I think the pacers know what they have. You could tell as a rookie that he was an absolute steal. Him and hali are tough on teams because both are very good passers. But neibhard doesn’t give anything back on defense. Confident Rick Carlisle can make a top 3 offense with these two for the next four years no matter who else is on the roster now.
I think there are some players that (to a lesser degree) could also bennefit from a change of team that fits better around them. Josh giddey is legit the worst fit nex to shai but will be great (as an okc fan who has watched him the last 3 years) with White as his backourt mate. In his rookie season Josh played better with a rookie tre mann than a borderline allstar shai, that goes to show that he needs a guard that can catch and shoot and bases his game arround the 3pt. He has A LOT of things to improve if he wants to become great but the fit in chicago next to white dosumu and williams will be way better
I think a big difference in nembhard from Brunson and Harden is the strength aspect of his game. When the shiftiness fails Brunson can back down bigger guards and create enough space for leaning fadeaways, we’ll see howNembhard develops that aspect of his game because that strength weakness can be hid in the pacers ball movement offense. If he were to go elsewhere who knows
Pacers know that he has that kind of potential, that’s why they were eager to jump on the rookie extension. Thing is I don’t know if he can turn into that kind of player next to Haliburton, he’ll still be a great role player but you want the ball in Haliburton’s hands. Also as a whole the Pacers have a lot of young talent, like they took Mathurin with the 6th pick in the same draft they took Nembhard. Kinda feels like they’ll have to consolidate 1 or 2 of their young players at some point.
great video but brunson didnt walk because he wanted to. he was going to sign the 50-60m extension but dallas never offered it thats why when the knicks offered the 100m the reaction was that brunson was overpaid. now andrew nembhard is nice but just like luka and brunson, nembhard and haliburton do alot of the same. good thing indiana believed in him and extended him hopefully they dont trade him but he will be in talks.
as a pacers fan, i couldnt be more happy to have resigned him for the price we did. our front office hasnt missed on a move since we brought haliburton to indy
Doesnt Immanuel Quickley fall under this category? i think he is a better example. BTW, your content is now my new fave on the tube! pls drop more content
Nembhard is more like Malcolm Brogdon. He ain’t really shit 💩 my Knicks locked him up. Jalen is a different breed rare breed we might not ever witness a guard so unique as him. 🍎 and 🍊 💩 comparison 😂
@@gothbossbabyhe do nembhard is good but is a role player for the rest of his nba career he’s no where near Brunson and that’s just facts literally JB had no deep bench we were running 7 man rotation and was giving Philly and Indiana hell until we got hurt Indiana is an average team that beat teams with there best players being injured 😂

Hali doesn’t really add much in defence either other than his size, but he’s light as all hell so he can get bodied still
Nembhard definitely has stylistic similarity to SGA. Especially in their drive and stop game. Their stepback and fadeawat game looks almost identical.
yt recommended just found me a gem 🔥🔥🔥

that is a good point but Nembhard is already comfortable with contact
hard disagree, nembhard isn’t afraid to back down other guards and no stranger to contact
Great video, I learned a lot I can add to my own game thank you and keep making vids like these
glad the Pacers gave Nembhard a rookie extension. he's awesome!
This was pure fire! Your knowledge is amazing. How did you learn so much about basketball?

Great vid! Curious, do you think a ball dominant guard who shys away from contact could be a number 2 option on a championship team?
nope + 9/27 is ass + ratio
