Dust to Dust is from their album "Queen of the Murder Scene". That male voice is their manager Rudy, who is playing the role of a preacher on this concept album.

Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. They started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 18.
In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America along with Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. Earlier this year they did four shows with Muse in Mexico and finished 18 shows on the first US leg of their world tour. They then did concerts throughout Europe including opening for Muse five times in the UK and France. Many of these had 30-60 thousand fans in attendance. They recently completed the second leg of their US tour, played at the MTV VMAs, and opened for Guns N’ Roses. They are currently touring South America and will tour Mexico for the rest of 2023. In February of 2024 they will play Shiprock, a rock cruise, and in August 2024 they will play the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
All three are classically trained pianists and Dany & Ale can play sax. All three sing lead and background vocals; but Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They appeared on the Ellen Show in 2015.
They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. But later they all graduated high school through home schooling due to their touring schedule. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015.
They started as a cover band. Their cover of Enter Sandman launched their career. They now have 47 original songs in an EP, three albums, and two singles. No bad songs. Their newest single, More, was released May 12th. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances. Any video from the August 2022 concert at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City is gold!
When not performing they are humble down to earth individuals. Dany is a goofball and sweetheart, Pau talks with passion like a machine gun, and Ale is an introvert and a perfectionist.
When you fall down The Warning rabbit hole, you can’t go back!!

Dany is a gearhead and acomplishes her "fat" guitar sound by splitting her output into stereo and appying different effects to each channel plus a small delay between them before they reach the left and right speaker channels. The only time you hear a true second guitar is when they use a pre-recording while she plays lead. Also, Ale is a chameleon and constantly switches between root notes, rhythym and lead depending on what Dany is doing so at times she effectly become a second guitar.

As you know already from The Warning Army, Dany is the lead singer (about 75%), Pau is the chief composer & songwriter (about 90%) with Ale singing lead for a couple of songs to fill in when Dany is down. Every song goes through a team effort of composition after Pau's initial pitch with all the sisters involved in every instrumentation, lyrics, etc. While composing on her piano Pau has to keep in mind who is going to sing the song.

Dany the guitarist is the lead singer on most songs and Pau the drummer sings lead on a few songs per album, Ale the bassist only sings backup, but will sing lead live when Dany is sick.
They open quite a few songs with the bass, as being a trio the bass often acts as a rhythm guitar or even lead, plus on this song Ale the bassist came up with the opening riff first when composing the song, so makes sense that it would open the song.
Regarding hearing more than one guitar and using a backing track, the answer is yes and no. Let me explain. Dany uses a Kemper Profiler pedal board and sends out 2 output lines in stereo with a right & left channels, with the left channel having a small delay to give the guitar a bigger sound, plus sometimes she also uses an expression pedal to send a second signal that is one octave lower to also make the sound bigger, but they do also use a backing track with some rhythm guitar, piano, sound effects, etc. when needed. One thing to clarify though, they play everything themselves even on the backing tracks, except the sound effects, as they all learned to play classical piano also.

Paulina and Daniela sing lead on specific songs. And there are songs they switch lead with each other, like in "Disciple" and "Survive". Alejandra will sing lead ONLY if necessary, like whebn Daniela is ill or especially tired and only on two songs in particular "Red Hands (Never Fade)" and "Hunter." It's not that she can't, she just does not like being on the mic. That goes back to when she was very young, like 3 or 4. Paulina would like to sing lead more but even she says it is difficult to do more lead vocals. No, who comes up with the song and lyrics does not matter. Daniela is the primary lead vocalist.
Daniela, guitar, 23, main lead vocals; Paulina, drums, 21, 2nd lead vocals; Alejandra, bass, 18, rarely lead vocals.
They use a backing track and a metronome for live performances.

