I'm entering my final year of college and this piece makes me feel nostalgic about my time at school. Definitely gonna pick this up as this year will be the last year I have easy access to a marimba.
Really debating playing this for my solo and ensemble piece... I love the groove, it's not too hard or easy for me, and I LOVE the meaning behind it! Regardless of solo and ensemble this is going in my mallet music playlist 🔥🔥 Edit: to add on, it really goes full circle because I played Flying Colours with my best friend last solo and ensemble. It was so great being able to do that with them!
Goddamn I miss the marimba… I haven’t really been able to play since starting college and it’s been so frustrating Beautiful solo, will definitely look into learning it once I have reliable access to a marimba again :)
