Bravo - such a beautiful property. The selection is awesome form the beautiful furniture to the gorgeous detailining. Definitely a dream come true. Beautiful music, too.
I think your house looks fantastic. I enjoyed looking at what you had done with it. Your little dog is lovely too. I really must get on with my own Beacon Hill. Had it for ages and just never really got going with painting and furnishing it. Now I feel quite inspired.
How elegant, I would love to own a dollhouse this size but I can’t imagine trying to move it safely to avoid damaging it. I recently had quite a time transporting a real good toys Thornhill dollhouse and that was a feat enough, this one I can’t even begin to imagine, from taking out all beautiful miniatures, to securing the lighting so it won’t swing and get damaged. Someone recommended using foam cups or any disposable cups in general with a bit of tissue paper inside and tape it to the ceilings before the big move in case anyone is interested. Thank you for sharing, I lovedddd your gorgeous Victorian! So intricate and just perfect!
The only thing that needs to be changed is, take out the food and dining table should be dressed with porclain plates and silver utensils with glass cups with dining napkins.
WOW!!! This is your very first dollhouse???? I have have built this house and it's not easy. But you've done an amazing job. It's soon beautiful! I recently purchased it again and went looking for inspiration and THIS IS IT!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Rosie Summer Me too! Watching these for inspiration...so excited; can't wait to get all creative with the details! Thinking about turning my 'Orchid' into a Barber's Victorian Dream house; with a tiny Barber chair and station area out of the kitchen
This is a gorgeous dollhouse. I love your colors, textures, floors, wallpapers, furniture - just everything! Where did you find all the accessories and supplies? So beautiful.
Deb R. Thank you so much Deb. I ordered some of the furniture from ebay, but lots of it I just got by browsing fleemarkets and gathering second hand stuff etc.
My dad and I just finished my Beacon Hill Dollhouse after 11 months of work. I just brought it home to my house last week. I you want to check it out I built a website with video tutorials and free furniture templates too. All are in the 1:12 scale and are free to use. www.dollhouseminiaturemadnessandtutorials.com/classes/templates/
Sorry my bad shaky hands. I have the Greenleaf Fairfield dollhouse kit . I ordered it by mistake ,lol. I thought it was full scale and was only half scale . Did you have problems with your kit ,wood, directions ? Any advice I would be grateful for . Thank you for inspiring me
This is simply amazing!!!!! I have just bought this exact same dollhouse from amazon, hopefully I can do a fraction of a good job that you have done on yours! I live overseas and I am basically online shopping like a madwoman for all the basic furniture and acessories I need. My question is, besides the kit itself, plus glue and paint, what else is needed just to get the basic dollhouse done? I'm asking because I don't want the kit to arrive and not having all the tools I need. Thanks!
+Genevieve A. It depends how much you want to spend. But I got a lot of the wallpaper and floor coverings just from stationary shops. You might want to order some of the finishings like skirtings beforehand.
Zee Riyaz Thank you so much. No neither the furniture nor any wall papers or floors come with it. You only get the box with the sheets of wood. Everything I did not make myself or bought from local newspaper agencies, was ordered from ebay.
Elize, I hope my inquiry finds you well.. I was wonder if you would be willing to share what material you used for the front porch flooring on your Beacon Hill build - which is amazing by the way, you do incredible work !!
+Danny Roebuck Hi Danny, thank you so much! I bought wooden beads meant for making necklaces at the china mall and glued them so that the holes do not show. Then I just cement it in with normal tile grout. South Africa is not very big on dollhouse building as a hobby so I have to use initiative.
+Elize Venter - Wow - I'm not worthy - it's quite the look, how you in-visioned such a successful outcome is beyond me, I assume the tile grout was of similar color of the beads and then it looks like it has a clear or semi clear finish perhaps ?

Hi, its just a fluffy piece of material I got at a fabric shop.