    • @mjc1389
      @mjc1389 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

They most certainly use a very limited guitar track. Dany can do some pretty amazing things with her guitar processor but she’s only one person and they can only put said effects on what she is actually playing.
Dany achieves a lot through different channels and delays to “fatten up” her sound but she cant play 2 sets of notes or chords simultaneously and actual guitarists/musicians can pick it out fairly easily.
It’s not a secret that they use guitar tracks at times.
It’s really not that different then what any band does in the studio when recording.
A large majority of touring bands play with a click track and use backing tracks. The Warning are not unique in this.

Absolutely! It's kind of like Iron Maiden that way. People tend to _vastly_ underestimate what a bass player can do (because they don't have many examples of it to listen to). Also, Dany's setup includes a doubler that delays and alters her guitar sounds to make it seem like two (or three) instruments depending on the desired output. What he hears is all *her* - this is part of how they create the "wall of sound" these ladies produce on stage. It is important to remember this is a "live" performance, so very little "post-processing" - if any at all - is made to this recording. What you see is what you get. It's really rather incredible to see them live - this setup of electronics, and Lalo's ability on the sound board, is what makes this band stand out despite there being only three artists playing. It's really quite astonishing live!!

They have a formidable innate talent, each one of them.
Despite their youth, they already carry a lot of experience in their journey, in addition to their great preparation since they were children.
Their attitude, discipline and willingness to achieve their goals are leading them to great deserved achievements.
They are still on the road to the top, but with too vast a potential to think that it will be inevitable.
In addition, the volume of quality involved in each of their creations is enormous... and the quantity of songs that carry this quality is enormous, which for me could be "The Warning label".
I'm sure that each of his creations is subjected to a meticulous quality process before finally seeing the light…
And not only technically, but also we have already verified that they have an exquisite taste for good music which emanates when they are inspired and creative.
Add to all this the fact that they are surrounded by an excellent family and fraternal team that is fully committed to their project and they have a tremendously loyal "The Warning Army" fan base that we are decidedly involved in supporting them because they have deservedly earned it for being incredible and amazing human beings.
I have been a fan at the time of many hard rock, progressive, alternative, metal, grunge and even pop bands, but I never found an album by those bands in which I liked all of their songs, I would like from one to the majority but never all…
But that's happening with The Warning.
This last example plus all of the above are the reason why they are my favorite band of all time.
Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽

There is a published video where Dany the guitarist explains how the entire guitar show works, first the pedal board has a phase shift programming, which causes a second guitar, increasing the noise of the first, another is that the pedal board itself has one click connected to Pau's laptop, where they place only a rhythm guitar and sound effects, only to accompany only the sections where they need strength, but everything controlled by Paulina the drummer, in fact everything is 100% live, it is only for boost force in a short section. If you listen to the entire concert, there are songs without any harmonic effect, just them, their instruments and voices. And yes bass have distortions effects too, keep rockin.

The "cohesiveness" comes from the fact that once the basic melody and lyrics are written on piano, all three of them arrange the music together, a process they've used since they first learned how to songwrite in 2013-14 under the guidance of Ale's bass teacher, Pablo González Sarre. When they finished their song-writing workshop they asked to be shown how to record their music, so Pablo asked a friend (Jake Carmona) to show them, and when they started making albums (released in 2017 & 2018) they were so involved in the production that Carmona granted them professional "Producer" credits. Today they are so highly skilled that in a recent interview their manager Rudy Joffroy says he never knows what they're working on until they turn in a fully arranged, ready to record song. I'm certain that when they're able to afford it they'll build their own recording studio. NOTE: Their ages are easy to figure since Dany was born in 2000 and the others are 2 and 5 years younger, so when they released their first album (XXI Century Blood) in early 2017 they were only 17-15-12, they were 18-16-13 when "Queen of the Murder Scene" was released in 2018, and in 2023 they are 23-21-18.

