This looks so yummy! A hack I love to do when filling bags is to put the bag in a glass and wrap it over the edge of the glass and then you can very easily transfer chocolate or icing to the bag. I can’t wait to make this!
I really like that you scrape the bowl thoroughly. It drives me bonkers to see people leave a lot in the mixing bowl. Also, your error was great to see because we got to see your great save. Really like your style and intend to try this recipe. Looks great!
Never have I wanted to crawl through my screen and be alone with that entire tray . Now I won't be able to stop thinking about this 😂❤. Thanks for the recipe
@DebbieOguin-t2g I was asking myself that same question! Thinking sheesh, they're a spicy salty crowd! Lol. Only, the person you said this to wasn't saying anything critical at all 😂 BTW, this recipe is definitely worth a try but be warned, it's highly addictive!!!
You know what I like about your video? You used a spoon and spatula and you scraped the bowl clean. KUDOS to you! Too many who don’t use utensils and I don’t even bother to watch them. Keep up the good work.
A dot of caramel will hold it then you are not. Spraying oil that can land anywhere in your kitchen…including the floor…you are not forcing yourself and perhaps others to inhale aerosols ( very not good for your respiratory system) and you aren’t spending money on something that creates more problems than it solves
I use a damp wet paper towel and wipe down the baking sheet Also no more spray-on Pam or a sister product. I have a spray bottle I refill with olive oil, avocado or walnut oil and spray. No issues with spray fumes. I have asthma, so those spray fumes bring on an asthma cough, sneeze and choke. Good luck to all. Make this with your children or grandkids.
I will have to try it this way. I do something very similar. You just put rolo’s on individual pretzel pieces and put in the oven to melt for a minute or so. Just to soften then you take a nut of your choice and put it on top of the softened rolo and press to smush.
I've always called those a mock turtle. I've got a peanut butter cookie recipe that you bake in a mini muffin tin then push either a reese's mini peanut butter cup or a rolo into the top of it when you pull it out of the oven.
I just made this and it turned out amazing! I used pretzel slims for a thinner bark and instead of a bag of caramels I used Trader Joe's salted caramel baking chips :-) thank you so much for this recipe
I make something very similar to this bark, and if you haven’t done this, I love adding the crushed Heath Bar that comes already crushed in the bag and sprinkle it on top of the warm caramel and then add your drizzled chocolate on top of that… it is in the aisle where the chocolate chips are, and it is surprisingly inexpensive!!! And it goes a long way, I get excited for this time of the year it’s November, and I make a whole bunch of Christmas candies cookies and hand them out to my neighbors. They love it!!!I I can make a whole lot of Christmas candies using the heath bars, and it adds that perfect touch and if people don’t like the heath bars, your recipe as is is also very very good thank you for your recipe❤❤❤❤
Smash the pretzels then just sprinkle all over. Melt peanut, seed or any nut butter & drizzle. Chopped nuts, coconut etc...endless variations. I love those caramel bits. I add them to my trail mix. This really does look tasty 😊
I make each pretzel with a rolo on top put in oven till it’s soft and add a pecan pressing the rolo down. I will have to make these, my son would love them.🇨🇦💕👍
Looks great! I don't even bother with dirtying bowls or microwaving, etc. Just throw down whatever you've got.. hershey bars work best imho, but choc chips, wafers, etc. Top with pretzels whole or crushed, then put those caramel pieces or bits on top. Put in oven until melted, top with some more choc chips then swirl top with knife or fork as they melt. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, let cool then break. I'm lazy, 😉
Looks amazing!! You do so well and I can tell you and your husband are so kind/genuine. Your kitchen is beautiful. Much love and prayers to you and your family. ❤️🙏🏻💯
This is so much easier than making caramel from scratch. You’re awesome 🤩 I’m sprinkling sea salt and crushed pecans PLUS your drizzle of extra chocolate 🍫 Thank you 🙏 and happy holidays 🫶🏼
Oh miss Annie this looks so yummy. I can't wait to make this. Thank you for sharing this with us. May you have a Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. ❤❤❤
