Act 2 isn't the weakest part of the game, it's just where you spend the least amount of time. No, Thorm being awesome has nothing to do with ACT2 being weak. Act 2 has worst and smallest map, least interactive activities, annoying exploration gimmick (shadow curse), boring missions etc. But yes, Thorm is the best villain on pair with Rafael in this game, too bad he’s killed off so quick.
It really isn't it's the bridge, maybe on subsequent playthroughs you can say yeah some of the mechanics are "tedious", but on that first playthrough its' likely the most locked in most players ever were. The weakest is def Act 3 because of the potential that felt unexplored and how dealing with Gortash and Orin was so linear, you can either deal with one or the other first when it felt like there could have been more options in playing them against each other.
BG1's campaign in BG3's engine would be a dream come true. The combat is much more flexible and richer in BG3, it would be a dream to play the original campaign again in this new engine.
I still like the combat of the originals more, at least within the context of a BG game. I like BG3 combat, especially the reactivity and creativity of it... but it's pretty much just stripped down Original Sin combat.
@nicholasrova3698 I really don't care if it's stripped down Original Sin. Jump alone makes the combat more flexible. Then you have verticality, engagement, attacks of opportunity, and a long list of elements that make the combat so much richer. Don't get me wrong, I love the original BG games but the truth of the matter is they don't hold a candle to BG3's combat in terms of complexity, variety and richness. There are so many variables in BG3's combat that just a different action even with the same party composition and spells can lead to a completely different encounter. In BG1 and 2, all the encounters, with the same spells and tools end up being the same and you can predict them quite accurately. It was a great combat system, in the 90s, but BG3 wins now. At least for me.
It's weird that so many people hate on Act 2, but really want a Curse of Strahd mod. While not the same kind of story at all, the Shadowlands definitely captured the vibe of Barovia to me.

They could have made a deal with Larian but screwed it up, or hired someone else to follow through - like any of these modders!. instead they let it sit on the shelf.
@ maybe but every business decision depends on what they were offered by WOTC. We don’t know. but even without Larian WOTC could get a new studio to do the DLC using Larian’s work. The mods show how that could be done in a short time. WOTC did not want to pay for it, apparently.
All looks pretty rough, but it's good to see people trying to expand the game. I'd prefer something official, but it's unlikely we'll get anything like that, even through a separate developer.
The thing that I immediately notice with the location mods versus the base game is just how flat the terrain is, and the visible flaws in textures present in the assets used to build the environments, even zoomed out. If they can improve that, it will feel closer to something that would appear in the base game
One mod I have not seem I cant believe has not been done yet is new monsters. I cant believe no one has created rust monsters or other iconic D&D monsters.
Subscribed, please do a list of worthy mods every few months, i finished my second playthrough a few months ago, thinking about starting a third soon, just need new content:)
That hub for other campaigns is neat idea ... but I would probably go with something more thematic ... there was Sigil - City of Doors for example? I did never saw it and dont know much lore about it but it sounded cool and like something exactly for that purpose :)
Calling Act 2 the weakest part of the game is wild. Act two is where the storyline and character power both hit their stride. The goals and progression are cleaner, you start seeing the growth (or devolving) of the companions, and it's large enough without feeling like a rambling mess. Act 1 is a giant tutorial and Act 3 is a slog.
@SharonCrader dont hold your breathe, they are cookin but slow cookin, the pace really depends on how much moonglasses gets updated and features unlocked. moonglasses kit still has hicups to get working virtualtextures and custom mesh imports to in order to begin to start adding new enemies models, ai tactic and sound effects. i really wish this clicky bait style of video format from this content creator would stop pitching these moonglasses videos as they are around the corner, when its not the case, its playstation granade slop in comparisons to his actual bg3 mods reviews which are really good, these could be more far reaching as YT shorts, or maybe at least interview some of the modders for substance. this channel will prob hide this comment like he has done to all my prior comments in the past.
I’ve never hidden a single comment from anyone in my life. Chill out man 🤦🏻♂️ Did you even watch the video? One is releasing in a few days, another in a couple of weeks, some of them are a bit further out. Next time watch the actual video before judging 💙
Depends how much/what they change. If they conflict with each other then probably not, but if they affect different parts of the game or they’re entirely seperate areas then yeh they should work together for the most part 😊
The Astral plane confuses me. It's supposed to be it's own plane of existence but without time. But many talk about like it's just outer space. Which is it? You can breath in the astral plane, you cannot in space. Hence my confusion.

The thing that I immediately notice with the location mods versus the base game is just how flat the terrain is, and the visible flaws in textures present in the assets used to build the environments, even zoomed out. If they can improve that, it will feel closer to something that would appear in the base game
Someone build a campaign set in Menzoberranzan...
One mod I have not seem I cant believe has not been done yet is new monsters. I cant believe no one has created rust monsters or other iconic D&D monsters.
A new Spelljammer video game would be welcomed (at least, by me).
I wish there was a dungeon creation tool.
