      IRL even though the plasma is very hot, it barely has any mass (so volumetric heat capacity is like 1000 time lower than air). It's high temp only means that it will lose heat and not be plasa anymore when comes in contact with ANYTHING.

    Not sure if it has been suggested already, but some ideas for space ship names: take something from Stargate. Includes, but not limited to: Daedalus (earth made ship for interstellar travel); Destiny (the one from Stargate Universe I believe), The O'neill (an Asgard ship named after O'neill - note the two Ls, there's an O'neil with one L, he's kind of a looser); Aurora; Ha'tak (is a Goa'uld mother ship, not a specific name, but all mother ships are called Ha'tak); Beliskner (Asgard mother ship, also known as Thor's Chariot); Al'kesh (a Goa'uld mid range bomber, can carry only a couple of people with two driving seats and a little cargo bay - it is a general name for this type of ship, not a distinct name, same as the Ha'tak).

    Seems like putting the fusion stuff under the "from Aquillo" group is incorrect since it is only needed once and the "from aquillo" group should be for constant resupply from Aquillo. Of course, you could always have an extra fusion reactor set in storage on each planet for if power gets out of control so you can easily slap it down.

    On Inner Planet Freighter, under the bottom left asteroid collector there is a wall piece missing, at least there is one on the right side, so for the sake of symmetry there should be one. On Gleba, in the copper bacteria factory, in the chest where you request the bioflux and nutrients, it is set to iron ore and not copper, think that is an error too, this one is on your save game. Thanks for the blueprints.

    6:00 - from what I see, you had to use diamond shape to maximize neighbor bonus. One on the left column, 2 in the middle and last at the right.

    • @cainau
      @cainau หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That doesn't improve the neighbour bonus over what he already has, since the one on the left and the one on the right would not be touching.
      It would still be 1.4GW, you would then have 3 places you need to get the cold fluroketone in instead of only 2, and it would be less compact.

    • @cainau
      @cainau หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does seem very odd that you need to heat the outside of a pipe to 30C for it to be able to transport any liquid on the inside, whether that liquid is -150C (Cold Fluroketone) or +180C (Hot Fluroketone).

    • @Herderus
      @Herderus หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it drives me absolutely nuts that you have to heat these things... Or foundries, or that turbines blasting with 500C steam freeze. I'd rather have all kinds of boxes and solar panels freezing

    • @OniNaito
      @OniNaito หลายเดือนก่อน

      While I agree with the sentiment that the freezing mechanic is absurd, factorio has always prioritized fun and interesting challenges over realism. Nuclear reactors and train locomotives in your pocket. Distance between planets off by orders of magnitude. Offshore pumps and belts that work with no power. Tiny flying robots that can carry a rocket silo and build it tunnel and all. Personally, I learned to suspend my disbelief with Factorio a long time ago lol.

    What are the advantages of making the blue circuits on Vulcanus and not nauvis or fulgora? On fulgora at lesst u already have the red cirucits done.😅

    • @cainau
      @cainau หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've been suffering a lot of decision paralysis with Space Age, because I often can't decide which planet to make things on.
      Like with blue circuits, everything you need except for plastic is really easy to get on Vulcanus, but you could get them directly from scrap on Fulgora...
      Another example is belts. On Fulgora you have so many gears from scrap processing, you also have easy lubricant directly from the heavy oil ocean, and easy circuits for the splitters, so it seems like it could make sense to make blue belts on Fulgora. But then green belts can only be made on Vulcanus, so you'd have to ship the blue belts over there, but then they're mostly pretty easy to just make on Vulcanus in the first place... But then what do I do with all those gears on Fulgora?

    • @M_1024
      @M_1024 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the beat way might be to import circuits from Fulgora if there is more then enough, and otherwise make them on Vulcanus

  • @HuntingAjax

    You mentioned in a previous video that you would do a guide on the wildcard in trains. Any chance that it's scheduled for release? I'm so lost...

    • @cainau
      @cainau หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In case you're stuck with it, the most important thing to realize is that it determines the item to use for the wildcard from the wait conditions on the destination station, not from the interrupt's trigger conditions. It seems really weird, but that's how it is.
      If you're trying to do an interrupt like "when I have cargo, go to an appropriate drop off station for that cargo" - set the interrupt condition to "Has cargo in inventory", set the destination station using the wildcard in its name (you can't just pick a station, since one with the correct name will not exist, you need to enter the name with the wildcard), then set wait conditions at the destination station of "Empty cargo inventory", plus another of "Cargo [Wildcard] >= 0". I must be >= 0 so that it can trigger when it has the cargo (item count > 0) and still pass and allow the train to leave once the train is empty (item count = 0).
      Basically, you need to have a wait condition that contains the wildcard and will be true both when the interrupt should fire, and also when it should leave that station.

    • @HuntingAjax
      @HuntingAjax หลายเดือนก่อน

      @cainau Thank you. Got the system running. Do you know if there is an easy way to make the trains evenly distribute between the stations (outposts), now they prioritise the closest one (if its not already occupied). In the main base with multiple stations with the same name I've set up a priority system with circuits. Could do that with the outposts but it's tedious and perhaps inefficient

    Im not sure if power is so needfull on vulcanus. If you have big amount of space you can just use solar pannels or steam power. On this planet energy is not a problem (sorry if bad english)

    • @AliceErishech
      @AliceErishech หลายเดือนก่อน

      While fusion requires more work to get it set up, it's less effort in the long run compared to solar. With solar, you need to be constantly producing solar panels, accumulators, and power lines (which might not have a high cost in the late game but it's not negligible and it's more expensive than an equivalent amount of fusion power) and then you need to frequently clear land and stamp the blueprint down due to how little power each cell provides.

    • @cainau

      Yeah the amount of steam you get from acid neutralization blows even the buffed solar out of the water. 10k steam from one calcite and the sulfuric acid geysers can have absurd yields

    • @MrTomyCJ
      @MrTomyCJ หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      First steam is much more compact and cheap in terms of materials. Then fusion is even more compact and is extremely cheap to keep running. You save on time and space.

      Factorio's fusion plasma has temperatures of >= 1,000,000 C.
      Iron's melting point is 1,538 C.
      So it could actually make sense...