Thanks for this Fall snack idea, Miss Annie! Btw, no shortening is no problem. A teaspoon or so of butter would work with melting the chocolate chips too!!
Around the 8 mark you put chocolate in a bag. If you first put bag in a glass or cup pulling it down around the sides it will make it easier to fill . Then cut point.
I nade this for Thanksgiving and they were a BIG HIT! I'm making it again for Christmas. I give out baked goods for gifts. This will definitely be an annual treat to make.
That looks very yummy! I love this idea-- something that I would never think about making, but that’s why I watch, for new dessert ideas. I love the simplicity of the dessert.
This looks like a good recipe. I like that you work neatly -- also you were honest when you said you needed to melt a little more chocolate for the drizzle. Very refreshing to be honest and down to earth! Kudos and Yum!
I am excited everytime I see a product I have not seen or used before: The caramel bits and that particular type of small pretzel! I have made something similar but with broken pretzels and almonds. Can't wait to make your version. Thank you❤
I love barks and this looks heavenly! I will be using milk chocolate chips, though, since we arent fans of semi sweet chips. I'll have to look for the caramel bits!
I think another option for pretzels would be DOTS pretzels. They are lightly seasoned and a tad bit of salt, so wouldn't need to use tge sea salt. This looks like a great treat for my neighbirs for Christmas. Yummy. Tgank you
You could, however I think the sea salt on the top adds a little sparkle to it. Making it look a little more appealing. It’s similar to what glitter does to a card.
I’m going to follow you recipe and top it with roasted chopped pecans. I bought 2 bags of the Carmel chips at Aldi, earlier last month because I hadn’t seen them sold in stores before. Thank you for giving me something to do with them. Great demo! You are the queen of sweets! What’s your favorite appetizer demo(s)?
This looks really tasty… I think I would tweak it a little. I’d use the stick pretzels or regular pretzels and crush them a bit and make it a brickle and top with crushed pecans. Looks really good though…I’ll have to try it my way. Thanks for the great idea!🎃
I love this recipe and can't wait to make this real soon like tomorrow maybe I need to go to the store first. Thank you so much for this delicious recipe and God Bless you.....
I will definitely be making this and I’m so happy I found your channel. I’m looking forward to many more wonderful recipes of all kinds. Thank you for sharing.❤❤🎉🎉
Best recipe for this I have ever seen and it looks easier to make too as you've done it upside down next to all the other videos I have seen Thank you for this Annie.............. liked shared to my Facebook and subscribed for all notifications xx Jean from Scotland.
Add pecan bits and it’s a turtle bark!! Yum
Looks wonderful. Also great sprinkled with chopped pecans
Absolutely, then it's called Turtle crack! I definitely got to make this!
I’d add a second stripe with white chocolate for contrast/ depth….along with those pecans! The possibilities are endless! 🤤
Looks really yummy. I haven't seen pretzels like that before.
Oh yeah 😊
I would love it with pecans!
This looks so yummy! A hack I love to do when filling bags is to put the bag in a glass and wrap it over the edge of the glass and then you can very easily transfer chocolate or icing to the bag. I can’t wait to make this!
I did that tonight when I made this and it worked great - thanks for the tip!
Thank you! ❤
Yes ma'am! Thanks!🎉
Whoever came up with salted Carmel is brilliant! This looks so good!
Right?!!!
I really like that you scrape the bowl thoroughly. It drives me bonkers to see people leave a lot in the mixing bowl. Also, your error was great to see because we got to see your great save. Really like your style and intend to try this recipe. Looks great!
Me TOO!!! I don’t understand people leaving some mixture in bowls. Maybe I’m just a Frugal Cook.🤷🏼♀️
Agree
I leave some of anything I'm baking in the bowl, because I'm going to eat it raw with a spoon..yumm.
@@debbiedebbie9473😝
You are too picky.
Never have I wanted to crawl through my screen and be alone with that entire tray . Now I won't be able to stop thinking about this 😂❤. Thanks for the recipe
Why are. people being so critical on here geeeesssshh
Wait until you try it! I just did and it's so easy and absolutely amazing. I can't stop eating it 😂

