it’s interesting how ophelia and soleil are indifferent to the camera but apollo is obsessed with it lol. i wonder why. also can the girls say “peekaboo” now? yay
6:34 - 6:42 are the three most unimpressed faces I think I've ever seen. The fact they held it for that long just made it so much better. Apollo starting to scratch was the cherry on top lol!
@@basspig lol that can be because of their personality or gender too! Female birds in general are quieter, only picking up at max 4 letter words. Age influences that too, but overall your parrot probably understands a lot of what you say
@@Mayayapayapa dang, I should have held out for a male parrot. Originally the parrot place was going to give me a male, but the two birds they had one was female and another couple had claimed the male first. Oh well.
@@basspig sometimes it's hard to see the bird's sex without a blood exam, they probably guessed it or confused your parrot with another one. If your parrot is not older than 5 years i think you can still teach them though, just with a lot of persistence

His obsession with "four" continues to crack me up. He is so smart and can definitely learn the ofher numbers but i guess this is his favorite. My Jack also almost exclusively says "four". If we are lucky he will grace us with a single "two"!
The fact that he answered so many questions correctly in a row just confirms to me he's messing with you when he answers incorrectly. Hell, he didn't even touch the toilet paper to know it was paper lol
i think the next step should teach apollo yes and no, and then integrate questions like "is it a rock" this could teach his rudimentary grammar in language, and can solidify word associations with objects
He's commenting on his environment without prompting! That's amazing! I've seen vids of him chattering on his own and it always seemed more about the sounds than the meaning. And of course he answers all sorts of questions. But this is the first time I've seen Apollo unprompted make comments. "Pour water", "Bug" (for the shrimp) and "Drop" when he dropped the shrimp. I've been wondering if that would happen and really delightful to see it myself.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY big intelligent funny birb! 🎉😆😘💕 THANK YOU for all the entertainment and have a wonderful B-Day!! 😁🎂🎈🎁 May you have many more to come with lots of love, good health & happiness!! 🎁💖✨😁 Xx
Happy Hatchday, Apollo! This is the best party I've ever seen, I wish I were invited 🐣 PS: that muffin slap at 6:41 was personal 😂 what happened there? lol
So i find it wonderful that Apollo knows hat is a concept and not a specific motion other people do. (recognizes you and him having stuff on head as the same concept "hat") Metal/glass etc are amazing dont get me wrong, but I do a lot of exactly that with dogs. While dogs are great for learning words and behaviors, its hard to get a clear example of animals recognizing and offering the word for concepts that describe a motion or behavior. good work demonstrating his reasoning! @1:08 i cant even claim his reaction to the plastic bottle not being cork is human. its universal that WHAT transcends species. "cork." "no bottle." *visibly taken aback* "bottle!?" and i get it, he gave the "lid" a squeeze and it was softer than glass or metal. he was kind of right, it was just the cap not a peice of cork wood. cork can be used interchangeably with a bottle's lid sort off, even in human conversation. (put a cork in it, vs put a cap on it)
Happy Birthday Apollo. They forgot to sing!!!! I’ll sing for you, but you won’t hear it. They did their best Apollo. That was an expensive Bug! You liked it too.
Happy Belated Birbday Apollo! 🥳 Glad to see you had so much fun and yummy food 😊 Can’t believe you’re 4 already! And you get smarter every day! I’m glad you have such a sweet loving family 😊 You’re a special little guy and I hope you have many more years with 4 in them! Lol God bless! ❤
The awkward silence of all the birds looking at the cakes you spend so long cooking feels a lot like having unimpressed toddlers.
😂🤣
Loved that!😂
And when Dalton‘s hand slammed down on the middle cake, they didn’t even flinch😅
