When I was a kid I went to the Fox movie theatre which is now that Fox hotel mentioned and another very very nice attraction in Ponce is the Ponce Museum Of Art which I highly recommend but be sure to call in advance to make sure of the hours of operation (it had suffered some damage during the earthquake and was temporarily closed for reparations).

I have been to Ponce plenty of times. My mother lives there. When I went to La Guancha, it looked like the earthquake (as well as hurricanes) took a bite out of the beach. Masacre de Ponce (between Aurora & Marina) got trashed by the earthquake. When I saw that I stood there frozen.
The damage is definitely impressive and saddening. I’m hoping nothing else comes their way because they’ve been too strong after all of that. Hoping for better times for Ponce and the other southern municipalities affected. Thanks for your comment! 🙏🏼🇵🇷

Not sure when you were planning on visiting but keep in mind that it was recently heavily affected by Hurricane Fiona, so it might still be struggling from no power, no electricity or even struggle opening attractions when you visit. Hopefully it can recover quickly! 😔🙏🏼🇵🇷
Museums, views, mall, theatre, Castillo Serrallés, The Guancha, places to eat (Try the dumplings fills with diferent stuffs)... many things... Also quenepas depending on the month... Maybe is open the Taíno ceremonial park.

Sadly we had to alter our plans because the island sustained the Hurricane damage😱 so now we have to re-work our vacation times, but nothing is going to stop us from ultimately getting there! And if youre any indication of how helpful and friendly the people of Puerto Rico are, then theres no doubt we will have an amazing time!!
You should expand your reviews and guides to the fiesta patronales in PR, specifically on a monthly basis tailored to the tourist industry, gives us something else to look forward to!

@@BriksTravelGuides and also las fiestas de la virgen de Guadalupe they are celebrate every year in December 12 they are beautiful they have been celebrating this for years they celebrate the mass in honor of the Guadalupe they bring mariachis beautiful music the celebration starts at 5 am and continues until 1 pm sometimes longer

Quería visitar el Museo de Arte pero estaba cerrado por daños ocurridos por los eventos naturales (huracan y terremotos). Lo he visitado y definitivamente tiene piezas impresionantes. En cuanto a la Ceiba, desafortunadamente lo ultimo que se es que se seco y no es lo que era antes. El Tuque definitivamente lo incluiría en la próxima! Gracias por tus recomendaciones! 😄🙌🏼🇵🇷

Hey Michael! I’ll be honest, I spent a good amount of time in the plaza and I never saw ir open, not even on Sunday. It might be closed due to damage from the earthquakes. I’m not entirely sure, though. Hopefully people can visit it soon! 🙏🏼🇵🇷

Sorry for the late response! What days did you end up going? I would maybe do Thursday and Friday so you get the best of both worlds. Small shops are open during the week, but bars and nightlife in general is lively during the weekend. Hopefully that helps others! Thank you for your comment! 😊🙏🏼🇵🇷

Glad you liked it!! I’m honestly not sure about snorkeling or diving. My guess, based on what I know, is that it’s not great maybe non existent. Ponce isn’t really known for its beaches. However, there is a small island near Ponce called Caja de Muerto that might be good for snorkeling and diving! Maybe I’ll go for a part 2 and share that with everyone! 😄🙌🏼🇵🇷

You can cover next time EL Panteon Nacional and natural attractions such as Lago Cerrillo, Caja De Muerto and Isla Cardona.
La Hacienda La Mocha it is a very interesting place as well.
