Loved Betty in “How to Marry a Millionaire” and “Three For the Show” but “How to be Very, Very Popular” did nothing for her.
Betty hated that last film. She agreed to do it believing MM would be her costar. After she agreed to do the film, MM refused to do it. Not because of Grable but because it was a bad script. Betty was stuck. Sheree North replaced MM. The movie was OK but a sad farewell to the end of her movie career. She retired from films and concentrated on television and Vegas. My favorite movie blond.

A very dear friend of mine (connected to the entertainment industry) told me (several times!) that Betty Grable was the nicest, most down-to-earth celebrity he ever had the pleasure of knowing. P.S. Why would you use that horrid "after" picture and present it as Betty? It wasn't of Betty - she deserved better from you.

Her relationship with Remick was insanely abusive as she constantly cucked him out with other men and verbally humiliated him. Her daughters were also a target for her physical and psychological abuse.
I don't believe what you posted here. Read that she and Bob Remick had a great relationship. I do know that he refused to talk about her when a few books were written about her and they asked for some information from him. Still my favorite blond of the golden age of hollywood. And I might add that Harry James was not the nice guy she thought he was when she married him. I believe he abused her occasionally.
@@dpf5939 I wasn't trying to undermine what Grable achieved as a performer, no one could even if they did try. It's easy to see why she's a favorite of movie fans even today. And you're right about James, he was no saint. But she was apparently attracted to domineering men and sought out conflict in most of her personal relationships with them. Remick was far from domineering, but as I understand she still managed to supply plenty of conflict.
