    As a Thai I would say that most people that got trafficked are job-seekers that got tricked to go work in Thailand but are actually kidnapped to Myanmar, not random tourists getting dragged off streets. However, the thoughts that people can be kidnapped anywhere here is definitely understandable as our government is doing very little to tackle this problem and not being serious about this issue enough to make tourists feel safe.

      I don't think you understand what Interpol is.
      Interpol doesn't have any jurisdiction anywhere, it's not a law enforcement agency.
      It's role is more to share information and coordinate police of different countries with each other.
      It's not like in the movies where Interpol employees can make arrests and stuff like that. It's a powerless organization by design

I needed extensive reporting and waiting for a permit just to go out for a couple of hours a week. I didn't know the nature of their work before I went there but I figured everything out in my first month so I quit immediately although the pay was higher than I've ever made in my entire life (over $1200 in first month: which, for a country like myanmar, is ridiculously high income). When it comes to Human Trafficking, the likelihood of being kidnapped is less to none. Traffickers generally don't want any type of media coverage or police interference since kidnapping generates media coverage. They most likely lure people to a promise of a job but then when the victim arrive there they don't realize they've already been trafficked.

    • @jakob.k_design
      @jakob.k_design 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      they do not use traditional phones. All scam callcenters use services/software that work via the internet and then emulate basically any area code that works best.
      The only way to effectively fight this is by educating people and maybe by making the callsoftware providers liable, because some of those companies know very well that their software is used for fraudulent activity. But they do not care, because they do not face any legal repercussions.
      Also prohibitng corruption in those areas and actually punishing those criminals would work, but that is not gonna happen in those areas. There is a reason why call centers are located in certain areas, and it is not because everybody there is happy to scam people it is because corrrupt police allows it.

The 4 families who run the compound had killed chinese special police forces by burying them alive as they were on mission to infiltrate into the compound but they actually buried alive. The victims all released now; one of the 4 family who run the compound suicided. They gave $ to the Myanma government; Chinese government asks Myanma government for help for a long time but no help so they have to arm militia to rescue the victims after their police buried alive by the compound bosses. The time frame happened when you heard about Myanma militia fighting against the Myanma junta military. The militia armed by china; one of the main goal is to raid the KK park because chinese government can't raid KK park themselves.
