QuWAN SD-WAN technology automatically establishes a secure mesh VPN with QNAP devices at multiple sites.
    Supports Wi-Fi 6 dual-band 802.11ax (2.4GHz & 5GHz), delivering up to 3600Mb/s transfer speeds - 1.38x faster than Wi-Fi 5 - and supporting 4x more concurrent Wi-Fi clients!
Two 10GbE ports and four Gigabit ports for flexible LAN and WAN deployment.
Eight antennas provide a perfect wireless pattern view and supports Wi-Fi 6 for high-coverage signals.
Supports up to six SSID groups for different VLAN settings.
Compared with conventional routers with complicated IP settings, QHora-301W supports Automatic Device Search in WAN/LAN.
QNAP's next-generation routers go beyond simple IP settings and Wi-Fi connectivity, with the QHora-301W offering an all-in-one solution by integrating amazing new technologies for remote multi-site VPN, and high-speed wired and wireless connectivity.
The QHora-301W pairs an enterprise-grade Qualcomm Quad-core 2.2 GHz processor with 1GB RAM, providing support for Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and up to 3600Mb/s dual-band (2.4GHz & 5GHz) transfer speeds. With two 10GbE ports and four Gigabit ports, the QHora-301W enables flexible LAN/WAN deployment and optimized wired network performance.
When a business expands into remote working and distributed workforce operations, they face the challenge of VPN deployment efficiency and connection speed. Software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) technology effectively solves these issues - without requiring expensive enterprise-grade VPN equipment. The QHora-301W uses QuWAN (QNAP's SD-WAN technology) that automatically deploys connected WAN services and VPN sites through software-defined networking to achieve optimal network bandwidth and transmission speeds. Not only does SD-WAN improve IT deployment and management efficiency for multi-site expansion, but it also provides the reliable infrastructure to enable digital transformation and remote working.

Can you vlan tag the WAN for ISP's that require it for internet?
I need it so i dont have to use my ISP's router in pass-through mode. My home has a openhouse box for networking and this router would be perfect for it.

Craig, ever since the latest FW update it is not possible to select the 10GbE port 1 or 2 for WAN on the Network Physical interface config page.
I’ve recently changed ISP and as a measure I reset the 301W and updated to latest FW. Running through the initial set up I cannot take advantage of higher than 1Gb fibre speeds. I had previously had the 10Gbe Port 1 set as WAN on BT no issues with the 4 x 1Gbe LAn ports solely as LANs.
Are QNAP aware of this issue and are we likely to regain the use of the 10Gbe port for WAN. It’s disappointing and frustrating to say the least for such high end hardware now which is essentially locked at 1Gbe. Any potential buyer should be aware of this as of May 2024 as this now inhibits the ability to run an additional multi WAN set up and negates any fail over protection as the 301W is locked to Port 1 1Gbe LAN/WAN.

Nice router, but I do have some privacy concerns with the required login to the Qwan network. Exactly what data and access does QWan have to my network?

Simple question here, but if I use the 10g port as a WAN from my ISP modem (I have 1.2 Gig service) and the other 10G port as LAN connected to my PC's multi-gig NIC, can I still use the 1G ports as LAN outputs to other devices on my network?

@QNAP UK, Instead of having standby WAN using 1Gbe port 1 and 2! (Incase one fail)
Can I merge both WAN ports (both port 1 and 2) to get 2GB speed from dual ISPs?
Because I presume instead of 2GB aggregation it is only 1GB standby ?

Hi. I am getting an error when trying to connect to an USB drive connected to the Qhora. I am using the links in router interface. I have turn on the FTP server option. It asked me for the login information to connect to the device but then the browser indicates that "This file server Will Not allow any other additional user lo tog on. Try to connect again later" I am the only person trying to log in.

    Hi, I received one of these devices today (16Dec2023) - my experience is as follows;
On starting the wizard I was encouraged to upgrade the firmware from the 1.x.y version to a 2.x.y generation of firmware and then my issues began.
    1) the user interface is radically different from what is used in this youtube demo
    2) the WAN port is set to the 1gbe port and cannot be changed using the techniques in theis video
    3) online documentation available is for the 1.x.y generation of firmware
==> device configured with the new firmware effectively has NO documentation
    4) once upgraded the firmware cannot be downgraded --> doing a reset (via the physical button OR via the web GUI does NOT restore the original firmware)
All very disappointing and NOT what one expects from a vendor claiming to supply "business-class" components !!
