This house was built in 2013/2014. I am into design furniture and contemporary stuff - so Victorian was not even an option :-)
I purchased the kit in the USA, did some severe bashing and adding to the house (have a fully equipped workshop now..), needed to familiarize myself with LED, 3D printing and 3D Live Interior (to draw the house plans). And I definitely know ALL the DIY stores in my region of Switzerland!! I found loads of useful information in the web, especially on Pinterest.

I've had this video saved on my YT library, it's been an inspiration and it fueled my love for interior and miniature
It's so perfect, the bedrooms look like a nice hotel. Love the outside spaces, the garden and trees and everything is so lovely. That staircase is stunning. It looks like a real house

you noticed.... lighting is very important to me, in real life and therefore as well in minis. it makes or breaks a room. was my first dollhouse ever - I have moved on a bit in the meantime and design my own houses ;-) regards

Yeah i agree, i am planning to use delicate furniture on my dollhouse i am receiving soon, so i would probably avoid little children playing with it. I love your dollhouse and it inspires me to be creative, what i really admire is that the attention to detail is endless like: the newspapers, the books and the small clock in the attic room it is so cool . I can imagine you must of been very passionate building and designing. I have looked so closely at the details like the mac book (so cute). Overall this is the best dollhouse I have seen in my whole entire life. Great job> big thumbs up! :-)

Simply stunning! Good modern/contemporary furniture is difficult to find. Did you make most of your furnishing? I'm particularly in love with the staircase to mention on specific item.
hi there! yes, most of the furniture I made myself (not dining chairs, eames in lounge, etc.). staircase, chairs and bathroom stuff I designed in 3d - and you can find this on shapeways now. so, getting more easy to find modern furniture :-)
the staircase fits really well between the two floors, railing was a little tricky to make though..
When I read you learned 3D, I assumed you created some things using it. Thanks for replying. I hope you'll continued to do your amazing work!

Bunny Mad I bought 4.2mm aluminum rods and - I must confess - took them to a mechanic friend of mine. the cutting was not the problem, but drilling the 2mm the holes at a 35° angle (same as stair base) was impossible for me without proper tools!. I then fed wire and white shrink tube (not shrunk though) through. ;-)

FAN-TASTIC WORK!!! Was wondering if this house is made of foamboard? If not, what type of material is this? I really want to make a Contemporary/Modern house like this but i'm a beginner. U are definitely 1 of my inspirations. Such creative talent. Thanks !
hi twin jen, no, it is made of mdf - hard to work with and I would never do it again :-). I recommend that you use 10mm foamboard for your walls and 5 and 3mm for interior walls and furniture. my present project is made from foambard. have a look at www.pinterest.com/MarionRussek/112-my-model-log-cabin-blockhaus/ ... and feel free to ask for advice :-)
Oh ok @ Strichli, thanks for the advice! just rounded up all my supplies and material. Hopefully find some time to work on this project. Will post and let you see what came of it. Definitely will ask for more advice if I get stuck in a runt working on it. I'm super inspired by your beautiful work and thanks again! You ROCK!!!

This is great. I hope to be this good one day 😀. Did you make the burner plates for the stove, or did you buy? I want my burners on my island but can't figure out how. Maybe some ideas from a pro .

SF design miniatures thanks for the compliment :-). the burner plates I ordered from elf miniatures in the u.k. but I you probably can make them yourself as well: print your computer design, then cover is with see-through selfsticking paper and make a rim with metal painted cardboard (optional). good luck! and go and see all the dollhouse tutorials on pinterest.com

xXCarlijn12Xx hi there! basically they do not open, no. some are hiding electrical wiring and switches, e.g. in the kitchen where the eye-level oven is. it is more about the 'look' than being able to play with it..

but please note that it is not a dollhouse for children to play with - much too delicate. it is for a miniature collector ;-)
