Thank you so much for all your videos! Published my first books, sold 6 in 5 days. The book that is selling most, was made because it interests me and looked like a pretty decent Niche! Seems I may have been right. However I did manage to get my account suspended by not doing my research, the title was trademarked. Luckily got it back and learnt a very valuable lesson in checking trademarks and copyright!

These videos are really helpful and I really appreciate that you take the time to do these. Thanks to your tutorials, I’ve got a few books up on Amazon now and I’m excited about them. The only thing is that it seems that I have picked titles that have some traction already and they have given me great BSRs and positions on the first page but I have no sells 😂 So BSRs don’t always attribute to the book that is actually selling.
They do equate to sales. It;s only when Amazon sends the book out does it apper on your dashboard.
@@paulmarles Hopefully they show soon because I’m really confused at how I have a BSR of less than a million but every time I see my report it says zero units ordered 😅

Do I need to include some warning text about copyright issues in my book such as "No part of this book can be reproduced without written permission of the author etc. blah, blah, blah"? I've seen such a thing in some books on Amazon KDP when scrolling through their "Look inside" feature.
I've never actually done that in any of my books.

Hello Paul, I always watch your videos and thank you for your teachings. Today I bought the credits of the Keywords tool everywhere I wanted to ask you if you could make a video regarding the proper setting of this tool. When I turn it on I don't see the blue charts of google searches by month. Then I would like to ask you if we need to analyze also the keywords of bing, TH-cam and ebay... Can I turn off those controls in the tool settings?
Go to settings and turn on volume, CPC, Competition and Trend. No, you don't need to analyze keywords for Bing, TH-cam etc.

Paul, inspirational video. I started to publish something in low content area but the problem I find is that every product starts from the very bottom of the Amazon list, so, finding buyer is close to impossible. In your opinion is a keyword/category position, or is there some tricks to stay in a good position at least for some days so to attract new customer?
There are no tricks other than good keyword choice and use and good cover etc. Often Amazon will put a new book on the first page for a few days to see if it gets any clicks or sales to test it.

Hello Mr Paul, i have a book of children that sells in kdp, but i have made it simple, can i change the interior by adding some illustrations and change the cover in order to increase sales, this will not affect the BSR ??
Yes, you can do that. It won't affect the BSR directly.

You can create an interior on Canva which is free to use.

Great suggestions. I'll add them to my list. I don't do ads on plane lined notebooks. My strategy is very much the same as it was them. Only some very minor changes.

Hello Paul, I have gone through most of your videos and must say it’s inspiring. I am quiet new to this and trying to understand a couple of things. I want to ask, do I have to cite or reference sources if I write a book on something after researching on the topic? Thanks in advance.
If your referring to other peoples work then it is recommended.
So for instance if I am writing a book with the title “The easiest way to build a bridge” then I have gotten my data from multiple sources, I must reference those sources? Again whose name will be included as the author?

It depends on the type of books you're creating and also the quality of the books.

Having said that, I want to ask you this good question: I wanted to publish a mandala coloring book but I made a mistake while clicking color, I picked "standard color" instead of "black and white". Now, is it possible for me to publish the same book with black and white color? Is there any implication?
It is. Just unpublish the book with the mistake and then publish the corrected book.

Yes, you just have to make sure your not breaching copyright.

I am so upset I watched all your videos and created journals and logs books and got my account closed all my content was for COMMERCIAL USE, all my images and covers where my own. I am disputing this BUT I realize that the TITLE they say is copyrighted, I called it the 5 minute Journal like the pdf inside content was named that and this caused the issue?? Can you make a video regarding TITLES are we just to call or journal, journals? I hope they open my account, I had to reply to them with written statement.
they just reinstated my account but I am really not sure why my Title I assume was the issue. Please make a video on that or explain this to me. I think I had a subtitle too that was copyrighted but I removed it and they still rejected the book then I renamed it and they still rejected the journal? So I am not sure why?
Yes, it sounds like it was an issue with trademark infringement. Worth checking any future titles on the uspto.gov website to check for tradmarks.

Where is the option to print in color- or are the interior pages just printed in color if you design in color vs black and white ?
It's on the second page of the KDP upload dashboard.
Color printing is more expensive but color over 40 pages is very expensive.

Hello, Paul Marles, Hope you doing well. Help me please, Recently I created a five-books titled "Reverse coloring book" is not copyrighted But the title"The reverse coloring book" is copyrighted. Is this dangerous for my account kdp? or I should contact the support team for a solution? I wish your answer, please Thank you.
Change this immediately. “Reverse coloring book” is both copyrighted (the book) and trademarked (the phrase). You stand to lose your account and get sued - both.
If it is copyrighted then Amazon could temporarily block your account and then contact you or they could just close it straight away. You should remove the products straight away before they contact you. If it is copyrighted then even if Amazon do not pick it up, the copyright owner may and then they would contact Amazon. You could even face legal bills.
As mentioned in the other replies it is trademarked and so I would advise unpublishing your books straight away.

Hi Taylor, that's a great question and the hardest part about this business is the haters. You can get 100 great comments and then 1 bad comment will ruin your day or week! You're not alone struggling with this. All TH-camrs, as far as I can tell struggle with it. It's difficult to ignore but that's exactly what you've got to do. Their hate has nothing to do with you and just a reflection on their life and how their day is going. If you search 'Gary Vee and Haters' he has some good videos on it. Just had a look at your channel and you're doing great work. Don't stop!

I am not a US citizen.
It depends if your country has a tax treaty with the US. If it doesn't then yes, it will probably withold that amount.

I do have a company. Whether it woould be of benefiot to you would depend on your personal tax sutuation which I can't really answer. I do the KDP books and also the TH-cam channel as my jobs.

Look I am not interested in making hundreds of Dollars, I am not interested in producing of low content books. I just want my message do the world to be red and seriously considered. I have spent thousands of hours writings for 4 serious books. This was a waste of time and energy. There are many publishers out there.🙄😆 kdp is useless to me.

AMZ Suggestion expander Pro has stopped working. You can no longer download keywords. Uninstall/reinstall does not work and contact page on website does not work. I'm thinking maybe the company no longer exists if it doesn't work and they can't be contacted.