It’s being worked on from what I’ve heard 😉
I wonder if the community could crowdfund to get the voice actors back and do a whole other campaign or add new lines even.
I would love to do my Homebrew world for this.
I was really hoping there’d be a sequel. Maybe set in Avernus
Nice im looking formal to these
I’d love to see a campaign of moonrise and the sharrans vs the Harper’s before the land is shadow cursed
@@flumph3209 Yes! And the return of the cut second moonrise tower!
It’s be cool to have a dragon age campaign lol
Are any of these playable yet? If yes, how? If no, when?
All will be on Nexus. First one releasing in a few days or so, the next early January. Then some of the others are a few months away.
Subscribed, please do a list of worthy mods every few months, i finished my second playthrough a few months ago, thinking about starting a third soon, just need new content:)
I will pay a large sum of money for someone to make the entirety of KOTOR in BG3 😂
Do the mod tools come with levels and abilities past level 12?
That hub for other campaigns is neat idea ... but I would probably go with something more thematic ... there was Sigil - City of Doors for example? I did never saw it and dont know much lore about it but it sounded cool and like something exactly for that purpose :)
imagine someone were to build the quest modules like curse of strahd
I want Neverwinter nights, thank you.
Calling Act 2 the weakest part of the game is wild. Act two is where the storyline and character power both hit their stride. The goals and progression are cleaner, you start seeing the growth (or devolving) of the companions, and it's large enough without feeling like a rambling mess. Act 1 is a giant tutorial and Act 3 is a slog.
time to buy this on PC
2:45 - Huh, in Spelljammer, ships bring atmosphere with them. Did they remove that in 5e?
the spelljammer yes please
Here's hoping the BG3 modding community goes the way of Skyrim
It's hilarious to me how Larian outmatched Bioware sooo fucking hard
if we can get some NWN modules or solasta levels of custom campaigns, it would be awesome!
Where can we find these campaigns?
He said Nexus Mods for one of them so most likely all of them.
Chill out man 🤦🏻♂️
Did you even watch the video? One is releasing in a few days, another in a couple of weeks, some of them are a bit further out. Next time watch the actual video before judging 💙
Need princes of the apocalypse, curse of strahd, tomb of annihilation, vecna eve of ruin, and an Avernus campaign
Amazing
How do we download the custom campaigns?
Matter of time till someonw remake bg 1&2 into here
Imagine NWN modules like Swordflight on BG3 engine...
Out of curiosity how compatible these mods with each other and other? Will you be able to also tun various console mods as well?
Depends how much/what they change. If they conflict with each other then probably not, but if they affect different parts of the game or they’re entirely seperate areas then yeh they should work together for the most part 😊
Just another friendly reminder that The Witcher series started out as a Neverwinter mod
No way, is that true? I had no idea.
I wonder if these mods are coming to consoles as well as pc. That would be fantastic.
I'm guessing a lot of this is PC only? Hopefully I can find some on the ps5
Once someone drops rise of the runelords its on
Will these ever come to console?
🤞🏽
My wishlist:
2e mode
Eye of the Beholder 1 & 2
Never winter Nights Campaigns
Pools of Radiance
I only heard that act 3 is the unfinished part of the hame
any persistant worlds like nwn yet?
Not yet. Still very early days. But some awesome stuff coming soon.
The Astral plane confuses me. It's supposed to be it's own plane of existence but without time. But many talk about like it's just outer space. Which is it? You can breath in the astral plane, you cannot in space. Hence my confusion.
Warm your blade in Lathanderian blood and the Lady of Loss shall know you 🙏🏻
act 2, people didn't enjoy that one much? I thought that area was really fun and really enjoyed the undead theme of that act
I’m waiting for the neverwinter nights 2 overhaul
I’d love a mod for ubber bosses, one in each act meant to be fought at the end of the act.
Yeh there’s a few out there, I need to test some out for future videos!
Will these mods be available in the mod menus ingame or will all these be nexus mods stuff
Most likely only on Nexus
Are any of these in the mod manager or only on nexus mods?
Nexus
@@VeteranJoystick damn it. These are awesome. I’m an old guy now and can’t figure out how to get the mods to work from Nexus. Hopefully some start to show up. Thank you much for responding. Awesome channel and content.
Lathander getting shit on everywhere
I just wanna explore the map after i finish the game with all my gear :(
Wow I could be wrong but squallydabeanz worked on Skywind the Skyrim mod MANY years ago
@@Fishfiend2820 No way? I didn’t know that! I’ll ask him
@@VeteranJoystickI could be wrong, it could be a different person but that name takes me back to early days. I couldn't see a link in the description to anything of his was it all posted on a discord server?
How does one actually get the mods?
Majority are still in development, but Spelljammer is available now on Nexus mods. The rest are coming next year 😊
Give us Lilarcor back! I want an annoying talking sword!
Speed run or Rocket sled? XP lol
PC only ??
Mass Effect Trilogy in BG3 please