Miss Annie if you spray your pan it will hold your parchment paper and keep it from sliding.
Then you have to wash the pan...👎
@@conniehahn4577Not if you spray it with water 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
And using an offset spatula helps spread, too😀
A dot of caramel will hold it then you are not. So simple, I love this idea, I think I’ll get a bag of mixed nuts and serve a variety. Thank you!
I've never made those but I've been lucky enough to receive them as "gifts" and they are SO good!!
Can’t wait to try this!
That’s exactly what I was thinking also! 😋
I've always called those a mock turtle. I've got a peanut butter cookie recipe that you bake in a mini muffin tin then push either a reese's mini peanut butter cup or a rolo into the top of it when you pull it out of the oven.

Anything salty and sweet is A-OK in my book!!! Especially when pretzels, caramel and chocolate are involved!!!
I'm so glad you put the drizzle on top!!!!! Looks great 👍

I’m adding this to my list of snacks to make for small Christmas gifts it looks amazing! Thanks for sharing.

Can also used carmel topping-no microwave needed.
This is such a neat gift idea. Adding Pecans would make Turtles like we enjoy here in Texas. Wow! Thanks for the idea!
I'll bet that would look so pretty with colored sprinkles for Christmas. I guess they even have candy cane sprinkles❤😊 Thank you for the video 😊
This Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark recipe looks so delicious 😋 Miss Annie.
You can use Lillys chocolate they are sweeten with stevia and erthyitol. It is delicious and it also comes in butterscotch.
Thank you for keeping your hair back! I’m really affected by people cooking with their long hair hanging over food. I know 😮
You think that's bad one You Tube cook always has her dog in the kitchen she even pets him while preparing her meals smh 🤦
@CarolShook-yg9nn 🤭
Looks amazing!! You do so well and I can tell you and your husband are so kind/genuine. Your kitchen is beautiful. Much love and prayers to you and your family. ❤️🙏🏻💯
I'm for sure trying this for Halloween an Thanksgiving thankyou so much first time I've watched your show awsome
Looks so good! Maybe Heath pieces sprinkled on top. Variations are endless. Thank you.
Best thing ever I've made it probably 10 times for Xmas it's gone before you know it big hit with everyone 🥰
This looks so darn good, I was tempted to lick my computer screen! Definitely going to try this!
Looks amazing. I must try. You can also stick your baggie in a cup and turn down the edges around the cup for easier filling.😊
Yummy ! I wonder how peanut butter melted & drizzled on top would taste like?
Reese's Take Five...Yum!
This is so much easier than making caramel from scratch. You’re awesome 🤩 I’m sprinkling sea salt and crushed pecans PLUS your drizzle of extra chocolate 🍫 Thank you 🙏 and happy holidays 🫶🏼

Thanks for this Fall snack idea, Miss Annie! Btw, no shortening is no problem. A teaspoon or so of butter would work with melting the chocolate chips too!!
My carmel morsels didn't melt properly, any suggestions
Oh my goodness this I’m going to make for my family for Christmas!!, thank u for sharing!!
Around the 8 mark you put chocolate in a bag. If you first put bag in a glass or cup pulling it down around the sides it will make it easier to fill . Then cut point.
If you spread those chocolate chips on to the parchment paper right out of the bag then pop them in the oven to melt it’s way easier.
Great idea
I nade this for Thanksgiving and they were a BIG HIT!
I'm making it again for Christmas. I give out baked goods for gifts. This will definitely be an annual treat to make.
Looks great I will use it as gifts for Christmas love the drizzle on the top and I will probably put some walnuts crushed love them❤
Looks delicious. I bet coconut flakes would be great.
Miss Annie this looks delicious I'm going to make it..yum!

Great recipe!! Our kids are coming this weekend & now we’ll be having an extra special treat! Thank you! 👏🏻❤️🎉
That looks very yummy! I love this idea-- something that I would never think about making, but that’s why I watch, for new dessert ideas. I love the simplicity of the dessert.
I used mini pretzels and it breaks easier. Ty for the basic recipe!
This looks like a good recipe. I like that you work neatly -- also you were honest when you said you needed to melt a little more chocolate for the drizzle. Very refreshing to be honest and down to earth! Kudos and Yum!
Love watching. Relaxing and comforting to watch
Hi Miss Annie! I watched this video on the day you posted it and two days later I made this. Oh my yummy goodness 😊 This is delicious, tfs 💛Blessing’s
I am excited everytime I see a product I have not seen or used before: The caramel bits and that particular type of small pretzel! I have made something similar but with broken pretzels and almonds. Can't wait to make your version. Thank you❤
This is like the take 5 candy bar except the whole top is not covered in chocolate. Yum
I love barks and this looks heavenly! I will be using milk chocolate chips, though, since we arent fans of semi sweet chips. I'll have to look for the caramel bits!
I'm salivating! That looks so yummy ❤
I think I can smell the caramel from here. 😋you did a beautiful job. A pizza cutter might be a great help.
I make something very similar and I just came across those caramel bits last week- they are the best! I love your video thank you ❤
Looks so yummy! Going to make for Christmas this year Thanks for this recipe! 😋 ❤️
I use the caramel bits a lot so convenient -will try this soon!
I think another option for pretzels would be DOTS pretzels. They are lightly seasoned and a tad bit of salt, so wouldn't need to use tge sea salt.
This looks like a great treat for my neighbirs for Christmas.
Yummy.
Tgank you

I made this for my friends for card night and it was a huge hit!! It’s definitely a keeper. Thanks. Merry Christmas 🎄
pizza cutter if knife isn't big enough. Maybe try a dark or white chocolate drizzle over the milk chocolate base.

Can this be made with shortbread cookies instead of pretzels? It's reminding me of Millionaire Shortbread from Ireland.
