Hi Nick, I genuinely wanted to thank you for all the marathon series videos. I started training for Abu Dhabi Marathon a few weeks ago and your videos have been a huge guide for my training. You're one of the best and most differentiated athletes in the world. Especially being a great bodybuilder and a super great endurance athlete.
After years hating running thanks to the Army, I've decided this year is the year I'm learning to like it. Got 5k, 10k, half purchased, and 6wks into training. These videos are awesome motivation.
Good scientific knowledge being applied here, both from the coach and Nick. I take my hat off to you. Back in '84 I ran a 1:20 half marathon and am 6'1" then I weighed 160 LB. Big Man, I'm astounded at your dedication . Others will undoubtedly take up running and or any exercise having been inspired by this and your other vlogs then you really are a catalyst for good. Well done. From England
Oh man what a solid work out. Hitting splits at that weather is insane! Looking forward to seeing what you put down in Buffalo. I think it'll be closer to 2:40 than 2:45
I'm obese guy. been competing in Olympic lifting, powerlifting for 5 years now. started strongman. but 2 years ago started running. running at 320lbs wasn't easy hahah. but got better. ran a half marathon last year. but then lost a bit of the love of it. continued my strength training. but since finding your channel. I have been binging it. has helped me push through. started back up. it'd rough again. but really love the content!!!!
Running these paces at your size is really remarkable. Speaks so much to your nutritional and MAF method approach. I’m excited to give MAF a try over the next year and see how things progress.
It’s been extra fun and helpful for me to follow along on this one as you’re about one month ahead of me in doing my first big race! Ironman 70.3 Benton Harbor, inspired by you almost two years ago now. I was just getting into running when a friend showed me your video doing an Ironman in your mothers honor. I had lost my best friend a few years prior and was so moved by your video I decided to buy a bike and learn to swim to complete a triathlon in his honor. Now it’s the 5 year anniversary and I’m ready to level up to IronMan in his memory! Finding myself and pushing myself in endurance sports gave me the purpose I so badly needed in my life, so thank you for the inspiration to go one more. Just wanted to remind you how big of an impact you have on your viewers man, you’re setting a great example. Much love. Tear that Buffalo race up 💪🏼💪🏼

I just don't have upper body strength! (stats- will be 38 in October, 5 ft 110lbs body scan results say I got almost 30 lbs fat...need more muscle!
Not to disagree but regarding running & working out not really, its just very motivating to see. A lot of guys out there, not filming with similar body types & work ethic’s are doing the exact same thing, seen them running and racing 5ks to marathons.
I have a 50K in October. I’ve never run an official race in my life. I’m 26 years old and I’ve been a climber for about 6 years. Climbed V10 boulder /5.13c lead. Then one day 2 months ago my A1 pulley tore and I couldn’t climb anymore so I thought I’d do something while i went through active recovery. I’ve never really taken running seriously before 2 months ago. My first day out I ran 4 miles. And the next time out I did a 10K and then 8 miles the next week. So between watching Goggins/Jocko and these running videos I ultimately decided to challenge myself with my first official race being an ultra. It’s going to be the Perpetua Coast 50K in Oregon. I’m honestly surprised how quickly I’ve been able to increase weekly mileage while still feeling solid with no tweaking anywhere from over exertion. Only 2 months in and I’m doing 35-40 miles a week with 10-16mile long runs at a 7’55 pace. I haven’t even thought about climbing anymore. My pulley could be fine but I’m too busy planning my run workouts 😂. Anyways all of that was just to say thanks man for the inspiration. Never would I have ever thought I’d enjoy running as much as I do now.