The bit with the spoken spanish in the middle is their manager. Back in the day, he used to do it live on stage with the girls. Now that they play a lot more shows they just use a track for it.
And yes, they do occasionally use guitar tracks to fill the sound, but it is hard to tell some times. Between all that Ale does on the bass to fill in for a rhythm guitar, and the effects Dani has on her pedal board. Dani can make her guitar very 'noisy' and basically create a wall of sound with it. Also I have noticed they also use cymbal crashes to fill the void of a rhythm guitar sometimes too.
They learned early on to not rely on tracks too heavily. They've had shows where the computer crashed and they had nothing and didn't really miss a beat. They have the human metronome on bass to keep them all in time when their click track goes out.
If you haven't checked it out yet, give a listen to 'Z' from this same show. It's a very basic song with just the 3 instruments, but you would swear there was more going on with how much sound they create with them.

So many questions, I guess I’ll answer the question on Dany’s guitar sound, while yes there are some guitar tracks for when two different parts are needed but the main big sound does come from Dany and her guitar processor, I don’t think on this show that she is using her Kimber processor that she uses now but I think the one she is using on this show works the same way where she is running multiple signals from the same guitar, I believe, one signal goes directly to her amp which is also mic’ed and she has a signal on stereo that goes to the show main board where it goes left and right and she can even add effects on each signal, quite impressive, and if needed Pau can change her effects for her as needed via the midi…

They do have quite a few songs starting with a bass run; Z, Disciple, Animosity are some others. Earlier on, Ale(jandra), played a greatly extended unaccompanied bass intro to this song.
The backing vocal is Rudy Joffroy, their manager. He did sing it live a few times, but he couldn't get the timing entirely correct, so for a while he lip synced it. They don't bother with that any more; it's just a track.
If you think they sing well in their second language (which they unquestionably do), you should see their interviews in English. They're always very polite and well spoken, but they really enjoy interviews with real experts in the field, such as Ryan Roxie. Dany has a slight but noticeable accent; Pau and Ale have very little if any. The only way to spot that English is not their native language is that they occasionally make odd vocabulary choices that native English speakers wouldn't, but it's very obvious what their point is, and I'd venture that they speak English better than most people who are native speakers of the language.

On this particular track basically all the guitar you're hearing is performance, run through Dany's effects rig with delays and chorus and octaver (and maybe loop?), and the only backing track is the Preacher during the breakdown. They don't really take turns on lead vocals. It is more about what the song requires. All three of them participate in the composition of songs, though usually, Pau is the one who starts off the process. She comes up with the main riff, the beat, and some lyrics. Often she composes at the piano where everything seems to start off as a ballad. Then Ale and Dany contribute their suggestions and the song emerges fro m that process. It works well for them. Each of them has composed complete songs without assistance, but they arrived at the joint composition strategy while writing Queen of the Murder Scene. This song was largely composed by Ale, though both Dany and Pau worked their parts around Ale's bassline. It seems like if Ale's contribution is more significant and usual, the song will start off with the bass. She is very good at using her instrument to fill in under Dany's guitar to compensate for not having a rhythm guitar. In a lot of their songs, especially the ones from the Error album, you will notice that the bass and drums are carrying the song at certain points allowing Dany to focus on singing lead and accenting that with her lead guitar riffs. It is a good formula for them.

I agree, way less breaks would be nice, and at least go back 10 seconds before unpausing

Glad you like them, but way too many interruptions. Almost painful to watch. And no, you don’t have to stop it that much for copyright.
And no comment on that incredible belt by Dany at the end…👎.

Do you have to have music playing in the background while giving your reactions??? What to hear you not that wear music - it's distracting. Just my opinion.
The Warning are 3 sisters from Mexico - ages as of 2024 - Bass player Ale is 19, Paulina or Pau drummer is 22 - won rock drummer of the year, Dany is mostly lead singer and guitarist and she plays a PSR guitar.

I usually do not whine about stops. I think it is up to the reactor to stop anywhere he/she wants, even in solos. But I agree, this was a bit too much.
