I feel like we are finally entering a new grunge era. post-punk is leading the way in its subversive simplicity towards more guitar led raw rock and roll
They are believable. Cos they’re here now. And we’re fortunate to witness them. Because they are different. Sod all this comparison to Sonic Youth and so on. Don’t people understand? Every band is the foundation for the next. Every band will carry echoes of previous bands. A talented band will use that foundation to build something new. Like Dry Cleaning have.
I saw Dry Cleaning at the Ramsgate Music Hall in the UK in January 2020 before Pandemic lockdown. Support was Sinead OBrien. Loved them loads. Looking forward to see some live music again.
What a great sound, sounds simultaneously Joy Division-ish whilst having a modern original quality to it. Bit on the fence about spoken word stuff though, all for relatable lyrics though! 😁
I was hooked when I heard this last fall - a nice wake-up from these past couple of years in music | takes me to Shudder to Think - something like Gang of $ with more drive
These comments are hilarious. I figured KEXP listeners to be more open to various styles, but no. I guess squares will always be squares. This band is an experience.
that's the most beautiful guitar sound i've heard in ages
PRETENDERS!!! Just wonderful.
YES
Kinda reminds me of Hong Kong garden
dude is really putting it all into his playing and it shows, great performance!
He’s sick! And the bass player rocks.
The fucking dogs bollocks. Up there with the Sleford Mods, Fontains DC, and the Idles. It is also great see Cheryl rocking in the background.
Ditto!! Love this sound! 🖤🖤
Much needed these days! 💯🤘🏾

Saw them by accident a couple of years ago, they were the warm up for Duran Duran….i was like….wtf….the guitarists were unbelievable

love the Su Tissue energy of Florence and absolutely adore seeing Cheryl jamming in the background
I'm a Janitor!
I'm a Janitor!
She's a genius, the band are great and also the nicest people ever.
I love the changes and boredom but patient lyrics. That song is bad ass to snowboard too. Awesome jam.
"A woman in aviators firing a bazooka" - This has to be the greatest piece of lyrics we never knew we needed.
First time i heard this band i thought "Dude, this guys came to fill Sonic Youth's shoes".
Damn, i think they broke the shoes.
Tom Dowse is my new guitar hero.
This band is great..The most exciting new music I have heard in years.
Just keep on watching. One of the best guitar riffs ever
Yay, new favourite band
Well that was easy lol
Same
Brilliant. First heard it on radio 6
These guys are just truly unbelievable. Once in a great while a band comes about and pushes rock forward in the most unexpected way.

This is such an adorable comment. If only you knew how generic and utterly plain this song is
@@Ncb2738 If only you understood what it means to be arrogant.
energy levels between the vocals and instruments creates a tension. Crazy vibe on this one
That just blew my face off
Refreshingly awesome! Fantastic guitars. Mesmerizing vocals. Best ive heard since sleaford mods.

RIP Mark E Smith!
Now a legend RIP MARK E SMITH
I'm not getting any Mark E vibes, perhaps a bit of Gang of Four
First thing came to my mind was she has great taste obviously listens to the fall, greatest group ever, RIP MES
This song is so rad -- great job on the sound/mix.
@3.13 oh man that look she gives the guitarist, like, is it supposed to sound like that 😂 the band is amazing though really hope to see them soon 👌😍😍
What a great sound, sounds simultaneously Joy Division-ish whilst having a modern original quality to it.
Bit on the fence about spoken word stuff though, all for relatable lyrics though! 😁
this guitar is so hot..
even better to watch this guy while he plays
That was so awesome I'm going to listen again.
Seeing them in Manchester. I am so exited!
I was hooked when I heard this last fall - a nice wake-up from these past couple of years in music | takes me to Shudder to Think - something like Gang of $ with more drive
I could listen to over an over just aewosme ❤️❤️❤️👌❤️
It's good this but how good ? Will you remember it in a year's time..love it 👍😎

Villanelle does ennui.
capturing a wee bit of The Fall - not easy. Gotta see them live
I just turn up the the volume on the solo at @3:01 until it melts my face off.
Feeling everything
Does anybody know where the logo on the drummers t shirt is from?
fucking love this, gotta find me a woman with a bazooka and a smashed ceramic shoe. Touches on a deep level. Cuts through the shit.
i need to learn how to mingle
thanks very much for the twix, dad
She lives next door to me. Yesterday she threw an old carpet over my hedge, I didn't think she'd have the strength.
@@chrisbodum3621 probably used a small catapult
yeah....these guys rule
Effing amazing
Didn’t recognize Kim Gordon and Joey Santiago at first! On repeat!
If you like this style of "talking garage rock" check out King Missile, "Martin Scorsese" and "It's Saturday" come to mind.
Life Without Buildings!
great vocal melody
reminded me of the joy division :)
The Fall
@@pilotaudio5411 I was about to say. Defo The Fall.
Mesmerizing!
Love your sound
Love it. Such odd lyrics.
Wow! Amazing
"Do everything and Feel Nothing."
Love them! Love this song!
These comments are hilarious. I figured KEXP listeners to be more open to various styles, but no. I guess squares will always be squares.
This band is an experience.
A man of taste.
I figure a few comments is representative of the entire audience. Derp!
Great sound, reminding me in a good way of the Fall.
Sencillante Perfecto
I think if you're paying attention mostly to the vocals, you've missed the point. I quite enjoyed this.
👏👏👏
The musicians are awesome. Bass line is mesmerising
Epiphanic
Fucking BRILLANT !!!
This track is Aces.
Jesus their hairdos are beautiful
Woooowwww!!!
The singer looks like she’s reading the lyrics for the first time on cue cards and is really confused about what they mean. This song slaps btw
She's not a SINGER. She's the speaker(ess), this is spoken word, not music (but musicians are great)
@@pilotaudio5411 It's still music.
i think that's the whole point of this song: not knowing what to make of anything
@@TheTigronette yes i think he missed the point lol ...and her eyes are darting all over the place anyway
Yeah, their music is awesome. But the non singing really puts me out of it
what a banger!
That was badass.
I just ate some shrooms to hopefully feel something... it’s a Tokyo bouncing ball....
Thanks very much for the Twix♥
"Why don't you want oven chips now?". Classic.
Fucking amazing
It's cool how she just talks all over
Wearing out that guitar!
I think I love her..... :)
David Grohl is still one of the greatest guitarists from the grunge era. Didn’t know he played bass. So Verse-it-all.
This answers that age-old question: what if Sonic Youth were British?
When u sad but u have to be gentle n kind
Nice!
It's like you a Fly style creature made of Gang of Four and Life Without Buildings is on its way to kick the shit out of me and I'm into it.
This is a raw ass killer version :)
I love ittt!
Coincidentally I too make ceramic shoes while I smash others, I like this band. Eccentricity is live.
Kexp: What kind of drugs would you like to have before the gig?
Dry Cleaning: Yes
Love 'em
Are they rushing?
I've come here to make a ceramic shoe
and to fire a bazooka and I am all out of ceramic shoes lol.
Lemmy on lead guitar!
Frank Zappa*
are these guys aussie or british?
They’re from London
This was so good
Maybe it’s just me but this feels like Sonic Youth...and I like it
