Jurassic Park just rolls off the tongue a lot better than Cretaceous Park.
It's funny, nowadays the Spinosaurus greatly resembles the Suchomimus in terms of its crocodile-ness.
And Warpath’s Spinosaurus now looks more like Jurassic World Evolution’s Spinoraptor.
But back in the days it was already known that spinosaurs were nothing like raptors. Yet this is how the game creators decided to portray the spinosaurus.

This brings back so many memories. Also, triceratops sounds like it's taunting us, 'come on'
I find that Raptor "meowing" sound is rarely heard anywhere, even though it sounds JP-ish

@@-imgonnarexit-12349 yeah, only in the first movie as far as I remember. Then it's never heard anywhere else again. I was under impression that it was the Raptor's signature sound in the movies, just like how Rex typically has one among different individuals

I can easily imagine Warpath’s “Spinosaurus” being replaced with JWE’s Spinoraptor, along with Warpath’s Suchomimus being replaced with JP3’s Spinosaurus. Given what we know of Megaraptor now, I also think Utahraptor or Dakotaraptor could be a decent stand-in.

Come to think of it.. Michael Crichton, who wasn’t a dummy, REALLY had no reason to name his book “Jurassic Park” if most of the attractions in it are from the Late Cretaceous 😂😂

You honestly gotta hand it to the developers for using such specific dinosaurs instead of going for usual picks like Allosaurus, Carnotaurus, Ceratosaurus, Baryonyx and the like, since those are pretty popular carnivores with very distinct looks.
Though, granted, a part of me does wishes they were in the game or in a sequel because I love me some carnosaurs lol

Probably wasn't unlocked yet. They are unlockable by beating Survival Mode with each dinosaur.

It's a more primitive Theropod compared to T-Rex.
That pre-JPIII Spino looks so out of place... still, love this game

I prefer the Jurassic World Evolution style of the dinosaurs myself.
As much as I enjoyed playing Warpath: Jurassic Park myself, I would've preferred giving the Mega Raptor, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pachycephalosaurus and Triceratops the skin patterns that were given to them of the 1993 and 1997 films and have the Suchomimus be the Spinosaurus instead since they have a similar body shape.
Maybe if Warpath: Jurassic Park had been released after Jurassic Park III had been released in 2001, the designers who worked for Black Ops Entertainment could've had the Suchomimus look like the Spinosaurus.
And the designers should've also included the Stegosaurus too.

It's too bad this game sold an estimated 280,000 copies, I blame EA's piss poor marketing, otherwise Black Ops Entertainment most likely would have made a follow-up on the PS2.
