Whittaker's performance.
If anything, the past seasons made me a fan of Mandip Gill and look forward to what she does next.
My Doctor for all time 😭❤️
Farewell Jodie, I think you have been miscast as the Doctor though. But wishing you well in future projects.
She is a great actress such Shane she was put down by poor writing and toxic fans etc her era could of actually could of been one of the best eras of the show
Typical jodie bot blaming the fans for her failure
She's a terrible "actress"
@@MichaelM28 you are just a toxic fan
I love this
But you will sometimes back as 13th Doctor, right?
God, let's hope not. Why would anyone in their right mind want to bring her back? Hasn't she done enough damage?
@@blastfromthepast8344 I would like to see her come back :)
@@blastfromthepast8344 We don't want chibnall back :)
Jodie is a fantastic actress, her abilities weren't shown with his writing though
A dreadful actress giving a dreadful performance working from scripts written by a dreadful writer in a show with a dreadful show runner. Goodbye and good riddance. The pain will soon be over.
Dreadful writing yes, but dreadful actress is stretching it. How about you go and try out for the role, let’s see if you can do better.
@@ComiXtik2484 But I didn't. She tried and failed miserably.
@@ComiXtik2484 I don't have to do something to judge something. Jodie walks around with one arm stretched out while gurning and spouting terrible lines with a silly voice while cocking her head. That's her considered take on the role. Yes, the real blame lies with the idiot feeding her the lines but her performance is more than awful.
@@peterd788 completely agree - and her biggest crime was her failure to even watch previous episodes of the show so there was no real knowledge or love for the character there. She basically googled up who was the most popular Doctor, got Tennant as an answer and tried to impersonate him all through her run. Such unbelievable hubris! Proper preparation and planning prevents piss poor performance...says it all really. No personality, no depth to her performance and by far her biggest problem was no gravitas, something every Doctor had - and I include Jo Martin in that list because , leaving aside the controversy, she is a better actress and gave us a more convincing version of the character in one episode than Whittaker did in 3 series! If Martin had been the 13th Doctor I would have been very happy with that. The writing was of course a complete disaster and I see many comments here saying Jodie was let down by that. Sorry, but that's no excuse - a decent actor can spout the biggest load of shite you can think of yet still maintain credibility and appeal. Look at some of the truly dire scripts the classic Doctors had to deal with yet watching the likes of Pertwee and Baker work around them was still pure joy. Good riddance and let's hope Ncuti learns from her mistakes.
@@billstorie5161 I have a dream in which Nicola Walker played the first female doctor and in that dream I saw something of beautiful depth and wonderous. Instead we got Huddersfield's village idiot.
Good bye.... sorry I never new ya Jodie Whittaker
way before jodie barbara benedtti played the doctir in four e[isodies way back in the 1980's
Unique doesn't mean good. The hate these seasons got wasn't because the doctor wasn't a man, but she isn't a good actor.
She was horribly miscast. Completely incapable of bringing anything good to the role. Playing the Doctor will probably finish her career.
Difficult to see how her career recovers from this
@@edmundofengland hopefully it doesn't
Farewell Jodie,
Admittedly you were my least favourite Doctor and I felt you were totally miscast, I still think that you are a great actress, I enjoyed your performances in Broadchurch and Black Mirror.
