They have components of online and in person. Whats your thoughts on this college? Due to limited finance, I need to pick up a post grad dip , but originally i wanted to enrol in a MPH
Universities dont provide visas, that would be the government. But doing certain programs at university level (like a masters degree) can qualify u to get a work permit afterwards. The policies on wether post brad diplomas will qualify for a work permit and a PR changes every few years, so you have to check the gov of Canada website for the current laws.

Yes I assume it does. I do not give work permit or immigration related advice so its good if you can confirm with an expert in that field. To my limited knowledge, study permit and work permit requires it to be in-person or hybrid in person study and for a duration of 1 year or more (not 6 month certificates or self paces certifications).

Hello Vishal, as I mentioned in this video, starting off in Canada as an international student doing a master's in clinical research or clinical epidemiology can be very helpful to set u up for a career in this field.
Hello, I'm a doctor by profession from India having more than 8 years of clinical experience. I have recently immigrated to Canada as a PR and have been thinking of a career in clinical research. Is it absolutely necessary to go in for a clinical research course or based on my educational experience that would suffice? Please advice. Thanks
Hello Lendi, I actually work with many international medical graduates such as yourself. So they definitely can get a job in clinical research. It's just that you need to start at the very beginning as a clinical research assistant and landing the first job is a bit tough as you do not have understanding of the research ethics aspects in the context of Canada etc. But keep applying and you can learn the rest through your roles if you dont want to do any coursework.
@@thebrownfeministcanada thank you for the reply, really appreciate it. Also is this the only option available to international medical graduates who come to Canada? I mean any good paying jobs out there? Or should we focus on getting our licensing only. Just as clinical research maybe MHA/MPH courses could also be an option.
@@lendltigdi3494 Yes, you should definitely work to get your licensing done. I have at least two coworkers who are international medical graduated. They kept working as a CRA while giving their licensing exams. Now they are waiting to be matched into residency. One just got matched this year, and she said her experience in research was helpful too.
@@thebrownfeministcanada so as I can understand that getting an entry level job in clinical research based on my medical degree from back home is possible. Hello Yanish, My journey into clinical research was actually a bit different than most people. I had a bachelors and masters from before in immunology and had more laboratory research experience. I only moved into nursing and clinical research later in life. If you are already doing nursing, then yes an applied clinical research program will be helpful. In my case I had lots of prior research experience so i did not need it.
I am from India I have a master degree in pharmacology I want to pursue a master in clinical research. Will i be able to do my masters in clinical research?

Hello Mam, i have a doubt regarding the Seneca college, do you know if it is open for Indian students? And in the website they says domestic students, so my doubt was is it canadian citizen students or students who are residing there already on study permit?
Hi Vishal, Seneca College as a whole accepts international students from all over the world. However, certain programs, in particular certificates and diplomas can be limited to domestic students only. This is often because the certificate and diploma are short and online or hybrid so you wont qualify for a visa on the basis of that. If that is the case, try to look for a masters program instead.

Hello Sanyam, if you apply for admission to a Master's in Health science / Clinical Epi program with co-op in Canada that will be the best idea, as that will allow you to shift your academic training to this field as well as give you hand on experience through the co-op.
